USB flash drives have become so inexpensive, nearly everyone has one. But as they have gotten more available and every so tiny, it becomes that much more likely that you’re going to lose one, and all of the sensitive information on it. Better lock it down with today’s discount software promotion, Lock USB!

Lock USB password protects your USB and external drives in seconds across all operating systems and file systems. With Lock USB, you’ll be able to use your USB drives with the full assurance that your files are safe if you lose them or they otherwise fall into the wrong hands. No Windows, Mac, or Linux system will be able to access the data on your drive if you use Lock USB.

Best of all, Lock USB doesn’t require administrator privileges to be installed and is completely plug and play. The password protection is installed as part of your USB or external drive.

Michael R. 3 Questions:

(1) If I have a bootable USB-Stick (with some place for additonal files), will it stay bootable after using LockAUsb?
(2) If I send a LockAUsb-locked USB-Stick to a friend, does he have to purchase LockAUsb too, or install anything on this computer or is all he needs already on the usb-stick and he only has to know the password?
(3) Is it possible to lock different files with different passwords (or have all the files on the USB-stick the same password)?

DH007 I have looked at domaintools for the domain and it seems that they are actually NEWSOFTWARES.NET. This group sells on their main page a product called USB secure which likely is what is offered here under separate name. Then in their FAQs it says "A single-user license allows the program to be run on ONE USB drive only."

The same sw group also sells a product Copy Protect previously offered here that from my experience was rather inferior in terms of real protection.

When looking at this software it "protects" in seconds so I assume that the protection is not really strong and may only prevent basic users and grandmas from accessing USBs but it will not protect against someone with a little more knowledge.

Can the seller reply to above, please?

bsr007 (1) Can you install Lock A USB on one PC and use it to lock multiple USB drives?

(2) Can the software be easily uninstalled by the user from a USB drive if no longer required?
