If you're like us and find yourself continually working with text, you've probably found yourself wondering why software developers can't seem to build decent font browsers into their products (and yes, we're talking about YOU, Microsoft Office).

Fortunately, there's an answer. MainType is a powerful but easy to use font manager and font viewer that takes all the frustration out of managing your fonts.

No more frantic scrolling through long, cluttered lists of font names. No more confusing 'Baskerville' with 'Bodoni'. MainType is packed with tons of intuitive features that make it simple to find, preview, organize, install, and print your fonts.

MainType contains a font information panel that allows you to compare fonts side-by-side and reveals important typographic data. For easy access to your fonts, this font manager allows you to categorize, rate, sort, and search for fonts within your collection.

Give MainType a try today! Trust us, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

This promotion includes the following:
MainType Standard Edition ($49)

Mr Dave I enjoyed using this many years ago on my MS Vista PC. I had about 2000 fonts and many more I didn't install because it's so hard to manage them. MainType addressed all my concerns but one, and I found it easy to work with once I figured out the difference between install/uninstall/load/unload.

Not sure if Win 10 has the same font nightmare, and I'm not using so many graphics programs that all install hundreds of fonts (i.e., PrintMaster, Corel Draw, Serif Draw). Might get this again just in case, it truly was helpful.

My concern: what happens if I have all my fonts categorized and some loaded, some unloaded, and then Microsoft spins the Magic Code Wheel and decides to alter some deep part of Win 10 that this program relies on. MainType quits working, how do I get my fonts back to where Windows can use them again?

Erwin Denissen If for some reason you are no longer able to run our font manager, then you either need to manually locate the fonts, or use a font manager.

MainType also comes with a backup and restore feature, but that will only work within our font manager. In case you are worried about a hard disk crash, it might also be wise to export all your fonts to an external drive.

Robert User @High-Logic:

A lot of typefaces are distributed in Zip files, which is a convenient way of saving them on disk. MainType does not open Zip files, and I can understand that when doing the initial search, that could add a lot of time with very few Zip files containing typefaces, but when a folder is added manually, it would be nice to see MainType go into a mode that would open Zip files (after all, the user has already implied that typefaces exist in that folder or subfolders). Have you ever considered this as an option? It would be a significant improvement for users that have a lot of typefaces in Zip files.

Erwin Denissen This looks like a nice enhancement for a future release.
