All of the information that you need to do your job comes through a single hub, and that hub is Microsoft Outlook. Your entire day, in fact, is spent receiving and reviewing emails and attachments, all through Outlook. Yet, Outlook was never meant to be much more than an email program. With MissingLink Project Management, though, Outlook evolves into a full fledged project management tool!

MissingLink Project Management unites all of the files, contacts, and email messages about your projects together in one central location, right in Outlook. With MissingLink Project Management, you can search and capture critical emails on a project-by-project basis, maintain a complete revision history of every attachment with the ability to retrieve prior versions. When your project is completed and finally put to bed, you can use MissingLink Project Management to manage your data, deleting outdated information without sacrificing important items.

Best of all, your old projects don't have to clutter up your Outlook PST file! MissingLink Project Management offloads all of your email messages, files, and attachments to an industry-standard database system, ensuring that you'll always have space to tackle your next big job!

Paul Vaccaro I downloaded the demo version and have one question and a comment. 1) Understanding that a single license allows me to utilize alternately my desktop and my notebook is there a way for me to locate the database files on a shared network location? 2) It seems to me that the appointment window would be more benificial if it reflected an agenda of upcoming appointments / events for the associated project rather than a calendar.  In other words if I have a related appointment today, one tomorrrow and one a week fromm today it would be nice to see all three at a glance.

Kevin Moore Hi Paul,

Thanks for your comments:

1. You can locate and move the database to another location on your PC. To do so, from the Dashboard, right-click on your project tree and go to Database->Properties. That will display the location of the database, you can also move it from that menu.

2. I appreciate your suggestion about the calendar and will look at adding that functionality in the future.

Kevin Moore Hi everyone,

Thanks for your comments:

@Cameron, I am having some difficulty with the coupon and my payment processor, I am hopeful they will have it resolved soon.

@Ash, It does support Outlook 2010. Thanks for your feedback regarding the functionality of the system. I am working to add new features daily.

@Martin, the system the same in Outlook 2010 and 2007 so when you upgrade it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks again,

Kevin

Paul Vaccaro Kevin,

I can see use of your program in my industry (real estate sales) but I  have a few more questions;

1.  I am confused about the function of tags.  What is the function of DoNotDelete and CanDelete? Can I add my own tags? Can I somehow search by tags?

2. Can one item, contact, email, calendar entry be linked to more than one project?  This and the agenda view of the calendar are critical.

Kevin Moore Paul,

To clarify, Tags offer you the ability to further clarify and annotate your information. You can define you own Tags and start "Tagging" your information based on your own needs. There are two default Tags, "DoNotDelete" and "CanDelete" that are system level tags that I've added that can flag that the system can either delete the item (Contact, email, task, file or appointment) or not delete it based on your selection.

Currently you can link a contact and email to more than one project. The Task, File and Appointment are restricted to a single project only but that is something that I can add if you require it.

Nick Kobe Hi!
Is the software license per COMPUTER or per USER?  I have a desktop and several laptops and frankly do not want to buy a copy of the software for each of the computers I use.  I am the only user of these computers.  Thanks!  Nick

Kevin Moore Hi Nick,

The software is licensed on a per user and per PC basis. So you'll be able to use the software on more than one PC, but another user cannot use the software on another PC while you are using the software. I draw the analogy that the software is like a book, only one person can read a book at a time.

Thanks,
Kevin

Johan Bothma Hi Guys. I used the program in Outlook 2007 and I have to differ from you. It helped me a lot. I since then upgraded and this is now where I pick up hassles. All I can say to Kevin is - keep it up. I have tried Maximizer but cannot get any support from them - I also don't know of any other tool that will seamlessly store all relevant info, documents, mail etc within Outlook. I know Prophet 5 does something similar but it is a lot more expensive and you cannot get a trail version to test it. Regards Johan
