Peter User If you want to download the trial from the paragon-webpage you must register - NO, thank you. To test a SW I don´t give them my dates! Paragon: Keep your trash and you´ll never see me again. There are enough (and better looking) alternates...

David O'Neill I uninstalled Paragon Backup and Recover 2014 Free before installing Paragon Backup and Recover 2014 Compact. As a result, I seem to have lost the Recovery Media Builder. How do I now access that, please?

John Tour @ Peter User:
I've used and appreciated Paragon software for years & have never had a problem giving them my dates (sic). Nor do I ever get spam email from them.

I'm sorry we'll never see you again as you'll never see my comment.

Robert Snith I do NOT understand. You have use the link to complete registration but then they NEVER send you anything. I have tried 2 times and still nothing. Nothing in junk mail or else where. Seems they are just trying to collect emails to probably spam everyone. Most of the times you just get the numbers to registor the software. But this is reall hard to get so I gues I will NOT be using it.

H. H. @Peter User I´m registered user of paragon products (e.g. harddisk manager pro 2012 and 2014) and to my opinion paragon is a serious / reliable company, offering high qualitiy products at a reasonable price (and at least until version 2014) wihtout annoying online-hardware restricted activation procedure (as e.g. easus todo back up and acronis true image use). I never have been spammed by paragon or have any hint, that they forwarded my email adress to another company. To my personal experience paragon harddisk manager has been the most reliable software for backup of whole harddisks / partitions and the only one which really managed recovering on different hardware (tried various other products like acronis, easeus (caused a really disaster with total systemcrash on win 7 64bit), farstone total recovery,...). I´d recommend testing their programs and take advantage of their kindly giveaways. H.H.

Peter User @John Tour: I can see your comment - Paragon will never see me again but not BDJ...
To you and @ H. H.: Spam is not the only reason why I don´t want to give them my data. I am from Austria (that´s the reason for my poor english) and we have often good TV-magazines where people are warned to do so. Most say: It´s only my mail-adress - but it´s not so easy: companies can make a lot with it! Why gathers Paragon the adresses - just for fun? I don´t understand when I´m interesting on their SW and will download a trial why I should register me?!? When I buy or use the SW it´s ok - but only for testing it: no, I´ll pass...
I hope soon in other countries, people are encouraged to be more careful with their data and the bad habit of collecting will end.

Paragon Software Hi Frank!

Yes, you need to go to the registration page to get your product key and serial http://take.ms/TChzG, so you need to be connected to internet.

Paragon Software @ David:
You could backup ISO files from C:/Program Files/Paragon Software/Backup & Recovery 14 Compact/iso/ folder, install BR Free and then copy them to C:/Program Files/Paragon Software/Backup & Recovery 2014 Free/iso/. So you can burn BR 14 Compact to your flash drive with RMB.

Clarence Jackson I went through your process and was told my key would be sent through an e-mail which I have never received. I clicked on the option to resent it but didn't received that. I tried to download the program agaqin and was told I had already had the copy. I can't click on anything to get them to send me another email with the unlocking key.

H. H. @paragon yesterday I posted these questions, but I suppose, that they had not been read, because I made 2 postings and the second one was "hidden" auner the "read more" - so I´ll ask again and hopefully get an answer

a question regarding your backup vs virtualization solution : In case one wants to use a whole installation of windows and additional programs (installed on a physical partition/disk) as a virtual machine in vmware or virtualbox - what is the best solution? you offer (e.g. in harddisk manager pro) under 1.the tab "new backup format" a "backup to vd" option 2 and at another tab "copy &migrate os" with the "buttons" a) "create virtual disk" b) "P2V Copy" 3. under "backup to vd" one can choose "new backup format -pvhd" - what is the advantage of it - and how can it be used regarding virtual machines or conventional physical restoring? "googling" did not really help, to figure out the differences and appropriate usage of the various funcitions,so it would be kind if you could clarify the questions thank you in advance H.H.

Paragon Software Hi H. H.!
If you wish to use your physical OS in a virtual environment the best option is P2V Copy because it creates ready-to-run Virtual Machine (supports VMWare, VirtualBox, Virtual PC, Hyper-V). Also it injects required VM drivers into OS.
Create Virtual Disk will create either pre-virtual disk or convert physical disk to virtual without driver injection and creating VM configuration file.
Using Backup to VD you can create virtual disk in VMWare, Virtual PC or Hyper-V format (other hypervisors are not supported) but then you will have to create new virtual machine and attach virtual disk to it.
PVHD format is not for virtualization but especcially for backup since it supports compression, encryption and split to speed up backup to network.
