And when it comes to resizing your digital images without loss of quality, PhotoPlus X2 Digital Studio has you covered, offering numerous algorithms that give you the ultimate power and flexibility.

For the artist inside of you waiting to be unleashed, PhotoPlus X2 Digital Studio offers plenty of features that will bring your creativity to a new level. Apply artistic styles to your photos, such as Impressionist, Van Gogh, oil, pencil, paint and ink, or watercolor! Experiment with one or more effects, such as Halftone and emboss! Or create original masterpieces with your choice of brushes. You can even use PhotoPlus X2 Digital Studio to create animations, suitable for use on websites!

You'll be amazed at how well PhotoPlus X2 Digital Studio organizes your digital photos. You can search by tag, image attribute, or browse by calendar date. When it comes to sharing, your options are wide open - print individual photos, collections, and contact sheets, or burn Photo Discs. adrian williams Its good to see Serif software offering a discount on their products. It may encourage more users to buy direct rather than buying the latest veriosn off ebay. I've used serif software, photoplus, drawplus and pageplus for years now and they are a much cheaper alternative to the adobe range of products. They have a good forum should you need any help. I rarely have problems with the software - its stable, intuitive and is updated quite regularly. Patches are released for your existing software and then the occasional 'new release'. You can often tell when a new release is due when they offer the existing release for a really cheap price.
You'll need to register the software after purchase. Take my advice - register online rather than by phone. You'll avoid the heavy sales pitch and bundle offers while the system generates an activation key. Come on Serif, we all know how quickly a keygen works.
That said - consider buying the software, It'll serve any photo editor well. It's a shame you can't download it to try though.

Joan Korte This appears to have a lot of features and I really wish I could try it before I buy it. I need to know if it will work on image files such as jpeg, png, and on clipart to remove unwanted lines etc. IOW, I need it for more than photos. For the price, it seems to be a great deal! Thanks for your help.

adrian williams Try this link :- http://www.freeserifsoftw...efault.asp

By the way, the answer to your questions are 'yes'.

Serif also offer their older versions of software for free, hopefully expecting you to buy their latest one.

Joan Korte Adrian,

Thanks!!! Very helpful link. Now, I am searching for a chart (s)which shows the history of PhotoPlusX2, v9 and SE. Or one that compares features. For instance, how long has PhotoPlus X2 been out--same questions for v9 and SE. This seems to be a very good product line, across the board.

All in all, I am inclined to get the most up to date version despite the cost factor. I do appreciate so much your help. Thanks.

adrian williams Spend some time on their support page. Also look into the 'community' section (their forum) to get a feel about how others use and view the software.

adrian williams A way of seeing what's new is to view the online manuals for the more recent releases of photoplus. The introduction section includes a 'whats new' summary. Take a look here http://www.serif.com/comm...anuals.asp
I haven't found a feature matrix yet. Maybe serif can help at this stage.

Joan Korte Thanks, Adrian, for all your help. I did spend time on their website and the community seems very active. I looked at the What's New in the manuals. I'll call them today because what I can't find out is what the upgrade cost will be when the next major version comes out--after I purchase this one. I have never used this type of software and want to make sure it is easy to use.

Joan Korte I called Serif and dealt with their sales and actually got a deal with a color manual, cd rom and free shipping for a little more than I would have paid if I had gotten the download here. Either way, the download here or waiting for the cd, I think it is worth it. The more I read reviews online for this software, the more confident I felt with my decision.

Lee Ann Tarducci Joan- I've been using Serif software for many years. In fact, I teach software at a local university in the Adult Ed department and use Serif software for this purpose.

It's very intuitive and a HUGE bargain. I have Adobe Photoshop on my Mac and I wind up using PhotoPlus X2 on my PC far more because I have an older version of Photoshop (can't afford to upgrade it) and the X2 has more features.

I know you'll be very happy with their products.

Daniel H Not only it says to me after applying the voucher code "
* Wrong: Sorry. We have not recognised your voucher code. Please check and try again." but the price switches automatically to £59.99.

Curt Henning de Thurah It really is a bad idea that we can't test the program before purchasing! Bits du Jour could at least give the link to the user guide: http://www.serif.com/comm...Plusx2.pdf

SOFTWARE GUY Just want to point out something - PSP Photo X2 is $39.99 all of the time at amazon.com, this Digital Studio version is $61.99 and you get the full box with the CD and the manual (useful) and Ultimate is $71.45. These various options offer the full boxed edition with manuals everyday close to the download price offered here today. Just want to put some options on the table for everyone.

Bernie Marasco I'm afraid that you may be adding comments to the the comment section of the wrong product. We are not using Discount Codes. We are promoting AceReader. Did you mean to post your message on the PhotoPlus product comment section?

Prof Abronsius Whaaooo! It's very fun! I have posted on photoplus and found my post on AceReader. Everything looks swapped between the two products including the discount. It's why there was a lot of issues...

Prof Abronsius

I have posted the same comment on AceReader page. (I am currently on Photoplus page!)
