The internet is ubiquitous. You just turn on your computer and there it is waiting for you to access all of its wonderful and varied data. But let's face it, there are still some dark corners of the world where internet access is intermittent, slow, or simply unavailable.

Fortunately, that doesn't mean that you can't access your favorite webpages or sites. With MetaProduct's Portable Offline Browser, now, you can take your favorite parts with you!

With reliable transfer of files from the web to your USB drive, Portable Offline Browser lets you keep the web at hand. Offline browsing lets you view, edit and browse web content without a solid connection. You can even store audio and video files for playback at the highest bit-rate.

Portable Offline Browser can be automated so that every time you can connect to the internet, you'll always have the current version of your favorite pages and sites.

Don't go looking for the internet. Just pack it up and take it with you!

Please note: Today's promotion is for the current version (5.8) of Portable Offline Browser. If you purchase, you will be eligible for a free upgrade to the upcoming 6.x version. In fact, the same registration code will work for all 6.x versions.

Peter C1 I have never used your Offline Browser, but I'm very keen to buy it if you can answer my inquiries. Good to see this works with Internet Explorers *.MHT format (which appears to be little known by many Windows users), but, I have THREE separate questions to ask the programs developer/seller:

Q1. Will this Offline Browser work with the *.MHTML and *.MAFF archive formats that Firefox webpages can be saved as, if the Firefox user has installed the ''Mozilla Archive Format' [http://maf.mozdev.org/] and/or ''UnMHT'' [http://www.unmht.org/unmht/en_index.html] add-ons?

-----

Q2. With every version of Windows I have ever used up to XP SP3, when you go to open a saved IE *.HTM/HTML or *.MHT web-page it will always open a browser window which is much smaller than the standard size I have set as the default, will Your Offiline Browser always open the saved webpage to the user's preferred window size, or, the size of the Offline Browser Window the user has set?

For example: I prefer my IE windows to be a default non-maximized size of 1040 pixels wide and 760pixels high (unless I have maxmized an IE windows for some reason).

If I save an IE Window to a *.mht or *htm/html and then try to open that webpage using IE, the opened webpage will almost always open as a window of perhaps 800pixels Wide x 600 pixels High.

Which then requires resizing to a size I can see and read and prefer. (It is a real pain and is probably some setting that could be altered in the Registry if I only knew where to find the setting).

-----

Q3. Can a webpage be initially opened by Offline Browser from the main Windows 'right-click' context menu?

Alexander Bednyakov Peter Crosby:

Portable Offline Browser doesn't manage MHT files or controls the way they are open in your system. It can download sites (more than one page as usual Web browsers do) and browse them offline. It can also create MHT, CHM, EXE files with embedded sites inside these files.

In fact, I think it is more practical to create CHM and EXE files, because they contain compressed data and occupy less space + they open faster. CHM files can also have a contents list to navigate all stored pages instantly.

And as far as I remember - these formats also store the open window sizes and restore them when you view them again.

Q3. Can you please describe it in more details - what do you mean?

Thank you!

George M How does this differ from Offline Explorer Pro? If you have OE Pro, do you need this software? Thanks.
