I am using the latest version, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025.

So, is it a false positive or is it really finding something?

Roderick Nicolson I'm a little puzzled. What can this program do that a scanner and it's own program already does?
What about it's OCR capabilities, you say very little about it, yet that must be it's main selling point.

Valentine User We developed our application to make the scanning of books or documents easier. Surely you can use your scanner's standard application, but using ScanPapyrus would be more convenient in many cases.
Moreover, the scanner's standard application may lack some features. For example, it may not be able to save scanned documents to the MS Word format.
Alas, our application does not have any OCR features yet.

Thomas Evans I like this program. It's a lot easier to use than Paperport. Problem is it's not really worth paying $17.55 without OCR.

Valentine User Surely having OCR capabilities is good, but sometimes it is nearly impossible to recognize text reliably enough. Oftentimes it's much easier to save a document as is. Our application is intended for users who need to preserve the document's original look and feel, or for those who don't want to bother to recognize text.

Michael R. Is it possible to do a continuous scan with a small pause (e.g. 5 secs) to let the user change the sides in this time WITHOUT the need, that the user does anything at the PC?

In other words: once he started the process, he can stay at the scanner and just switch the pages until all is done, before he needs to return back to the PC.

"The key feature of this application is the automatic scanning of books or documents: ScanPapyrus can start scanning each page automatically at a specified time interval. During the in-between time, you can turn the page of a book or change the page of a document in the scanner."

Loco78 * As for me, this works well, has useful features and most importantly is able to scan documents from paper to digital which makes it much easier my life. You no longer have to search through piles of letters or documents I need to find a file. Just create an electronic library and quickly you can quickly access what we want which is very easy to work, correspondence where you need the original document in the appendix and the like. I would have liked a little more obsluigiwanych formats such as the OCR. I think that the program will be updated and expanded in the near future (so I hope) So far, I say Good Work only so forth.

Joe M I have installed the trial version.
I do not see any capability of the program preforming OCR.

It automatically recognized my Epson scanner.

It was a simple program if you need a page scanned but I don't think it is worth having if you need the OCR function. I even saved a file to a Word doc. When Word opened, it just opened it up as a image file, not a normal Word document that you could edit the text.

Next I tried the book scan mode. I had to press down hard on my scanner lid to get it to scan both pages. Again, nor OCR capability.

I did not see a way to even print a scanned page using this program. You will have to save the file as a PDF or a Word doc, and then print it.

If all you need is to scan page and save it as an image file this my work for you. Otherwise you will need to spend more money to get something more useful.

I will pass on this program since I have other programs that will scan and OCR the document.

Cary Adams DOCX export is misleading, as the DOCX file only contains uneditable page images.

Without OCR this is little different than the "free' software that the scanner vendor packages with their scanner.
