Ok, we know, typically Bits promotes discounted software, not FREE software. After all, since we get a cut from sales, what's in it for us?

The SoftIcons.com icon tools let you specify all of the standard color and resolution formats, to crop and proportion the images pre-conversion, and even utilize a few handy image effects (sharpen, greyscale, and invert).

File "http://www.softicons.com/...co\Boo.ico" is infected by "Win32:Ircbrute-C [Trj]" virus.

I have checked it out and it has some of the best icons that I have seen. Let alone that they are free.

This developer is sure to get some excellent traffic.

Mike G I discovered SoftIcons the hard way. If you're looking for icons, maybe BDJ can save you some time. I can't tell you how many gaudy sites I had to wade through with flashing ads (my pre-Ad Muncher days) and other obstacles you have to jump through to access page-after-page of icons that just didn't fit the bill.

The SoftIcons site was a breath of fresh air--an oasis in the desert if you will. Very well organized. No hassles, no distractions. I quickly found what I was looking for among their many high-quality, aesthetically pleasing icon sets. The tools are Web-based, so no need to install anything.

Yes, freeware is unusual/rare/unprecedented(?) on BDJ, but they picked a good one.

Mark K Is this deal an advertisement for using SoftIcons free downloadable icons and on-line tools, or is there a program to download?

Using FireFox, the download link shows "Object moved to here.", but "here" is the same page. Using IE 8, the download link won't load.

Clicking the Buy Now link takes me to the softicons home page. Beats me where the link to "buy" it is on their homepage.
