William Hopper Cannot receive key. Nowhere on setup to enter email address to receive key.

mike User To receive, I ran the installer after install I let it open then another little window opened to fill out in order to get activation key.

Robert Bull Key installation does work, IF you follow the instructions exactly, which is a fuss. The ScreenRecorder_pt3.exe file is just a stub, it installs more stuff. Free version watermarks all your videos, and pops up a splash screen every time you start a new video to tell you to upgrade to remove watermarks. It doesn't seem to echo keys. If I press Alt+F, say, I want to see the characters "Alt+F" shown in the video at that point. This is valuable if you want to report unexpected behaviour of a program to its author by tracing exactly the steps to cause the problem.

Robert Crombie The good news - I managed to install, and entered the license key. Have not tried video yet, but screen capture has no nag on it.
If we could ask god to eliminate all the people in the world that are too tight to provide separate windows devices to family members, we could get MS defaults to desist from burying downloads down a path like -
"C:\Users\robcr\OneDrive\Documents\SoftOrbits Screen Recorder\2023-12-29\11-21-12.png"
It is like a mineshaft dug by a rabid Wombat.
I usually change program's defaults to C:\DOWNLOADS\
SoftOrbits appears to not allow us to change that setting ?
Can anyone help ?

NM No key sent to me either. After filling out my valid email address and pressing "Get free activation key" in the set-up window, no email was sent whatsoever.

OLIN Big problems in getting the free key, solved all day. The installer is misnamed, but if renamed, the installer will not finish. If you rename it at the end of its name, it does tighten, but the window asking for the free key no longer appears!
