When was the last time you needed to explain to your grandma how to register FB account?
OMG, that was a lot of work!
But we all love our grandmas and don't want to scream over the phone, "search for that large blue button"!
So we have to keep ourselves prepared for the future ;)

No worries! Stepsy now has you covered.

Document your steps in no time.
Stepsy is a simple yet powerful software to create software operating procedures, process tasks, step-by-step guides and manuals and share with your colleagues and customers.

All the tools you need to create stunning procedural documentation are here in Stepsy.
1. Blur sensitive data within webpages before capturing the flow;
2. Go through the process; every click will automatically capture a screenshot;
3. Edit separate images after capturing;
4. Stepsy would also auto-merge duplicate steps, so you don't have to filter through them.

Afterward, save the screenshots as a zip file with HTML and images, or upload them as a GoogleDoc!

From GDocs, export it as a PDF, DOCX, or any other format needed for your distribution.
Or send the guide to your recipient, who can also be your grandma!

LU I almost bought this until I read your privacy policy. You guys collect a lot of information and this being a capture type software, bank accounts, crypto accounts, important papers, etc... makes this to much of a risk for me.

If you guys would stop collecting information from your users, I would definitely be in, but not yet.

Good luck.

Alex Rem Hi LU,
Sorry that you got concerned about this!
We don't collect personal info from the web pages themselves; in this offer, everything stays within your web browser, and only some telemetry reaches our server (like your latest login, or your email).
Please let us know what privacy policy sections got you concerned, and we will review them. We used a template for documentation SaaS that probably was "too much" VS what we actually collect.

Alex Rem Hi LU,
I see where the misunderstanding came from.
We have plans to introduce a new tier of functionality with multiuser cloud collaboration storage similar to wiki knowledge base (codename "Stepsy Workspace").
It means that you would capture screenshots, and some private data could appear on those screenshots that you would upload into our cloud. But the data would ultimately be yours.
After a quick consultation with my legal advisor, we decided to remove the first two clauses not to cause any concerns about client data security. We may add it back when we actually introduce this functionality in the future, also notifying all the users about these new features and the possibility of upgrading to get those.
The current set of features (codename "Personal Pro") will remain without any access to your data (because we don't store it).
Thank you for pointing this out! Hope now it is more clear.

LU Thank you for being so responsive and understanding by looking into my concerns. It is rare that people do that. They usually have a chip on their shoulders and get defensive. You did not and resolved my concerns.
100% love it.
Thanks.

Robert Crombie Surely (Shirley), there would be a collection of examples that users have created, on subjects that we can relate to ?
Can you point us to them ?

Alex Rem Hi Robert!
The app is pretty simple, and we've never collected examples before.
Please check the video to see the result:

Robert Crombie I was a senior analyst in IT for 20 years
Occasionally managers would appoint a programmer to be in charge of things. That always failed.
if you have an analyst in charge of these decisions he will see the benefit of providing working examples of what can be created.
Instead of pointing us to a small mute training video on how to create a tutorial.
Analysts appear to absent in many companies. If you have one, please run my suggestion past him ASAP.

Alex Rem Hi Robert,
As of now - no, we are pretty small and don't have analysts on the team. But I get your point, we will surely start collecting examples.

Thank you!

Dexter Bell Hi Alex,
I think I have the perfect use for Stepsy, a web based app, along with some other things. But I'm an idiot, and an old idiot to boot.
I have: installed Stepsy in Chrome; checked that it is on; given it permissions to do everything in the world and scrutinized and resized my browser over and over, but I can not find the Stepsy icon to click to start recording.
Only once did the icon appear, briefly when I went to uninstall the program then it appeared on Chrome's main bar.
Any idea how I can access Stepsy?
Thnaks, I really want to try it.

Alex Rem Hi Dexter!
Oh, don't blame yourself! It is not that intuitive!
That's why it is part of our onboarding tutorial in here: https://docs.google.com/d...niixsV/pub

For easy access, first pin the addon, then access the record button by clicking the Stepsy icon in extension bar.

Dexter Bell Got it. My only excuse is that I don't use extensions in Chrome. So when I saw the pin pointing down I thought that meant that it was pinned. But oh no, it is pinned when it changes color. Really logical, my real pins always change color when I push them in to the cork board.
Thanks to you but not to Chrome. :-)

Mike B Does Stepsy only record browser activities?

Alex Rem Hi Mike!
Yes. But there is a plan to extend this to desktop captures for PC and Mac in future.

Hasan User I just purchased the product, but I changed my mind and I want a refund. I did not relized that you want administrative access to my google account. You did not mention that in the fine print, that is misleading. I need a refund directly from you or through my credit card. It is unethical to sell product without telling the consumer that you will have access to their most sensitive data

Constantin Florea @Hasan User, I just sent you an email asking for your confirmation on the refund. Could you please reply to that email?

Alex Rem @Hasan,
The access we need is to publish the exported data to your GDrive only; NO other operations are done. We are using Google APIs.
