I looked at the website hoping to find a changelog. I found the documentation contains what's new but it is for full versions only, and it does not show the date of when the version was released. The forum has some info on version 22, 23, and 24, but I could not find any specifics on dates other when the posts were made.

Where can I find an actual changelog for all versions? Thanking you in advance.

Rex Conn We don't have a single changelog covering all versions and minor builds. The new features are covered in the "What's New" section of the help; the bug fixes are in the build update announcements in the Support Forum.

guy t974 Hello ,
does take command offer similar features to what macro utility applications offer, or is quite different ? Thanks !
Jul 25 at 1:13am Copy Link
Rex Conn Take Command supports macros as a (very) small part of its overall feature set. If you are only looking for a macro utility then Take Command is probably more than you need. If you're looking for a more powerful command processor, batch programming IDE, and tabbed console interface that also has support for macros, then give Take Command a try!

Michael R. Will v25 fall into the 3-months-free-upgrade-window (or in other words: will today's buyers get v25 for free)?

guy t974 I have bought a copy , the learning curve seems to be steep , but the potential to do much more than what windows explorer has to offer in terms of file manipulation for instance seems also to be worthwhile. I'll probably need to ask for help on the forums though :)

Rex Conn Michael R. - yes, v25 will be a free upgrade for today's buyers.

Matt Hello Rex,

I purchased an earlier version of Take Command here on BDJ.

Are you able to offer a discount for your past customers that want to upgrade to the current version?

Thank you.

Rex Conn The BdJ deal is for new copies only. The problem with discounting upgrades as well is after splitting the payments with BdJ, we would lose money on every upgrade order. (We break even on the new copy orders - the hope is that we'll attract new users who will upgrade in the future.)

Matt Hi Rex,

I can understand that.

I just bought version 24.

Thank you for your willingness to offer us the free upgrade to version 25!

Michael R. Thanks for the answer, just bought it.

Another question about a maybe later purchase of the extended support (including upgrades):

Is it sufficent to have a licence of any former version of TakeCommand, even if it is not the latest version or has been purchased earlier than one year?
What's the latest date, I have to buy extended support (for $39), after my purchase today?

Thanks a lot...

Rex Conn Extended Support can only be ordered together with a new or upgrade order.
