Michael User I'm sorry but this is one of most ignorant introductions I've ever read: "Gone are the days when you could do math in your head." The calculator is just a tool. You enter the numbers and look at the result. Doing the math in your head involves determining if that result is in the ballpark or a mistake was made with entry. As to voice entry, I write articles using my tablet. Often, even with careful enunciation, editing is required. With writing, this is not so important; with bills, purchases, any form of accounting, accuracy is the whole ballgame. That math in your head is an always necessary safety net. Anyway, punching a few keys doesn't seem like a hardship.

Wearsie Jackson Agree with Chris that the subscription based license is a deal breaker for me too. And, Michael User makes a great point about a poorly thought out introduction - it is scary to think that people cannot do math in their own head.

However, the coupon code you receive in the receipt email will remove the advertising banner for 6 months.

Jo Ann Rice I'm signed up for emails for Mac and PC, but how in the world does this app have any connection? This is for phones or android tablets, not Mac or PC in any way.

P.S. I have the app (paid version) on my phone, and I like it a lot, so this is just a comment relating to the fact that it's listed falsely for which systems it can be used on.

1. Open Settings drawer (it can be opened by swiping from the left edge of the screen or using a menu button);
2. Click "Enter coupon code" button;
3. Enter the giveaway coupon code which you received in the receipt email.

Jo Ann Rice This isn't the first time I've seen this app list that it's for Mac, PC or Both and it's not for either of them. This is an Android app and should be listed as such.

Having said this, it's a pretty slick app on my phone. :)

Colin McAllister Seems odd to me that a Voice Calculator app has a video demo that uses nothing but keyboard, copy and paste, and music overlays. Was it not possible to use speech to demo this program?

I'm not certain what this offers (apart from maybe a multiscreen I doubt I'd use) over the inbuilt calculator.

Jo Ann Rice Even at the cart it says PC and Mac, and you don't get any clue until the installation that it's going only to phones as the only choices you get are for your phones.

Please fix this particular ad so it's not misleading in the future.

John H Just loaded this to my phone and entered the code to remove the ads for 6 months.
I like it.

It needs a paper tape type display for accounting.
Touch screens are not always the best for critical numerical input. With voice, I can watch the displayed input instead of my fingers. Unlike mechanical adding machines, the touch screen has no real tactical feedback even with vibrate mode.

Jo Ann Rice So, 2 years plus later and this is still being listed as Mac / PC and is neither. Once again, PLEASE stop listing this for those systems, many people will be duped into buying this for their desktops only to find out they wasted their money and cannot use it there.

This is inexcusable that it is taking this long for BDJ to straighten this out as it's been listed many times in the past few years always with the wrong systems.

Constantin Florea @Jo Ann Rice, I am sorry about the confusion. You are right, this product is neither for Mac or PC. The issue is with our own system used when we set up a promotion, that system requires that we specify either a Mac or PC setting for any title and if we don't specify one then it will automatically consider the title is available for both Mac and PC.

However each promotion has a "Platforms" section which should contain the correct platforms on which the product can be used. In this case that section has the following text:
"Platforms: Android "
