Rick Stone I've watched the video above, visited your site and watched other videos and unfortunately I'm *STILL* bewildered about exactly what this software actually does.

I'm intimately familiar with CHM format having used the RoboHelp software application for 20+ years. So I'm aware that one creates HTML pages and combines them with a Table of Contents file and Index file before compiling into a final CHM file.

Does this software simply open and is used as depicted in the video? What I'm seeing is what I might imagine the author would see. What appears to be missing is anything that shows that your software creates a specific output. Does it package all the content inside a CHM file that one would later distribute? If not, what exactly does the end user see after you have modified the content?

Norman Wong @Rick Stone - You are a CHM expert, you better understand CHM. if CHM had multimedia features, that would be great! If editing CHM easily as edition MS Word, that would be great! and if MS Word had multimedia features, that would be great! MS Office Word and MS CHM can't do these for you, but Vole Media CHM can.
1, Vole Media CHM can create, edit and privew VMC Media Lib (.vmc).
2, Vole Media CHM can make VMC Media Lib via importing embedded templates, any MS Word and any MS CHM documents.
3, Vole Media CHM analyses imported documents, save user media resources and create internal link to create VMC Media Lib.

Roc Assisi I had a free version of this software on my computer. I registered for the giveaway of this PRO version, downloaded the setup from the link given in my email, ran the setup, chose repair installation and tried to input registration details via the "renew" option, but all boxes under the renew option would not accept any input. What have I done wrong? Please help..

If the software can't link to registration server, all the input box will be disable. You may check internet link firstly, if the internet link is OK, then close firewall when register. If all done but still doesn't work, try change registration server. We provide 2 registration servers, you can switch them via the top right toolbar button with a nation flag icon.

Brian De Bragança Despite my misgivings about any 'Vole' product, I downloaded this from the link given in the 'receipt' email which also included the serial key. Installed seemingly without problems but the executable launched from the desktop icon results in the main window opened but almost invisible on the desktop (as if a process within the application has set visibility at around 1 percent) and the process just hangs. I have to use Task Manager to kill the process. Can Norman or anyone solve this problem, please?

Windows 7 Home Premium x64-bit system running on an Intel Corei7-2600 CPU and a Samsung 840 EVO Series 500GB SSD drive with ESET Smart Security which, elevated, allows the executable to contact the update server.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot data! Just as you said, we found the program didn't finish the main screen initialize. Vole products support window docking, there are a lot of window docking work to do when start. It seems the software can't work at your computer now. We'll keep your license until the end of this Renew Code service duration. We hope solve this issue in the next release. You may try to reset your monitor setting from multi-screen setup to single-screen setup and try again. Perry DeJesus It is totally ridiculous that software should be so difficult to register, free or not.
Where is this flag can change the server location on the upper right side. can't see it anywhere. why is it necessary to jump through so many hoops to register anything really. Program launches, disabled all firewall security and anit-virus in Norton still doe not work. Win 7 64. No other problem with any other program. Totally nuts.

If I understand correctly, you said that there are several Versions and that the HOME Version is CALLED the "Professional Version" and does NOT allow for Commercial Use, therefor would NOT be used to send a "finished file " to CLIENTS (CONTRARY to what the Description at the top of this page says "perfect for distribution to clients ...") !!!
Looking at the "Comparison Chart" that you referenced in your reply, I see your distinction between "Professional Version" and "Business Professional Version" !
I would like to suggest that... without the Comparison this is rather confusing to your customers. Perhaps you would consider renaming the "Professional Version" to "Home Pro Version" or something similar. Just a suggestion!

Or that upgrades are free for the first year, but the software continues to work after that time? In either case, how does this comport with this statement:

Andy Phillips My impression is that the phrase "12 months license" has been added to the title of this offer since I made my comment. It's still not clear to me from Mr. Wong's response what happens to the functionality after the 12 months are up, despite following his link, but I consider my comment addressed nonetheless. Trialware is a perfectly respectable way to make a product available, provided that it is disclosed properly.

Vole Edutainment is amazing presentation software that can present a variety of local and online resources. Vole Media CHM is a MS Office Word based multimedia library that supports preview, review and digital sign.

Vole Edutainment is used for presentation, Vole Media CHM is used for creating and managing VMC media library including digital sign.

Vole Media CHM media library description file is based on Microsoft Office Word. Word is stunning (Online Word service is free now), can include text, font style, images etc. So VMC media library description is stunning.

Vole Media CHM has Word2CHM function can convert this Microsoft Word media library description file to CHM format. Any heading line in Office Word will be displayed as directory in CHM.

Vole Media CHM lets you link and preview local media and online resources on any heading line in the Word doc. So when you preview and click the heading line, the software will auto play the embedded media in built-in media player.

Norman Wong @Danny - The software only can convert Microsoft Office Word doc to CHM and displays the converted CHM doc in the software left directory window.

The software can link any documents and online resources into it.

Most linked resources can be previewed in the built-in media player such as images, audio, video, Text, RTF, PDF, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, websites, online media, YouTube video etc.

So Vole Media CHM can't convert other Word doc into CHM doc. Vole Media CHM can link other Word into single-file VMC Media Library. Vole Media CHM can't preview other Word doc in the built-in media player. Vole Media CHM can export other Word doc from the Media Library at any without any modification.

Any Sanwhole Products support VMC Media Library (can view and export).For example VMC Media CHM can create and modify the library; VMC Reader is a free VMC Media Library reader; Vole Window Expedition is a file manger can preview local disk VMC Media Library; Vole Internet Expedition is a web browser can preview online VMC Media library...

When you publish VMC Media Library, you can set the library license. There are 6 licenses type for you. The default is "Publish Domain" means anyone can modify the library without password. If you set "Group Domain", you will set a password in the library. Anyone have the password can modify the library. "Free for all", "Free for personal", "Free for business" let anyone read the library but can modify it. If you set "Private" license, you can set the people's HID into the library, that means only the computer can open your library. You can click the "Advanced" menu and select HID command to get the computer's HID (Hardware ID).

Norman Wong @_*_ - Yes, Like Office Word TextMaker is good word processing software too. But Microsoft provides free online Office Word recently. As long as you have a hotmail address you can free use almost all Office features. They have tried their best for us, why not give them a try.

I downloaded both (Installer and Portable)
I have questions about which to use, and hoped the FAQ might cover that
I could not find the FAQ from the 2nd link you posted ?

I have been looking for a Tree type program for a while for a friend who has a small business.
Any I had tried to date, got sluggish when too many images were included.
Will that be a problem with your program ?
I purchased today's offering to experiment to see if it meets their needs.
If I feel I can recommend it to them, can the staff member download a fully functional trial, so she can see if she likes using it (creating their manuals) ?
Does the trial last say 30 days ?

I am off to walk to the Supermarket, so I will get back to here in an hour to see your responses.

You may install the installer one because the portable one can be install on USB disk but will run slower, it depends on your USB read and write speed.

Vole Media CHM has tree structure and each tree node can be link enough images. And you can add Office Word style description to the tree node, you can add reviews to the tree node. When you click the node, images, description, reviews will be display sync.

There is no quantity limitation to tree node. But there is a total 200 images limitation in each VMC for ultimate edition. This limitation can be changed on enterprise edition.

The software free edition have full function but the image limitation is 10. If you need special test copy, please let me know.

Exactly how much will it cost us in 1 year's time ?
And if there will be two choices ( yearly lease AGH! or forever HURRAH) let us know the price for each ?

Dennis Johnson From what I've read, I understand it to say if you post something on their site and it gets #votes, you get an upgraded license.

Norman Wong We start "you help others we thank to you" activity less than one month. Participants have 12 months to achieve the 10 like votes. We believe that you can do it!

And more, we issue the lifetime license in advance (generally 3~5 working days after this promotion). That means you can get the lifetime license in advance even you don't get any like vote. I don't know the reason, what stop you to have a try to get lifetime license. Let me know, if it really existence.

Leslie Milburn According to the registration email in the email I was sent it states:

"You must install/register the software within 12 months, and cannot do so afterwards. Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for 12 months"

So, if I register this in 11 months does the 12 months start from then. Or does it start from today regardless ?

Norman Wong @Leslie Milburn - Your idea is unique. No one has ever asked for it. But I think, standing in the user's point of view your idea is a certain reason. For the user, license starts from the promotion date seems to be somewhat unfair. But the infinite extension of the time to start is not fair to software vendor as well. I think we will add 2 additional months of use time as user registration retention time. We will try to do this in the next promotion. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Vole Media CHM output is Sanwhole Media CHM.

Sanwhole Media CHM is compatible with Microsoft standard CHM. Therefore, the default CHM reading software HH.EXE of Microsoft Windows system can directly open Sanwhole Media CHM.

What we call the Media CHM is because Sanwhole Media CHM displays content comparable to the HTML 5 website that Vole PageShare output.

Vole Media CHM does not require Vole PageShare to output Sanwhole Media CHM.

But Vole Media CHM many operations are identical to Vole PageShare. Therefore, you can see the same content in Vole PageShare. Vole Media CHM pages are no longer repeated.
