Petr Can this software auto-generate the content so it is available online at my web site? (not downloading, but viewing interactively)

Jan 18 2014 at 1:40am Copy Link

Norman Wong @ Petr -
Yes, you can. "VMC Discovery" can automatically find, preview and vote VMC Media lib in any web page. "VMC Discovery" can list VMC media lib on the bottom when you open the webpage. "VMC Discovery" is embedded in any Vole Products include Vole Media CHM, Vole Magic Note, Vole Windows Expedition...
See http://www.sanwhole.com/u...130905.jpg
You may do as below to see some VMC examples online.
1, Run Vole Media CHM
2,Expand the right panel name "VMC Discovery"
3,Click the left "Favorite" button, then select VIC menu item, then select “03 VMC Examples”
4, There are 5 preset VMC examples on the webpage. You can right click one and select "Browse" to View VMC online.
5, Click the "Web" icon and "VMC" icon to switch between webpage preview window and VMC preview window.

Rick Stone I've watched the video above, visited your site and watched other videos and unfortunately I'm *STILL* bewildered about exactly what this software actually does.

I'm intimately familiar with CHM format having used the RoboHelp software application for 20+ years. So I'm aware that one creates HTML pages and combines them with a Table of Contents file and Index file before compiling into a final CHM file.

Does this software simply open and is used as depicted in the video? What I'm seeing is what I might imagine the author would see. What appears to be missing is anything that shows that your software creates a specific output. Does it package all the content inside a CHM file that one would later distribute? If not, what exactly does the end user see after you have modified the content?

Thanks... Rick :)

Norman Wong @Rick Stone - You are a CHM expert, you better understand CHM. if CHM had multimedia features, that would be great! If editing CHM easily as edition MS Word, that would be great! and if MS Word had multimedia features, that would be great! MS Office Word and MS CHM can't do these for you, but Vole Media CHM can.
1, Vole Media CHM can create, edit and privew VMC Media Lib (.vmc).
2, Vole Media CHM can make VMC Media Lib via importing embedded templates, any MS Word and any MS CHM documents.
3, Vole Media CHM analyses imported documents, save user media resources and create internal link to create VMC Media Lib.
4, Users can preview VMC Media Lib using CHM style, modify VMC Media Lib using MS Word style and enjoy VMC Media Lib using Vole multimedia style.
5, Users may export the original MS Word or MS CHM document and media resources without any modification at any time.
6, Any Vole product especially Vole Windows Expedition and Vole Internet Expedition can preview VMC Media Lib in local disk or on any webpage.
7, Vole Media CHM is a platform and platform controller, can be applied to various fields. Vole Magic Note, Vole Word Reviewer, Vole CHM Reviewer and Vole Edutainment are just Vole Media CHM classic application examples.
To use all the software functions, you need to install MS Office 2002 or higher.

I registered for the giveaway of this PRO version, downloaded the setup from the link given in my email, ran the setup, chose repair installation and tried to input registration details via the "renew" option, but all boxes under the renew option would not accept any input. What have I done wrong? Please help..

Norman Wong @ Roc Assisi - Please go to http://www.sanwhole.com/renew.html and see "Prepare Before You Buy 1.2 Verify that the software can link to our registration server". If the software can't link to registration server, all the input box will be disable. You may check internet link firstly, if the internet link is OK, then close firewall when register. If all done but still doesn't work, try change registration server. We provide 2 registration servers, you can switch them via the top right toolbar button with a nation flag icon.

Brian De Bragança Despite my misgivings about any 'Vole' product, I downloaded this from the link given in the 'receipt' email which also included the serial key. Installed seemingly without problems but the executable launched from the desktop icon results in the main window opened but almost invisible on the desktop (as if a process within the application has set visibility at around 1 percent) and the process just hangs. I have to use Task Manager to kill the process. Can Norman or anyone solve this problem, please?

Windows 7 Home Premium x64-bit system running on an Intel Corei7-2600 CPU and a Samsung 840 EVO Series 500GB SSD drive with ESET Smart Security which, elevated, allows the executable to contact the update server.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot data! Just as you said, we found the program didn't finish the main screen initialize. Vole products support window docking, there are a lot of window docking work to do when start. It seems the software can't work at your computer now. We'll keep your license until the end of this Renew Code service duration. We hope solve this issue in the next release. You may try to reset your monitor setting from multi-screen setup to single-screen setup and try again. Any time the software can work on your computer, please let me know, we’ll arrangement your register again, Sorry for the inconvenience.

Where is this flag can change the server location on the upper right side. can't see it anywhere. why is it necessary to jump through so many hoops to register anything really. Chris Roy Jackson Thank You for your Prompt Reply...
If I understand correctly, you said that there are several Versions and that the HOME Version is CALLED the "Professional Version" and does NOT allow for Commercial Use, therefor would NOT be used to send a "finished file " to CLIENTS (CONTRARY to what the Description at the top of this page says "perfect for distribution to clients ...") !!!
Looking at the "Comparison Chart" that you referenced in your reply, I see your distinction between "Professional Version" and "Business Professional Version" !
I would like to suggest that... without the Comparison this is rather confusing to your customers. Perhaps you would consider renaming the "Professional Version" to "Home Pro Version" or something similar. Just a suggestion!

Eustace Phenackertiban Let me get this licensing thing straight. It says this is a one-year license. Does that mean that the software stops working after a year if not paid to renew? Or that upgrades are free for the first year, but the software continues to work after that time? In either case, how does this comport with this statement:

"About free upgrades for life. Sanwhole Vole Products support free upgrades for life no matter Free Edition or PRO Edition and no matter minim version upgrade or major version upgrade and no matter payment users or giveaway users."

What, specifically, does this "one year license" confer to us? Thank you.

Andy Phillips My impression is that the phrase "12 months license" has been added to the title of this offer since I made my comment. It's still not clear to me from Mr. Wong's response what happens to the functionality after the 12 months are up, despite following his link, but I consider my comment addressed nonetheless. Trialware is a perfectly respectable way to make a product available, provided that it is disclosed properly.

Michael R. What is the difference between VoleMediaCHM and VoleEduaintmentPro?
The description is quite similar...

Oct 7 2015 at 11:36am Copy Link

0

Norman Wong @Michael R. - Thank you for your question.
Vole Edutainment is amazing presentation software that can present a variety of local and online resources. Vole Media CHM is a MS Office Word based multimedia library that supports preview, review and digital sign.

Vole Edutainment is used for presentation, Vole Media CHM is used for creating and managing VMC media library including digital sign.

Vole Media CHM media library description file is based on Microsoft Office Word. Word is stunning (Online Word service is free now), can include text, font style, images etc. So VMC media library description is stunning.

Vole Media CHM has Word2CHM function can convert this Microsoft Word media library description file to CHM format. Any heading line in Office Word will be displayed as directory in CHM.

Vole Media CHM lets you link and preview local media and online resources on any heading line in the Word doc. So when you preview and click the heading line, the software will auto play the embedded media in built-in media player.

Vole Media CHM lets you create reviews on any heading line in the Word doc. Any more recently, and on any context in Word doc. So when you preview and click the heading line or context you will see your reviews.

Vole Media CHM lets one or more people to sign the library to protect the media library. The digital signed VMC media library can’t be changed via Vole Media CHM.

You can export the original description Word doc, converted CHM doc, linked local or online resources at any time without any modification.

So if you focus on Word plus Reviews, it is Vole Word Reviewer (see Vole Word Reviewer for more). If you focus on Word plus personal comments, it is a special writing tool (see website description for more). If you focus on collection or presentation, it is Vole Edutainment (see Vole Edutainment for more). If you focus on digital sign, it is a project documents control meets ISO 9000 requirements (see Vole PDCA for more).

Danny This can only integrate Microsoft Word or other Word software like TextMaker from SoftMaker?

Oct 8 2015 at 12:42am Copy Link

0

Norman Wong @Danny - The software only can convert Microsoft Office Word doc to CHM and displays the converted CHM doc in the software left directory window.

The software can link any documents and online resources into it.

Most linked resources can be previewed in the built-in media player such as images, audio, video, Text, RTF, PDF, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, websites, online media, YouTube video etc.

So Vole Media CHM can't convert other Word doc into CHM doc. Vole Media CHM can link other Word into single-file VMC Media Library. Vole Media CHM can't preview other Word doc in the built-in media player. Vole Media CHM can export other Word doc from the Media Library at any without any modification.

sharon austin Hi. I see this on the webpage: "Media CHM can integrate multimedia into CHM file and create single file VMC Media Library, let you create a multimedia based CHM help file. "
so before I buy I need to know----- is it viewable or exportable by any person, or do they and the user use only a program associated with this? in other words, in what format is the finished product used- viewed, sent, saved, etc. thank you.

Oct 8 2015 at 5:41am Copy Link

0

Norman Wong @sharon austin - Hi. The VMC Media Library file extension is .vmc.

Any Sanwhole Products support VMC Media Library (can view and export). For example VMC Media CHM can create and modify the library; VMC Reader is a free VMC Media Library reader; Vole Window Expedition is a file manger can preview local disk VMC Media Library; Vole Internet Expedition is a web browser can preview online VMC Media library...

When you publish VMC Media Library, you can set the library license. There are 6 licenses type for you. The default is "Publish Domain" means anyone can modify the library without password. If you set "Group Domain", you will set a password in the library. Anyone have the password can modify the library. "Free for all", "Free for personal", "Free for business" let anyone read the library but can modify it. If you set "Private" license, you can set the people's HID into the library, that means only the computer can open your library. You can click the "Advanced" menu and select HID command to get the computer's HID (Hardware ID).

Any I had tried to date, got sluggish when too many images were included.
Will that be a problem with your program ?
I purchased today's offering to experiment to see if it meets their needs.
If I feel I can recommend it to them, can the staff member download a fully functional trial, so she can see if she likes using it (creating their manuals) ?
Does the trial last say 30 days ?

I am off to walk to the Supermarket, so I will get back to here in an hour to see your responses.

Thanks,
Rob

Norman Wong @Robert Crombie - Sorry, the second link should be http://www.sanwhole.com/faq.html

You may install the installer one because the portable one can be install on USB disk but will run slower, it depends on your USB read and write speed.

Vole Media CHM has tree structure and each tree node can be link enough images. And you can add Office Word style description to the tree node, you can add reviews to the tree node. When you click the node, images, description, reviews will be display sync.

There is no quantity limitation to tree node. But there is a total 200 images limitation in each VMC for ultimate edition. This limitation can be changed on enterprise edition.

The software free edition have full function but the image limitation is 10. If you need special test copy, please let me know.

If you any other question, please contact me at: support@sanwhole.com.

And more, we issue the lifetime license in advance (generally 3~5 working days after this promotion). That means you can get the lifetime license in advance even you don't get any like vote. I don't know the reason, what stop you to have a try to get lifetime license. Let me know, if it really existence.

Norman Wong @Leslie Milburn - Your idea is unique. No one has ever asked for it. But I think, standing in the user's point of view your idea is a certain reason. For the user, license starts from the promotion date seems to be somewhat unfair. But the infinite extension of the time to start is not fair to software vendor as well. I think we will add 2 additional months of use time as user registration retention time. We will try to do this in the next promotion. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Norman Wong Hi. The installer in BDJ has not been updated yet. Please go https://sanwhole.com/iExc...28f970f8ba to download the latest Vole Media CHM. I'm sorry for this. It will be fixed ASAP.

Serious Noize I was wondering, I already have Vole Page Share Pro, do I still need this? Or that is does this offer more or less than Vole Page Share Pro?

Thanks for the opportunity.

Norman Wong @Serious Noize - Of course, you still need Vole Media CHM. Because Vole PageShare only exports website. Vole Media CHM only exports CHM.

Loyal Customer I'm a bit confused ... Not sure if this is a stand-alone or if it requires the other 2 products for full functionality.

Do I need all 3 products to do the job? What is the difference between 1 and 3?

1- Vole Media CHM,
2- Vole PageShare
3- Sanwhole media CHM

Norman Wong @ Loyal Customer - Hi.

Vole Media CHM output is Sanwhole Media CHM.

Sanwhole Media CHM is compatible with Microsoft standard CHM. Therefore, the default CHM reading software HH.EXE of Microsoft Windows system can directly open Sanwhole Media CHM.

What we call the Media CHM is because Sanwhole Media CHM displays content comparable to the HTML 5 website that Vole PageShare output.

Vole Media CHM does not require Vole PageShare to output Sanwhole Media CHM.

But Vole Media CHM many operations are identical to Vole PageShare. Therefore, you can see the same content in Vole PageShare. Vole Media CHM pages are no longer repeated.

Jackie Kerouac The name of the software should be: Vole Media CHM Ultimate Edition
But once I click the download button, I access the "Sanwhole Products Download Center" where I cannot find the above download.

The only offer is for Sanwhole Studio.

Where can I download the Vole Media CHM Ultimate Edition?

Thanks!

CFGuy I second @Jackie Kerouac's confusion. What program do we download? Sanwhole Studio, Vole Internet Expedition (Freeware), Vole Windows Expedition (Freeware) or Vole Office (Freeware)? Please set us know. Thanks. -Cfguy

Jackie Kerouac I'm still waiting for them. No news so far! I've tried to install in my Virtual box, and installing the Studio (only possible download on their website). It installs correctly, but it doesn't load the main page! Odd! Nowhere can I input the registration number I received.

SANWHOLE... anyone there?!

CFGuy Update - I was able to download and install the program (and required additional programs needed for the program to run); however I am now stuck at the "Sanwhole Register" page. The first thing that it asks for is "Purchase Code (need purchase code to register)", and when I try entering in the "registration" code that was emailed to me by BitsDuJour and then click the "Code Valid Check" button, it will not validate the registration code, and thus will not allow me to enter the rest of my registration information such as name, email address, password, etc. What should I try next? Please advise. Thank you. -Cfguy.

Jackie Kerouac CFGuy: What program did you install? Vole Media CHM Professional Edition or Vole Studio. Can you share the download link for the CHM app?

Constantin Florea I am sorry about the confusion, the giveaway license on promoting today is "Vole Media CHM Ultimate Edition LTUD".

Here are the instructions the vendor sent us for this giveaway:
"
How to download, install and activate: Please visit page https://sanwhole.com/Prod...leMediaCHM and see “How to activate using giveaway redeem code?”. Please note the installer name is SanwholeStudio.
"

Jackie Kerouac Got it! I managed to open it and to redeem my code (which was the license number sent by email). However, the app crashed when I tried to click on "Activate" for my PC. Nothing is perfect! I'll play with it in the next few days to see if it's really useful. Thanks for the offer.

Jim Hilton I cannot register on your site at page:

http://www.sanwhole.com/A...a=Register

Why?

Insecure password warning in Firefox

If a login page you're viewing does not have a secure connection, Firefox will display a lock icon with a red strike-through Fx89Padlock-RedLine in the address bar. If you enter a password on such a page, eavesdroppers or attackers could steal it.

You will also see a warning message when you click inside the login box to enter a username or password.

Seriously?

So save me the aggravation of fighting with your site and please explain to me why I cannot install Exchange iMail Server Business Ultimate Edition LTUD 95% off ($28.80) on a Windows 2008 R2 machine.

Thanks

Norman Wong @Jim Hilton, Hello.

Use https to register, don't use http.

Giveaway license does not need and cannot be registered. Purchased license can and must be registered. See REGISTER in Agreement here: http://sanwhole.com/Home/Agreement

iMail does not support the system you mentioned. See Pre-requirements in software home page here: http://sanwhole.com/Products/iMail
