Looking forward to get an upgrade.

B Barnabe WeBuilder 2010 looks to be quite the program for web development! Two questions:

1) If purchased here, is this the license one gets for the program?

"For general use by professional developers, companies and government organizations.
Install and use the software 1) at work, 2) on a laptop and 3) at home."

2) Does this purchase qualify for the "Free Bonus License" mentioned on the blumentals.net site or is that included as part of the "1) at work 2) on a laptop and 3) at home"?

Looking forward to the developer's reply.

Hazen Hoffpauir I too would like to know is this is the license that we'd be purchasing here:

"For general use by professional developers, companies and government organizations.
Install and use the software 1) at work, 2) on a laptop and 3) at home."

Waiting for Karlis reply...Thanks.

Karlis Blumentals To B Barnabe:

1) Yes, it is full commercial license.

2) Yes, free bonus license offer applies as long as you comply with the limitations. Free Bonus License allows you to use the product on one additional PC or one additional Laptop regardless of the number of licenses you have purchased. Offer does not apply to upgrades, bonus license can not be sold or transferred to other parties. Each customer is eligible only for one bonus license (one additional seat).

Karlis Blumentals Everybody should have received their keys by now. Sometimes there is a slight delay of up to an hour depending on the performance of e-mail delivery systems. Sometimes the key gets caught in the spam folder. In any case on our support web page there is an automated "re-send key" form that you can use 24/7.

Also, while we are very busy, our support response time is 24 - 48 hours strictly, so in case of any problem please do not hesitate to contact us via our support pages.

Robert Reese This has the same drastic DRM as your Rapid CSS software. Still no sale, especially when you require internet activation and hardward identification - too easy for things to go awry and the customer is left unable to install or use the software. Further, how do we know what kind of data is being sent from our computer to your server?

Gatis Avots Hi,

=Still no sale, especially when you require internet activation and hardward identification
Actually you can use the product if you do not have internet connection. Only when (and if) the internet connection will be available, your installation will be logged to our server.

=too easy for things to go awry and the customer is left unable to install or use the software
This is not true. You will be able to use the product in any case.

=Further, how do we know what kind of data is being sent from our computer to your server?
I guess you can not, unless you have good knowledge in IP packet tracking from your computer. There are tools that can do that. Also, if you contact us at our support email address, I will share any specific details you might want to know and are worried about.

In the end, if you are honest user, you do not need to worry about the license activation.

Kind regards,
Gatis Avots

Jason Howard What upgrade options will there be for purchasers of WeBuilder 2010 considering that 2011 may be released any time in the near future? (WeBuilder 2011 Beta 3 is currently available for testing).

Is it going to be more cost effective for people to just wait for WeBuilder 2011 and purchase it outright?
May 22 2011 at 7:29pm Copy Link

Gatis Avots Hello Jason,

Everybody who will purchase version 2010 now, will receive also a free upgrade to version 2011.
It will be more cost effective if you purchase now. You can then start using the product now, and have the free upgrade to version 2011. Or you can wait for version 2011 and then wait when we possibly offer the product for this great discount again.

Kind regards,
Gatis Avots

Gatis Avots Hello Roberto,

= honest users dislike this kind of drm too.
I doubt this.

We are not the only ones who apply such policy. If you go to Wikipedia, then you will learn that "companies such as Sony, Amazon, Apple Inc., Microsoft, AOL and the BBC use the power of digital rights management".

Sorry, but as far as I know, we are not going to change our policy any time soon.

Kind regards,

P Davis I too prefer a license model which allows me to move between machines and freely use your app. It is a pain to uninstall an app just to install on another system. Who has time for that? Please reconsider your policy.

D Dinosaur DRM or no DRM, this is one of the absolutely best tools for web dev. Well worth the ordinary list price. This is worth every penny.

Jason Howard I think the policy shown above:

"Product may be used indefinitely after purchase. Licensed per computer for concurrent use, allowing transfer of a license to another owned computer. Online license activation is required with a hardware footprint, and unlimited installations per footprint. Free upgrades for minor versions, paid upgrade with discounts to future versions for all purchasers. Support to next major version. 30 days return policy."

is only a boilerplate - having it pointed out (by Gatis Avots) that you can install the software on home, laptop, and work computers - perhaps the "Policy" should be rewritten to more closely reflect the Blumentals policy.

Diana Johns Activation doesn't bother me--it's a good product and I'm tired of subsidizing pirates. Any time I've change hardware significantly in the past I've had no problem moving an installation to a new system with a call to customer service (e.g. Microsoft, Symantec). I'd rather make an occasional phone call and save the $$$. Thanks, Blumentals!

I recently purchased HTMLPad but didn't want to spend the extra money for Rapid CSS and the SQL capabilities, very glad to see this great offer on Bits du Jour. I loved HomeSite but expect to be migrating to Windows 7 during the next year or so, HTMLPad is very similarly capable and intuitive compared to HomeSite.

Thanks for making this great price available. Looking forward to using the extra capabilities of WeBuilder.

Karlis Blumentals This is Professional version. We do not plan any major upgrades before spring/summer 2012. There should be a few regular updates. 6-month upgrade guarantee is already included with any purchase. 3-year upgrade package is something that is not available via this offer but this is still a very very good deal.

HJ B I think it is fair to say that this product is not for the casual website builder. The product assumes substantial knowledge on the part of the user, even in making various decisions while installing it. As far as I can tell, it is not a "what you see is what you get" application with the option of looking at or tweaking the code.

The product description includes the following statement: "WeBuilder 2011 offers templates and code snippets that enable even beginning web coders to get up and running and [in] minutes . . . " That appears to be a substantial exaggeration, when viewed from the perspective of a neophyte.

This is the kind of product for which the first step of installation ought be display of a pdf that describes what the installation process decisions are and that gives a better sense of the level of expertise necessary to effectively use the program for the at least the most basic capabilities.
Oct 27 2011 at 7:54am Copy Link
0
Roger Thomasson @ HJ B

By "beginning web coders" we mean exactly that -- customers who are interested in approaching web design and development at the code level, regardless of experience. WeBuilder doesn't claim to be a drag-and-drop, Dreamweaver-style WYSIWYG HTML editor, which is why we do not describe it as such.

BitsDuJour Admin - Oct 27 2011 at 8:34am Copy Link
1
Karlis Blumentals Rael - no Javascript debugger, but it has PHP debugger

Justine - Regular price is $69.85, this is NOT personal and NOT upgrade, this is full new license

HJ - this product is either for professional developers or beginning web *developers* or *coders*. It is not intended for those regular guys who do not know and do not want to know what HTML and website code is. Those people who create auto-generated standardized websites by drag and drop without writing code can not be called developers or coders. This is for professionals or those who want to become professionals by learning how to code.

G W Well worth it., I paid the full price a while back and still think it was worth it. Don;t worry too much about the year label, 2012 will probably not be out for at least 6 to 9 months if the past has anything to go by, though a cheap upgrade will be on offer so again worth it.

Kimmo Lahtinen I tested weBuilder very shortly while doing other things and I noticed a little "problem" if I used umlauts (like ä and ö) in html document. This happened if I used the preview (F2) without saving the file first with UTF-8. If I first saved the file with UTF-8 everything was OK.

I am little confused with the one or more computers situation. I think your web-page tells that I could use the program with desktop and laptop, but this site tells about 1 computer only.

Karlis Blumentals Gonzo:

I do not have any estimates on version 2012, I can only tell you that we are doing a major overhaul and we do not expect a new release before mid-autumn.

We have a 6-month free-upgrades period, but as I do not have any release estimates for version 2012, I can not promise anything.

There is no limit on how many times you can re-install the software on the same computer, but if you install it on two *different* computers every month (e.g. if you change your computers every two months), you will have to contact us to authorize this.

There is a special procedure to put WeBuilder on flash-drive, so, yes, there is a portable version.

Kimmo:

There should be no problems if you save your file as UTF-8 and use UTF-8 also as your default encoding.

You are allowed to use the software on two computers and one laptop, regardless of what it says here. (must be an error)

My Name Here:

Depends on what you mean by "interact". You can set up WeBuilder to run preview through your webserver to preview any type of server side script in action or to use built-in web server for preview (build-in web server supports only PHP).

Other than that there is no special support for server-side interaction, this is a code editor and not visual-drag-and-drop-ide.

Steven Avery Hi Folks,

I actually have WeBuilder 2010, from Bits, which I have not yet really used the way I plan. (My bad, not yours, I just checked with my new XP OS clean image reinstall that I have the serial# and the earlier file to install. )

Are there any essentials in 2011 that I will go "yoiks, I should have taken the special" .. or should I just get up to speed on 2010 and then wait for the next Bits in a year or so, a double upgrade ?

Granted this is my decision, not yours, but if you have some input .. I am all ears. Would the 2010-2011 upgrade be the same $ as this 2011 purchase ?

Thanks.

Karlis Blumentals Ok, so there is an updated info about the next major version. WeBuilder 2014 is expected to become available in the first quarter of 2013 (thus the 2014 version code) which pretty much means that those who use this promo, get a free upgrade to 2014 (cannot guarantee yet, but everything looks so). Version 2014 should be a huge release as we are working to update any outdated aspect of the software as well as add new features.

Matt Hi Karlis.

I think many of us who purchased WebBuilder 2011 on your last sale (April 3, 2012) were anticipating a free upgrade to version 2012... hoping it would release before the 6-month upgrade/update policy expired.

Since now you are skipping version 2012 and going directly to version 2014, I'm guessing those who purchased WebBuilder on your last sale have no hope for the free upgrade to 2014. Is that correct?

I guess there is a big psychological factor in naming software with the year in its title. It just seems like when you are purchasing a '2011' software in 2012, you are buying 'old' software. I think as I mentioned above that many of us may have hoped for a 'free' upgrade to 2012 are a little disappointed that 2012 won't be released.

Is there any chance we, who purchased WebBuilder 2011 in April can also be included in the free upgrade to 2014?

Thank you.

Karlis Blumentals You should never focus on version numbers, just focus on the software whether it works for you and whether you like it or need it now. Updates are and have ever been free of charge, we have always fixed all critical issues and added plenty of minor features for free.

I do confirm and do not hide that we charge for upGRades - major new releases that happen once every 1 to 3 years. Similarly as it is with hardware, it costs to develop new releases of software as well. If you buy iPhone 4, sure manufacturing faults will be fixed free of charge, but you would not expect to get an iPhone 5 for free, would you? Same applies to operating systems and other software. There are engineers working to create every new product and and it costs money - otherwise they would not do it. What is more, you always have a choice to stick to the current version, upgrades are not mandatory. Of course, we could change the model and make monthly or annual fee but then you would end up paying much more and having no choice to stick to older version.

As for the WeBuilder 2011 - in order to make it better and faster, we had to move it to another development environment and that actually turned out to be a year-worth of task alone not to mention any new features. Of course, we could release something now, but it would be an incomplete and disappointing release and that is something we just won't do. The new version must be modern and much better and we are taking our time to make it so. I am sorry to disappoint James and a few others who hoped to get a double-bonus (both 70% discount and free upgrade on top of that), but the new release will be ready when it is good enough. Look at it this way - when it comes - it will be 3 times worth of a regular upgrade (usually we spent only one year per upgrade).

Matt Well isn't that what you are promising now to today's customers?

A double-bonus?

I just feel that we (purchasers on April 3rd) were led on.

Think about it. Whenever you made the conscious decision in your mind to stop developing WB2011, everyone who made the purchase in April lost out. You are putting your developing efforts into a future version that we can't benefit from.

So those who purchased in April, purchased an 'end-of-the-road' version.

Well, it's your call. You're your own boss.

A double-bonus - " double-bonus (both 70% discount and free upgrade on top of that" for today's purchasers.

And... an obsolete software for the April Fools' Sale.

It just doesn't make for happy customers.

Thank you.

Roberto come on, this is really cheap software if you are in the website development arena. I know we are in a worldwide crisis.. but 20 bucks is a mcdonalds meal.

we should go to complaint about photoshop prices and their fixed 18 month upgrade$ :-)

any simple template at wordpress.com goes to 68$ already... this is not a massive angry birds for sale at 99 cent. If bluementals does not charge by major upgrades they will be "hungry" birds.

I want they continue developing, software does not grow in the field alone, they have to pay licenses to develop too.

Roger Thomasson @ James

Karlis and BDJ have been very clear on this point -- major upgrades for WeBuilder are not free. This information is readily available in the policy section and always has been.

If you'd like to further discuss the benefits of a lifetime upgrade scheme over a paid upgrade scheme, feel free to do so over at the forum, but please keep this thread clear for customers with questions or concerns directly related to product functionality:

I bought WeBuilder 2010 on Bits on 5-6-2010 Order# 6937194 and have not used it (my bad, not Webuilder)

The link in the email on tries to load 2011. Can you tell me if my 2010 license will work on 2011 ? Or should I look around for the 2010 version ?

Also, will my upgrade be more or less than the current Bits ?

Thanks.

Steven Avery Hi,

C'mon Roger (and/or Nico). More censorship ? What is going on with BIts ?There was an interesting comment from a poster that thought that Blumental was snarky.

I didn't pay it a lot of heed (I'm waiting for my own response from them) ... but this continual censorship thing is really bringing Bits down.

You are losing your most sincere and dedicated posters and buyers. Read the thread on Donationcoder where we asked you to comment as to this new policy.

Mike B I just want to verify that the BDJ offer is for the normal WeBuilder license (which the regular price is $79.95) and that it is licensed for 3 installations as indicated on the http://www.webuilderapp.com/buy.php webpage:

---------------------------
Install and use 1) at work, 2) on a laptop or USB drive, 3) at home.

The BDJ "Fine Print" tab doesn't mention this; it only indicataes that the software is licensed "per computer. not per user".

I already had a license for RapidPHP but appreciate being able to scale/transfer do asp/python in Webuilder. Thanks @ BDJ and Blumentals for making/extending this deal :)

Our largest and the most challenging release ever.
Up to date with modern standards - HTML5, CSS3, Web 2.0 philosophy.
Address all the issues and the best of suggestions from our customers accumulated over the past 5 years.

Vanessa N This deal is coming up soon and I have a question for people who own the older versions. I have the 2010 and 2011 licenses. If I go to the website, the upgrade price is $39.95 with 6 month upgrade protection. The price is 79.95 for 3 year upgrade protection (essentially full price of the regular software, which I'm not sure how long of an upgrade protection the regular price comes with).

Can you clarify which is the better deal in this case? Not sure how much upgrade protection the Bits deal has.

I have 600 programs on my PC and this is definitely among the 10 best.

Generally, from a user perspective is the constant problem with
internet activation, making it hard to migrate to a new PC
This protection level is something that BitDuJour should indicate
with a symbol on each program offer.

Also here WeBuilder belongs to top class - I have never seen a screen
saying that it is not activated. Reason enough to buy every new upgrade.

ron r I got an email from the webuilder developer (a few monts ago?) that the new major version is coming up (or far in it's end stage?).
My questions:

1)
Do buyers of this version get the next major upgrade free?

2)
Does it still have the portable creation option (Create portable version of webuilder)?

3)
Will there be an option to buy the 3 year upgrade with it. In the past there was an option for an extra payment which gave the user the 3 year upgrade, which meant that any major version within that 3 year, came free.

This program was my number one stop when it comes to PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. I haven't used it quite as much now, but I can highly recommend this tool (if it's still got it's portable creation option).

Karlis Blumentals WeBuilder can be both activated and deactivated, so you can move it around as long as you remember to deactivate. Besides the license includes 3 installs and necessary extra re-installs, so there should be no problems with activation.

Ron:
1) 6-month upgrade protection is included and I believe we will manage to release the next major version within these 6 months;
2) Yes, you can install it as portable version on removable drive;
3) 3-year option is available only when buying directly.

Lupke Brother I have an older Webuilder 2014 version. If I upgrade through your website I have two options: 6 months upgrade protection and 3 years upgrade protection.

The fine print for this deal does not say how long we get minor updates for Webuilder 2015. It might be cheaper for me just to buy a new license.

Mike B @Lupke:

According to their support forum, Webuilder 2015 was released in December 2014.

You can see a history of other releases, and it looks like the past history of the schedule is every 1-2 years for a major release.

So I'd guess that 6 months upgrade protection wouldn't be used, and 3 year upgrade protect you likely get the next major release, maybe two, but quite possibly only one.

Karlis Blumentals I agree, cross upgrade might not be a good deal in your situation. However this is still cheaper than buying a new license and there are currently no other cross-upgrade options available as the cost of maintenance of such cross upgrade order pages for tiny amounts would be higher than profits, so it makes no sense to offer such option.

The most sensible way to cross-upgrade for anybody is to wait the next new release and to cross-upgrade then. E.g. from Rapid PHP 2014 to WeBuilder 2015.

I do own and use WeBuilder, just don't like having to explain to clients who ask me why I am using outdated software when they look over my shoulder at their workplaces. Hope Blumentals considers changing this soon.

Lupke Brother @Blumentals

And what about people who want to UPGRADE their WeBuilder 2016 Personal version to 2018 instead of buying the full commercial version? Or in other words, I don't need the full commercial version, but want to buy the Personal version, even if it 's a new license.

And there is a difference in buying on your website for people who want to UPGRADE. There is a regular upgrade with 6 months upgrade protection plan and a extended with 3 year upgrade protection plan. No discounts or other deals here?

HJ B As noted by another comment, this purports to be a download of Webuilder 2018. but the text description says Webuilder 2016.

I went to the website to see what version is shown there. I am further confused because the website refers to Webuilder "Version 15.5".

There is a link to "What's new in version 2018?" https://www.webuilderapp....ew2018.php

There does not appear to be a pdf manual. The only instructions appear to be online.

Constantin Florea Apologies about the mention of "2016" present in the promotion page description. It should have been "2018", I just changed it. The correct version (2018) was and is mentioned correctly in the shopping cart.

Tim Parsons It's not clear which version this is, even on the purchase page. Presume Personal, as the price is similar to the upgrade price for this version. I'd do it, probably, if it was a little cheaper but I haven't even used 2016 enough to justify the purchase price let alone the upgrade cost. For the personal version, I'm not sure the price is worth it.

It should be the commercial edition, which is referred to without any additional identifying text based on the WeBuilder Buy page. That page shows the Personal edition is $59.95, and the one that can be used for commercial use is $89.95, which matches the above price on BdJ.

In past BdJ offerings of WeBuilder, it has been clarified as the one that can be used for commercial.

Gary Smith From the website support section, updates and upgrades, "What is Upgrade Protection?"
Upgrade Protection ensures free upgrades to the next major versions.

However, there is no mention on the Buy Now page regarding Upgrade Protection. So, how does one get it, and how much is it?

R Master I keep getting Comodo warnings whenever going to Blumentals.net - states malware warning. Anyone else getting this?

Also, this should be the commercial version, since the $89.98 price at 60% off is the Bits price - Commercial version allows 3 installations- work, laptop/usb and home. This is another naming problem. Get rid of the year naming and make the commercial version distinct- like "Pro" or something. Anyway, Bits has 30 days to return!

Karlis Blumentals Please let me clarify a few details.

We hope to release version 2020 within 3 months time which means everybody who purchases this one will get a free upgrade, so you're covered.

The version on promo here is full commercial version (personal edition always has "Personal" attached to it). So even if you needed Personal version or an upgrade, the one on sale is still a great deal to go for instead.

Promo applies to new, full commercial version.

---

R Master, sorry for the naming. For now we have not yet come up with a better style, something to think about. Anyways you will have 2020 soon.

Lupke Brother, this particular promo is for full commercial version (no upgrades, no 3-year service plans).

Karlis Blumentals R Master - you should report a bug in Comodo or at least contact our support with a screenshot so that we can contact them, this type of misbehavior by their product harms us greatly.

Kat D I'm new to building websites. Am currently building one with Wordpress, but would like to add bits of css, html and javascript (which I need to learn) to add some more functionality. Would this app help in writing those snippets? Does it let you know about things like forgotten closing brackets, etc? Or is this app for more experienced coders?

Karlis Blumentals Kat D,

WeBuilder is great for learning, it has bracket matching, auto-complete for CSS and some validation features that make life easier, but it will not write the code for you. So it is up to you. You are welcome to try the trial version for a few minutes or hours, might help to decide.

Taken from the 'Fine Print':

"Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for minor versions only. For versions after that, upgrades will require additional payment, which will be discounted."

Taken from your comment above:

"We hope to release version 2020 within 3 months time which means everybody who purchases this one will get a free upgrade, so you're covered."

I'm assuming version 2020 will be a major upgrade so the two statements are slightly contradictory. Which one is correct?

Thanks

Robert User I first purchased WeBuilder 2014 when the developer (Karl Blumentals) offered a free upgrade to the 2015 version.

I like the feature of having a search box that allows multiple lines. Only a few editors offer this feature, such as EmEditor, EditPlus, EditPad Pro, and there is a plugin for Notepad++ to have the same capability.

One other nice feature of WeBuilder is the search in files on disk (files not open in the program). Also, only a few editors offer this feature. EmEditor and EditPlus have this feature, and there must be others I am not aware of.

I have a lot of files in some projects I work on, so I need a search utility (with replace capability) that can identify a "Whole Word." Regular search utilities (including the one I use) can find all the places the search text is located, but they do not eliminate places where the searched on text is merely part of a longer word. For example, if I want to locate "Builder" as a whole word, I am not interested in places that have "WeBuilder" instead. This program (WeBuilder) claims that it can do a search through many files on disk and isolate the Whole Word ones I want to locate, but the problem is that the program would crash if there were a lot of files to search through. Therefore, I would have to choose a subfolder deep enough that the number of files under that level was agreeable to WeBuilder. With a lot of files to search in, selecting some arbitrary subfolder is just a partial solution. It is hard to keep track of which subfolders have been searched. Ideally, I should be able to start at any single folder and be able to search ALL files under that folder and its subfolder's files.

When the WeBuilder 2015 version came out, I did the free upgrade, but it too would crash if there were a lot of files to search through.

I build up a lot of crashes, but due to the security aspects of what is reported to the developer, I could not submit the program crashes. A lot of my work is on files that are for others, and they do not want me to share what they provide (to me) to any outside source. The error logging feature containing the items to report includes lots of items I cannot share, even with the developer. Also, the program depends on having an e-mail client installed on the computer, but where I use the program, it does not have an e-mail client. Regardless, I was able to let the developer know of the issue.

I have tried every search and replace utility I can find. All of the search utilities can handle any number of folders and subfolders from the starting folder. Only one program offered a "whole word" find choice, however, it was so slow that I had to give up on it as a possible solution (plus it had other problems).

My regular "search and replace utility" is extremely fast. It could not isolate the "whole word" items, but by careful choice of the search term, I can usually come up with some search text that accomplishes the same thing. The search and Replace Utility ended up being a far better solution than WeBuilder. As a result, eventually, my WeBuilder 2014/2015 license ran out, and I chose to not renew the program. WeBuilder had failed to do what it had promised.

When the 2016 version came out, I downloaded the trial just to see if the issue had been resolved. It still had not.

Then, in September 2019, the 2018 version was being offered here on Bitsdujour. I was interested but could not justify the risk (if the problem still existed). Initially, there was no offer to get a free upgrade to 2020, but finally, the developer added the offer of a free upgrade to the 2020 version (the same version offered today). At that point, I decided to re-purchase WeBuilder. After all, there had been several other changes and enhancements made to the program. I was anxious to see that the program could finally handle many folders the same as all the other search utilities could do.

But, yes, it still failed. After several crashes, I gave up, and waited for the 2020 version to be released. I looked at the Support pages, and the user self-help forum. WeBuilder is grouped together with HTMLPad, Rapid CSS editor, and Rapid PHP editor. That section of the forum has 2,446 topics on 49 webpages. To go through all (even using their search) is tedious. The forum is mainly used to help users when they are having trouble installing or some issue on how to use the software. Separating the bug reporting from the "help" issues is more than I have time for.

When the WeBuilder 2020 version was released, I installed it, but instead of getting to see whether the problem had been resolved, the program failed to even start. Since the 2018 version was no longer installed, I didn't even have anything to fall back on, so I am letting the program sit for a while. I am waiting for an update or when I finish building another computer to install whatever version is available then. Hopefully, this problem will be resolved soon (at least within the 202 version timeframe). I hate having purchased the program twice and still never get to use it for what it claims to do.

One final thing is that WeBuilder requires more resources than my other editors. My Intel i7 6700K at 4k with 16 G RAM slows down to the point that even if the program could handle any number of files, I would still be searching for a program that could do the job without slowing down the system.

PJ Software Buyer The main feature that sets WeBuilder apart from the competition is the built-in FTP. It's smooth and fast and just works.

BackuPs @marc User. Do you throw away money if you could have avoided it? The website at Blumentals offers less discount on upgrade then they do here. That is sour if you just bought the upgrade. If you feel otherwise then donate whatever you can to others in need as that is what i could have done with the money spend extra on the upgrade. It would have served a better purpose.
