Nelson Therrien I don't really understand the offer here... I already have the lifetime pro plan (I guess that's the VPS you're referring to here)... but what about that 50GB plan? Is it something apart from it? I don't see it on the web site... Should I still take it? I wouldn't want to take something that would change my Pro lifetime subscription...

Yegor 50GB is reset every 30 days. This offer is good for the lifetime of the account.

Allan Fibecker It's an amputated version - just for information. However, it works just fine with the limitations to select "countries". USA, Canada, Germany, France, Luxemburg, Netherlands and Hong Kong is available. The rest is blocked : /

Owner Owner @ Constantin Florea, could you please resend the BitsDuJour receipt email again? About 2 hrs already and I have yet to received it.

Have actually created another BDJ account, but did not receive any receipt email for that account either (and no, none was in the junk/spam folder). Thank you.

Brain Errupt not so great news the company has chosen to undercut all the customers who paid full bang for a lifetime pro subscription. This is probably done because they have not seen the growth they were wanting. This company has made several changes to its service since I paid full price for the lifetime pro subscription and they definitely haven't been for the benefit of the end user. I have requested a refund several times to get another excuse every time.

Eustace Phenackertiban What, exactly, is the duration of this offer? Above it says, "50GB is reset every 30 days. This offer is good for the lifetime of the account." What is the "lifetime of the account?" 30 Days? Forever? A year? Please be specific.

And what is the difference between this plan and the VPN Unlimited Pro (20 months) plan? What does that "20 months" mean? What does "unlimited" meean with respect to the 50 GB plan? What limits are there?

Thank you.

Brain Errupt I love how my first post was erased rather than provide context for others who may be duped by this company. To offer a free plan of 50GB which is more than most with use in a 30 day period as compared to the "Lifetime" pro plan which is basically the same thing aside from the cost to users.

BeehindBlueyes I am having problems with this program. I filled out everything that needed to be filled out. I rec'd the confirmation email. I clicked on the link and created an account and confirmed the email. I clicked on the download button and it started downloading. Then it started extracting the files but it would not complete that task. It just kept "extracting". Then my brand new Lenovo Ideapad Flex froze!
I couldn't even restart it. I had to power it off. When I turned it back on, the program didn't even download! No wonder it couldn't extract any files.

Yegor @Brain Errupt - This is not the same as our paid Lifetime account, as that one has unlimited data, and unlimited devices and access to all server locations, not just the 8 free ones.

Gary Smith This offer could be better promoted, but the seller does not seem to really care about potential customer questions enough to give a decent answer. Nelson Therrin asked a direct question, but it was not answered directly, or clearly, and even caused another question by Eustace Phenackertiban, and that question seems to have been ignored thus far.

Yegor's response to Brain Erupt states "This is not the same as our paid Lifetime account" but we can only assume the "this" he refers to pertains to the 50 GB, not the $17 offer for 20 months. If I understand it correctly, the $17 offer is for the Unlimited Pro plan for 20 months, but I cannot find anything on a "Lifetime" account at the seller's website. Therefore, it is not clear what "lifetime" means in the "lifetime of the account" answer. A Google search for "Winscribe Lifetime" does show that other websites are offering a Lifetime option at $49, and in September, you could get a lifetime option for $34.99 to 39.99.

Regardless of the missing answers and no Lifetime offer here, I will take a stab at explaining what I think is being offered.

Since the product is allowing access to data (the Internet), and not storage, the 50 GB is an amount of bandwidth, and is an amount of data you can use each month. If it is used up before the end of the month, there is no more usage allowed until the next month starts. If only a portion of the 50 GB is used at the end of the month, the amount remaining is not carried over to the next month (not added to the starting 50GB); instead, you start with 50 GB maximum again each month.

The company has a free plan that comes with 10 GB each month, and it is limited to one device only, and you can access through only 8 countries. That plan has limited downloading, which has to be the 10 GB. Since the offer here is for 50 GB, and free, I interpret that it is an opportunity to have essentially the same as the regular free plan but with 50 GB per month (but still one device). It is not clear whether that 50GB plan would ever end in the future. From what I can tell, it does not end; once in at 50 GB/month, you should be in for good, as long as you do not breech their Terms of Service, which is to ensure users do not attempt to bypass free tier limitations (as a main proponent of the terms).

If you are already a customer of the Pro plan, you already have more than 50GB/month of downloading, so it would not help to go for the free 50GB plan.

If you go with the paid plan for $17, you are getting their Pro Unlimited downloading plan, which also allows you to use an unlimited number of devices (desktop, laptop, phone, tablet, etc.), and they have servers in over 40 countries. This seems to be a pretty good bargain, except the claimed retail price is calculated falsely, in an attempt to make the offer seem like it is a greater discount than it really is.

When the Bitsdujour Buy Now button is clicked, the price for the Pro version shows that the regular price is $180 for 20 months ($9/mo). That cannot be the correct way to calculate the full price.

At the seller's website, the Pro unlimited plan can be purchased monthly or paid for in advance (then billed annually). Monthly, it is normally $9.00/mo, and if billed annually (paid in advance), it is reduced to $7.50/month. Therefore, paid in advance for 20 months should at least be calculated based on the $7.50/month price, not the $9/mo, especially since the buyer is paying for 8 months more than a year. If you were paying full price at the seller's website for 20 months in advance, you shouldn't have to pay more than $150, not the $180 claimed full price.

Regardless in the discrepancy in how it is advertised, compared to the more fair full price ($150/20mo), the $17 does not sound too bad, ... as long as the product can perform adequately. This is a volatile market, and the players can and do change. This may be an attempt to raise some cash before going out of business, or, hopefully, it is a nice end-of-the-year gift to us (to get some cash flow for themselves, because this is the time of year when the public has already spent most of their own monthly budget). I have found that the end of the year is the best time to take advantage of data services for this very reason, whether it be hosting or services such as this offer.

Brain Errupt in my mind the total amount of bandwidth allowed monthly takes a backseat to download speeds and servers available. I have complained numerous time about both directly to the company with no positive response. Most people who truly understand VPNs are using them only when they are doing something where they want to hide their activity like bittorrenting. We as pro or free users of this service have already been limited to very few server choices when conducting these actions. When I complained about this arbitrary change after I had paid for the lifetime pro service I was told it was out of their hands.

If you understand VPNs you also know that the further the server is from your physical locality you speeds are greatly diminished. When the company made the change to their service to limit the number of servers which allowed torrenting they directly affected the already slow speeds I was experiencing. This too was past off as out of their control.

Allan Fibecker There is no activation code. Just sign in to Windscribe from the link, you receive. I used a g-mail account, and 50 GB/month - limited to 8 (eight) servers. To be homest, I consider this as a generous offer - thanks a lot.
