Scott Van Leeuwen I purchased version 6.0 of this software and received an email to update to 6.1 as it was much faster. Since owning the software my DVD conversion in MP4 are so slow. I am talking 2 hours to convert a DVD 20 minute episode of The Osbournes. To be fair I have emailed the software company and have yet to hear back except one email asked if I was using version 6.1 which I am. Can I suggest you download the trial version first before purchasing and make sure it converts at the high speed it is supposed to.

DrTeeth I tried the free version that was offered here (v5.1) a short time ago. It would not recognise all the episodes on an older DVD.

Paul User I tried to rip factory disc of My Pal Trigger and National Lampoon's Last Resort. I also tried to rip a DVD recorded from TV on my DVD recorder.

I have noticed another error message - When I start the program it says some file from the \format folder called .png was not found.

I realize MP(E)G and MPEG2 are correct titles, but I also know that MPG and MPG2 are short for MPEG and MPEG2

I modified the setting from smart to what I wanted which is 16:9 aspect ratio, 4000 kb/s for the video and set the audio to MP2 at 192 kb/s. Please note that I was able to convert a MPG file using those settings. The problem is strictly ripping from a DVD.

Also, I will tell you that I uninstalled the installation from the file I got from BitsDuJour and downloaded the file from the wonderfox site - Same results.

feral1 Did I just get pointed to a July web posting regarding the version number that was not communicated in the promotion or current web page? And was this after the special expired?

Kenneth Richards Little problem. Tried to use this earlier tonight and it has reverted to the trial version. Yes I activated it when I got it. Yes it worked fine before. Not sure if WonderFox was the company that did it before but I do remember give away versions from a different site being deactivated. Whether a built in timer or signal from the automated version check ins. I will wait for the next time this is offered, but if it reverts again I will be done with WonderFox permanently.

Daddy Ziggy This software is fast for converting to other formats.
I use it often. But it can not download videos from FACEBOOK.
It's being advertised as capable of that, but FB made them remove that.
On http://www.videoconverter...converter/ it still advertises that option.

If the license key you bought is for 1 PC, please uninstall the program on the old computer, then download the software and install it on the new computer and activate it with the original registration code. Please contact our support@videoconverterfactory.com to apply for a new registration code if you find that the original registration code can't work with the new computer.

Language options in our software are included in the installation package, so if you want to switch the existing language, please uninstall the program on the computer and download it again. Set up the desired language before installing it.

Renn User Hello,
I have used this giveaway successfully converting DVD TV episodes to 264 MP4. However when I try to save the same episode in MKV format, a dialogue box appears telling me to wait approx. 30 seconds for completion. After the box goes away I looked at the resultant MKV file, but the episode is only about half there. MP4 completes just fine (full time frame of the episode) but MKV conversion has an issue. I appear to be the only one having this issue (at least from reading the current comments.

Constantin Florea @Wild Wizard, The file you get the first time is a .zip file and I understand you did manage to download the file.

You would have to extract the contents of the zip file and then run the installer to install the application. Did you do that?
