Have you ever heard a cool song on the internet, and forgot to note the artist for later? Or do you subscribe to an online music service and want to keep your favorite songs for later playback? Do you have a favorite internet radio show, but you're always stuck at work when it broadcasts? If any of this describes you, then you will absolutely love Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder!

Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder is a virtual sound card that records any sound played through your sound card, including music from online music sites and radio stations like MySpace, Napster, Rhapsody, XM radio, AOL radio, and over 2000 other internet music sources, without any loss in quality!

Just use Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder to grab the tracks that you want, then split audio files and edit ID3 tags so you get the same information as if you bought the track. You can also add your recordings to iTunes, Windows Media Player, or Winamp! Plus, Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder frees your music from its DRM prison!

Your recordings can be saved in virtually any popular audio file format, including MP3, WMA, WAV, AC3, M4A, AAC, OGG, and more. What this means is that once you've recorded your songs in your preferred format, you're good to go, with no further conversion required!

If you're a fan of podcasts and other streaming audio that broadcasts on a set schedule, you'll love using Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder to schedule your recordings using Stop Times and Recording Length. You can even have Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder automatically turn off your computer after the recording is finished! If you set it to record music over a span of time, Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder will even split each song into its own separate file, automatically!

S Hauber I just run your product and my first impression is quite good. Especially the speed when cutting recorded files is lightning fast, so I suppose 'no re-encoding', which is a big plus.

Unfortunately when recording I found out, it consumed much CPU-time on my 2GHz Laptop (about 20-40%). And also, when not recording, i.e. just running in the background, it consumes 10%. Can this be reduced somehow?

Since you created a virtual- sound-card, isn't it possible - perhaps in a future release - with this instrument to filter sounds coming from certain applications only. This way additional sounds being created from concurrently running other apps would be filtered out while recording...

Wondershare Software Dear S Hauber,

Thanks for your interest in our products.

I have already informed the tech supports to reply your questions about consuming much memory, which should not be difficult to solve. But since it is weekend now, we may get back to you on Monday.

And concerning your suggestion about filtering sounds, I will also forward it to the developers to let them consider it in next update. Your comments on our products are welcomed. Thanks.

Wondershare Software Hi Bob S,

Yes, Wondershare SAR supports all kinds of recording, including Webinars and podcasts. As long as you are able to listen to Webinars and podcasts through your computer, you can record them all. Wondershare SAR can record any sound played through your sound card. Give it a try, and enjoy.

JD LEE I am trying out your 7 day trial for this and like it so far. However, I just turned on my computer and noticed a problem. There is no sound when I try to play my Mp3 files unless I open up your wondershare streming audio recorder. What and why is this happening? Do I need to do something on my setting or? My computer just becomes mute unless I open your program. Please email me the response. Thanks.

Wondershare Software Hi JD LEE,

Thanks for your interest in our products.

Here are the solutions:

For Windows XP:
First, turn off the audio that may play on local player or online and right click the "Volume" button at the tray, and select "Adjust Audio Properties".
Second, in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties, please select "Audio".
Third, choose your own system sound device from the Sound playback Default device list as the default device instead of WsAudioDevice-383.
At last, click "Apply" to finish your setting.

For Windows Vista:
First, turn off the audios that may play on local player or online and click the "Volume" button at the tray, and select "Playback Devices".
Second, select your system "Speaker" as default Working device instead of WsAudioDevice-383.
At last, press "Apply" to finish your setting.

Finished the above setting, you should find your computer's sound back.
