What are people saying about XSitePro 2.5

Randy Martin I have never created a website but I want to and need to. Is this the program I should start with?

Richard Butterworth We think that XSitePro is an excellent program to start creating websites with.

I can honestly tell you that XSitePro is very easy to use, as it has been designed to be user friendly. The great thing with XSitePro is that it's so simple to use but you can still make feature rich, beautiful websites!

XSitePro works in a similar way to a word proccessor, you simply need to create the pages and then add your content.

This helpdesk is fully interactive, so you can check out the knowledgebase for frequently asked questions, or if it's a more technical question, you can submit a support ticket to our experienced team.

Included with your purchase of XSitePro is a whole host of comprehensive learning tools.

Richard Butterworth When you buy XSitePro, same version updates (2.0 - 2.99) are completely free of charge. An update to version 3 would have a charge, but it would be discounted for version 2 customers :)

We are still developing version 2 so there will not be a version 3 released for some time yet.

Nelson Therrien I'm an actual web developer/programmer using Dreamweaver, but your features seems interesting.

My concerns are:
- Accessibility (for visitors) and SEO (i.e. clean code)
- Using CSS for design (i.e. easily change colors, size, etc. with CSS)
- How about French or bilingual sites (ex: I guess the Paypal buttons are all in English... is it easy to change it)
- How about modern technologies, like HTML5 and CSS3
- In the demo, the "mobile" web site seems to be text only... is it just the device or always like that (WAP)?
- I guess we can't use server-side technologies like PHP...

I guess, like many other tools, that it's not suitable for every need... so I just want to know where I stop using that and continue with Dreamweaver...

Trucker Randy Martin - There is other great programs to build websites, Serif is one of them and it has the same kind of GUI as the XSitePro, but to a much lower price.

Karl M. I'm a customer for many years now but honestly I'm using it no more. It has some reasons of course why I'm not using it any more.

It's kind of outdated, has some flaws etc.

Regarding next version 3: I don't think there will ever be a version 3. It took years for version 2 to to get off the starting blocks and all customers needed a lot of patience.

Sorry

Ralph Bressler I wish the supplier would answer the question "Will the extra bonus templates and clipart packs be included ?"

A response to Mountainbird would also be appreciated.

Ed Ward For those looking for (i) an easy to use but (ii) fully featured, robust platform, I can recommend Website Realizer. I purchased when it was last offered on Bits du jour, compared to others, and have found it to be remarkably powerful. I am not a professional programmer, don't know (or wish to learn) HTML, but also wanted to be able to program my own site (50-60 pp.) and have it look professional, etc.

When I did have questions, the developer has also been very responsive. You can find WR at http://www.websiterealizer.com/ - full price is $59.95 but well worth it.

Most remarkable (which I didn't realize until after purchasing) the developer provides a 150 pp. manual, with videos embedded that literally illustrate step-by-step how to do certain tasks.

Ralph Bressler I am about to go to bed. Too bad the questions posed to the developer could not be answered before the deadline or before my bedtime!

Richard Butterworth The extra bonus templates and clipart packs are included in the purchase.

This bonus pack of 50 templates is the perfect addition to the 200+ templates that are included with XSitePro 2.5.

These are variations of some of the built-in graphical templates. Variations include different color schemes, graphics, backgrounds, etc.

XSitePro 2.5 comes with over 4,000 images, and the bonus Image Pack will add an additional 9,000. These aren’t your typical cheesy clipart images at all. Instead we’ve concentrated on images that are appropriate for Internet marketers and online business. In this collection you’ll find arrows, credit card logos, PayPal graphics, buy now buttons, download buttons, and thousands of other professional quality and highly relevant graphics. Gone will be the days where you had to spend hours hunting around to find the right graphic...

Richard Butterworth Karl. Version 3 of XSitePro is something that will happen. We are still developing version 2 so there will not be a version 3 released for some time yet but this is something that will be released.

Karl M. Version 3 of XSitePro is something that will happen.

Richard, yes it may happen. But when? XSitePro isn't a freeware where users have no right to ask for improvements and further development. Your company overtaxed at least my patience.

Richard Butterworth Hi Karl. We know you may be eager for a new release but we are still developing version 2 of XSitePro so the release of version 3 will be some time away yet.

We will keep you up to date with the latest information on the launch of version 3 as soon as we have it.

If you have any other questions or I can help in any other way please do not hesitate to ask.

Captain B Does this program create a single file for a multiple-page web site (and then break this up into individual html pages at the time of publishing)? In other words, to what extent can a web site built with XSitePro later be edited with another tool eg Dreamweaver?
May 18 2012 at 7:55am Copy Link

Richard Butterworth Hi Larry,

Thanks for your question and interest in XSitePro.

XSitePro creates flat html files so yes it is totally possible to build a website with XSitePro and then later edit it in Dreamweaver if you wanted.

I hope this helps answer your question and if I can be of further assistance please let me know.

We look forward to welcoming you to the XSitePro community real soon Larry :)
