And is it possible to add future promotions to the current account?

2) Is privacy guaranteed (as far humanly possible)? Is the uploaded content only viewable by the account user?

3) Do the files/folders need to be always present on the source machine?
To elaborate, an example:
If I have the folder "d:\test" can I back the content up to zoolz and then move/remove the folder "d:\test" from the machine?

4) What is cold-storage? I read in the below link the restore from an cold storage first takes up 3-5 hourse before the restore can be started. Is this correct?

1. No, you cannot have multiple 3 TB plans under the same account (email). For each 3 TB plan you purchase, you have to create a separate account for it to be used.

2. Zoolz is 100% secure. No one can see the backed up data without having the Zoolz login credentials of the account. For more about security, please check the following article:

3. No, you can move or delete the original files from the source drive locally on your machine once they are uploaded to your Zoolz account. For more information, please check the following article:

in the US)?

Zoolz Your files are actually safer while stored in your Zoolz account than on your computer! Files are encrypted before leaving your machine using 256-AES then they are transferred over an SSL encrypted layer.The Amazon S3 storage(where your data is stored) is also encrypted using Server Side Encryption (SSE).

Bertie Brummel @vendor: How can you guarantee privacy when the forementioned US law explicitely demands, that all US enterprises are obliged to give US administration access to the stored data? Do you really want to make us believe encryption is a real problem for CIA, NSA and the like under these circumstances?

Adam P With Zoolz, can you:
a) resume an interrupted backup being uploaded to the cloud at another time, or does it start uploading all over again.
b) Just do 1 time uploads, instead of checking to see if the files gave been changed?
c) Do you have to use the software to backups, or can you just upload files through the software / website
d) If a file gets changed in a directory, does the whole file get uploaded or just the changed data? ( like a 500mb zip file that only gets added to, never files removed)

Regarding your questions :

1) Zoolz will continue backing up your files from the point it got interrupted on. By that, the files won't be backed up all over again.

2) Since Zoolz is a continuous incremental backup software, it will always check for changes on your files.

3) For the Cold Storage, you will need to use the software. The Instant Vault on the other hand, can only be used via the web browser.

4) Please note that only the changes will be backed up.

Adam P So if I add 5 files to a zip file in between backups, does just the portion of the zip file that got changed get backed up, or does the whole file get re-backed up.

Thomas from Genie9 @Adam P: if you add the files to your zip file (supposing that the zip file was previously backed up), only the new files will be added to your backup as long as the zip file remains the same (if you create a new zip file to include both the old and the new files, it will be considered as a new one).

Cary Adams I have doubts about the statement "Zoolz is 100% secure. No one can see the backed up data without having the Zoolz login" as it seems friends have had their accounts terminated for having "illegal;" material stored.

How would Zoolz know this if it were privately encrypted?
