You've spent months designing and tweaking your website. It looks perfect! It runs perfectly! You excitedly deploy it, only to be met with howls of derision from users of the one browser that you didn't test it on! Is there a way to guarantee cross-browser compatibility in a quick and efficient manner, without jumping through testing hoops with every conceivable platform? The answer is yes -- and it's today's discount software promotion! It's called BrowseEmAll!

BrowseEmAll is designed to help web developers achieve cross-browser compatibility, offering the ability to test on the latest versions of all major browsers. With BrowseEmAll, you'll not only enjoy plugins like Flash, but also be able to compare DOM and CSS styles between browsers and test on many mobile platforms. Best of all, BrowseEmAll runs on your local machine, requiring no deployment to an off-site webserver - so your road to cross-browser compatibility is smooth and easy.

Want some nitty gritty details? BrowseEmAll offers you 20 web browsers, including multiple versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera. For mobile, you get simulators for the iPhone, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPad3 and Android tablets and devices, with the ability to zoom and test both portrait and landscape mode performance! Jan-Christoph Ihrens I purchased BrowseEmAll Professional the last time it was offered here at BDJ. It's really handy to have all major browsers in one place, even older versions. The developer is very responsive - bugs are fixed very quickly -, and BrowseEmAll is updated regularly, including new browser engines. Highly recommended for web workers!

Questions:
1) Whats the difference between Standard and pro? and if only the pro comes with the Iphone/android "emulators", then will "Android 2.3" still be listed in the drop down selactable browser list? and if it will be listed, then what is the difference because the "standard edition" showing a "Android 2.3" webpage as opposed to using the "emulator" in the pro version?

2) I am using WinXP, so I can't install IE9 - so what issues/limitations will I run into?

Daniel Herken To answer your questions:
1)
Only the professional version includes the mobile device simulators (iPad, iPhone, Android). If you activate a trial using a browseemall standard key the mobile devices (like Android) will no longer be available in the list.

2)
Yes you will not be able to test for IE9 or IE10 on windows xp

Hope this helps!

VLM So Daniel, just to be sure a country bumpkin like me is clear ... Standard facilitates full-scale testing on conventional browsers, and Pro extends the scope to include these 3 specific device families. That's the essential difference. Nothing else.

Correct?

And regarding the 12-months policy, licensees receive continuing updated support including bug fixes and feature enhancements (presumably to keep pace with new releases of the various browserererers) for 12 months from date of purchase, after which the software still works, but less and less effectively over time as the underlying browsererererer information becomes increasingly dated.

Correct?

And this product does not do laundry.

Correct?

Jan-Christoph Ihrens @VLM:

1) I'm almost sure it is as you say, but it's better to let Daniel answer this.

2) That's correct.

3) Not that I'm aware of. :D

Susan Pichotta I love BDJ and their deals, but I'm getting a bit tired of hitting the "Buy" button and then being asked to make a choice about different versions - when I didn't realize that different versions exist.

Today's deal is especially frustrating, because after looking on the product website, I couldn't find any comparison of the different versions. I don't want to "Take a tour" and I don't want to "Try it", I want to find out what the difference is between the two versions to figure out how much money I should give you - or if I should at all.

Sorry we did not make it more clear what the different versions are. Let me explain it to you real quick:

BrowseEmAll Standard
Includes all features for all major desktop browsers like IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera

BrowseEmAll Professional
Includes all features of the standard version and simulators for mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, Android and Android tablets

Jac A. Susan: If you take the time to read previous posts instead of ranting, you could find your answer (just like I did!)

Susan Pichotta Jac A.

When I began writing the first post, the other comments and replies had not yet been written. There was nothing to read. I didn't see the other comments/replies until AFTER I finished and posted my first message - which is why I updated my reply.

My intention was to also give feedback to help the seller make their marketing more effective, so that they can make more money, which is generally a good thing. No negative intentions. Sorry if it came off otherwise.

Hmm... you might have a point here. We'll look into making it more obvious which versions are being offered up front :)

VLM Susan has a valid point. It is indeed helpful to know, at the very least, that multiple versions are offered, and to have a link to a comparison, or a comment or two in the description, or the like.

Roger has a valid point in pointing out that Susan has a valid point.

Daniel is the only one without a valid point, as the software does not do laundry. But he has provided a sane and realistic alternative, which I appreciate ... and he has done so in a timely manner. Furthermore, the folks at Laundry Online Dry Cleaners appear to have a nicely appointed truck, which of course is a major selling point.

Daniel, I appreciate your timely presence and your good humor!

Francis M Having read your blog, I'm still not clear about the deal with IE10 when it comes out.

Is one going to be able to use BrowseEmAll with Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7?

One small point about your website. I would have liked to see some client comments/testimonials.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens @Francis M: Since IE10 is expected to be available on Windows 7 (but not on older systems), I can't think of a reason why BrowseEmAll shouldn't make use of it.

Garrett Goyette Another issue with clicking the BUY now to see if there is a version, BDJ logs the click as an ACTUAL BUY.

This has led to great confusion in the past for me , thinking i bought something then it was never delivered or i have to first check my Paypal account and my wifes...but that is only if the Vendor or Vendor delivery service takes Paypal. After i lost my hard drive i went through much pain to recover most [but not all of my legitimate purchases on BDJ ...nearly 100 or so including the 100 % Free download of the days. then there are the 500 Warrior Forum purchases in the last 18 months...You get the idea... headaches, lost time, lost money, unused products...making unhappy customers. Perhaps you can add a wishlist or figure out how to know for sure what purchases a customer actually completes. It would be very helpful and appreciated.
That complaint aside, I LOVE BDJ, check it almost everyday if only to keep educated on all the different great software out there...such as today's product...lwhat a great idea. I will pick up the trial today, and probably get it next time around if i get around to developing more websites.

Also, I like when you post UPCOMING, then i have a chance to download ahead of time, thus increasing the chance i have a few days to try out software which i do not always have time to do on the Day of

You will be able to test using IE10 on any system that will be able to install IE10 (likely Windows 7 and 8)
