David Mescheloff Hi! Installation seems to have gone fine,and I've used the program to my satisfaction, and I received the registration code by email ... but I don't receive any way to input the code into the program, and I don't see that it's registered. What gives?

Jack User Where do you enter the registration code please?
When I open software, I get the choose a collage option and there is no nag screen. Under help, there is no registration option so what is the problem??
Q: How to register my software?
A: After you purchase the software successfully, you will receive registration information via Email within one business day. Download the software you bought from our site and run it. In Upgrade Nagscreen, enter your license code in the corresponding box and click 'Register' button to finish the registration.
Note: since the license code is letter-sensitive, please COPY and PASTE the code. And don't add any blank before or after it.

Sam User Installation and registration went smooth, but it's a bit tricky and can be VERY confusing to people without good computer experience.

I think the developer should post the steps for registration, which involve the "Upgrade" to the Pro version:

- Press Cancel (at the initial start of the program, for selecting and adding pictures)
- Then find how to get to "Upgrade", etc. (press "Help", About, or "Upgrade" ...

When the program starts (before registration), it starts with the FREE version, no registration is required, so you won't be prompted to register it.
You have to select upgrade, enter the code, and press Register.

Petronius Arbiter II I'm not real happy with this program, and here's why:

I very often create very specifically designed collages for my Ebay business, such as the following designed for selling tomato seeds:

I created this-- rather laboriously-- using plain old Windows Paint. I selected the 4 photos, resized and cropped them to exactly the same size, plugged the photos in, and added the black frame and then the captions. Very time-consuming to do with such a primitive progam as Paint for Windows XP, but at least it does exactly what I wanted it to do.

All I really wanted out of CollageIt Pro was a program that would save me a few steps, which I find that today's freebie deal indeed does... up to a POINT, but not, sadly, all the way. (I already accepted that it wasn't going to do captions.)

Using this program as it is, I can save a few steps by choosing a template, tinkering with the parameters, setting up page layout to be the same width and height in pixels to allow the 4 photos plus 8 pixels each dimension to allow for a 2-pixel black frame around each photo. I can add the photos and then rearrange them, but THEN:

I'm stuck with whatever width and height the program randomly "artistically" chooses for the two columns and two rows, which I absolutely CANNOT resize without actually cropping the photos again, which I don't want to do. All I really wanted was a program which would allow me to keep each photo the exact same size it was to begin with. But I don't see any way to get the program to do that, unless maybe by choosing a particular template? Please let me know if that is possible with this software, but as of now, it appears the program simply doesn't allow user-chosen resizing for the columns and rows.

Jack User Thanks Samuser. There is no upgrade prompt on my version which is 1.9.5. Pro so perhaps it is already upgraded.

Sam User Jack, Click on Help, then select About.
If you see Free version, then you need to upgrade and use the registration number.
If it says Pro, then you are set.

I already uninstalled it since it's not flexible, and I wasn't happy with the templates and the way it places the pictures in the boxes.
Not going to elaborate because Petronius has already discussed the limitations.
The free Google Picasa is more flexible, and it allows you to create collages. It alsot allows you to create custom aspect ratios, in addition to its already built-in long list of aspect ratios (for the boxes). So I'll continue to use that.

Star Player I have a similar problem to that outlined by Petronius Arbiter II above (I think), in that I've downloaded the software, 'upgraded' to Pro version with the supplied serial and played around a bit with the templates.

HOWEVER, none of the pictures that I import into the templates do so to fit properly into the squares/rectangles/rhombuses. They all appear much larger, so only show parts of the subjects in the boxes. Also, if I try to scale the pictures upwards, the little crop box around each picture doesn't expand.

Short of rescaling every picture I've got to a very small size before importing them, the 'end result' is always going to be an unsatisfactory output. Alternatively, maybe I will continue to use the collage creator at befunky.com (which is also free) instead, as that does allow scalability within each box.

If there is a solution to importing my photos into this software, to allow them to be seen in full view and without the need to scale them all right down beforehand, perhaps somebody would please kindly let me in on the 'secret'?

Ken Stewart .I installed the d/l from yesterday and installed on Win 8.1 64 bit- the license code states invalid. I installed in the x86 program file being 32 bit. Tried to download 3/21 am in hopes of getting a license code that would activate but was denied.

Would like try this program - just aggrivation.

Annabel Hawks What an absolute WASTE OF TIME! This is a joke. The license code doesn't work, they are just trying to get you on the 15 day trial ---at least be honest about it !!
Save yourselves the aggravation people, move on!

Constantin Florea @Annabel Hawks, The license code should work when it is used with the correct installer for CollageIt Pro. We had many customers participating in the promotion and there were a few cases where customers claimed that the code didn't work. In most cases it seems customers were trying to use the code to unlock another program (different from CollageIt Pro).

Could you please send us at notify@bitsdujour.com a snapshot showing the registration code you entered into the registration window as well as the error message you get when trying to register the application?

If we can't help you register the application, then we will contact the vendor to help with the issue you mention.
