Javier Gil I think it's a bit rude to request a product comparison between the product Serif is promoting here and a competing product, no matter what it is. I mean, you're talking about asking someone to give you his time for something you want.
We all know that there are many free products out there. Give them a try and decide for yourself, maybe you can do a review one day.
I just think it's very generous of Serif to offer big discounts for their products and having to do a product comparison of someone else's product.

Serif Hi Huidong,

Scribus is great value because it’s free, but in a real life comparison it falls short for professional work - it’s not as feature-rich or polished as PagePlus.

We haven't got a full comparison with this product, but here’s a mention of Scribus from the most recent PagePlus X6 review we know of, written by a computer club in the US last week. Hope it helps.

Serif Hi Huidong,

The PagePlus X6 supports the import of SVG files but does not support the export.
The opposite applies for HTML. PagePlus X6 doesn't support HTML importing, but it does support HTML exporting.

Hitman @Curt If you know the web, many are designed like "pages", and they are of value as templates for page layout, just like the enormous number of templates built in PagePlus, that's the rationality for HTML importing. Regarding SVG, if you know this format, it is of great potential: open-source, XML-based, so it is ideal for those who don't want to deal with proprietary vector graphics formats, and want to have absolute control of the file, since it's XML. It's surprising that you don't see the value of SVG in desktop publishing. Regards.

Hi Anon- PagePlusX6 is compatible with WordPerfect files, however will use Microsoft Word in the background to open and import the files. The limitations of this will depend on what version of Word you have installed. It would be difficult for us to say how much formatting would be maintained without seeing the files you want to import/open.

PagePlusX6 is primarily a desktop publishing software - so we cannot provide you with links to websites created with PagePlusX6. However within the software you can create websites and export as HTML files, with the capabilities of adding interactive media and hyperlinks. But if you wanted more advanced adaptations you would need a Web Design software- our award winning product in this line is WebPlusX5.

Tim Krafcik Where can I read the software license. My Photoshop license allows me to install on a home and a laptop as long as they are not used concurrently. This is handy because I do a lot of real estate fliers on the road. Thanks.
