singularity The old style interface is still turning me off.. you need to update the user interface to go along with newer versions of windows.

singularity The screenshot still shows the old style hard coded window buttons (minimise, maximise, close). Looks odd with new flat metro interface.

Copernic @Chris Dino. We are working on fixing it to make it the same style as Windows 8. It will likely be included inside the next update.

singularity What I intended to tell you is somewhat explained in the screenshot. http://i.imgur.com/VhtltGV.jpg . About how it should have looked in Windows 8. Otherwise it is the top notch desktop search application out there. I am just a little bit particular about the uniformity of applications in my work environment. :)

german user can i only search for files or can i also search in files?

for example, i know the docx, pdf, ... contains the word bitsdujour, i just can't remember the filename.

Copernic @german user. Yes, Copernic Desktop Search will allow you to search for files names and for keyword inside those files.

Copernic Yes, updates are always included with Copernic. Upgrades are not unless the customer purchased Software Assurance. In your case, you only purchased version 4, therefore you will need to buy the upgrade to version 5.

Mark Lynam I took advantage of this offer earlier today. I've been a long time X1 user and am looking forward to comparing the two. I've used CDS in the past, but wasn't keen on the interface. Version 4 is lookin' nice!

Tom Holloway Copernic is so worth the money. Finally, a fast search app. I used to have one on my Mac and have ALWAYS been disappointed with Windows' search ability. (ASIDE: Whey did Microsoft think that Bing would ever be a success when they have such poor search engines on their other products).

UPGRADE SUGGESTION: If they could only merge the ability with a duplicate finder, that would be great. Any chance?

What do I get for the (Additional???) $64.90
If I get that, is that in ADDITION to the $24.97 (so my "TOTAL" will be $89.87 .
Is that correct ???

Copernic @Chris Roy Jackson. No, the Software Assurance is 14.95 USD on top of the license. Currently, the product which includes Software Assurance is not on promotion through BitsduJour. The promotion is only for the license for 24.97.

MojoMan I downloaded the trial to give it a shot and find that it needs a serial number for the 30 day trial. I submitted the request a couple hours ago and have not yet received any response. How soon will the trial key be sent ?

Also... a further question. How soon will the next version be released ?

You do NOT offer the Software assurance as a SEPERATE Item at $14.95 !!!
You ONLY offer it as a PACKAGE with a FULL PRICE License:
(ie. $49.95 + $14.95 = $64.90)
Is that correct ???

There will be an update this fall and the next major version is set to be released around Spring 2015.

Cary Adams Will v4 search Thunderbird mail and display it as the email should appear. I once had v3, and I could only search mail files (eml) as text, and the mail file display was horrible, showing all the formatting labels (it looked much like raw html).
