Individual Software Support The activation code allows the user to install the program on up to three computers they personally own. The activations are not reset if the programs are uninstalled.

The Family Tree Heritage links to US-Based databases. Unfortunately, there is not a Polish-based database that the program is designed to search.

Individual Software Support Try installing the program using the Run as Administrator command:

Insert the disk
Click on the Start button
Click on This PC
Right-click on the CD drive the disk is inserted in to
Left-click on Open
Right-click on Setup.exe
Left-click on Run as Administrator

After the installation has completed, right-click on the desktop icon, left-click on Run as Administrator.

Individual Software Support @Tomasz Lisowski -The activation code is valid for up to three different installations. Transferring a license is prohibited if the license is being transferred to a different owner. If you are installing the program on a different computer, one that you own, that would be acceptable.

Kathy Skipper Same here it did not ever come up for me to register & I can find no way to do so. It has only let me make the tree but have to search with free site that I already was a member of

Individual Software Support It has been a delicate issue for a few years now about allowing a user unlimited use of their purchased software while preventing free distribution. Typically, with proof of purchase, download links or new activation codes are sent again to confirmed purchasers within a year or two of their original purchase.

Individual Software Support @ Mr Dave - Family Tree Heritage can import and export Gedcom files (*.ged). If you have another genealogy program installed, export your data to a gedcom file format first.

Within The Scrapbook Collection for each individual included within your data file, you can save multiple pictures. There is one picture that will be assigned the Default designation to act as the display photo for the individual within the program views.

If you have accounts at Ancestry.com or FamilySearch.org, you can log in to those accounts then connect to them through Family Tree Heritage to help update your local file. You can also export online family trees to a Gedcom file that you can import directly in to your data file in Family Tree Heritage.

Individual Software Support @Peter User - This means – transfer to another’s computer.

If to another computer of yours – it is OK.

The EULA says you can install on 1 computer and a backup computer. With installs – you are only allowed 2-3 installs. With good reason – tech support may honor another key request.

Finally – a new Version 16 is available – make sure you get that. The plan is all version 15 products will be converted for FREE to version 16.

Individual Software Support @Edward Pritchard Jr- You can access ancestry.com from the Family Tree Heritage program but except for some limited free usage ancestry.com wants you to pay for their data records. However, the Family Search site created by the Mormon Church has billions of records that are FREE to the public. In addition, that site is integrated with the Family Tree Heritage program for easy transfer of data. It should be used first and then depending on how much you want to pay use - ancestry.com.

Also included is a tool to customize and include links to any specific website you would like the program to automatically link to as well. We hope this information helps.
