Constantin Florea @Carlos H - Could you please ensure that you are using the installer from the receipt email you received? The key will only work with that installer. The key will not work with the installer downloaded from the product site.

John User Your software doesn't work and it keeps crashing. I'm running Windows 7 and I keep getting this message: "Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information". You really should test your software before releasing it!!!!

Carlos H @ Constantin Florea Installed using the installer from the receipt email. The program crashes when trying to register it using the keyboard to input the key or using copy-paste. Message from Windows: "SoftOrbits Flash Drive Recovery dejó de funcionar" "El programa dejó de funcionar correctamente por un problema. Windows cerrará el programa y le notificará si existe una solución" Using Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1

p3sto After reading the messages about problems with this app, I decided to see what was up. I used the special installer and the key code that was emailed. To register, the program requires the key code plus an email address. Any email address? Yes, my test showed you can enter ANY email address. The program does phone home, so if you have a firewall it can be the source of an installation crash. I was able to duplicate the install crash with my firewall in manual operation. But the program did eventually load properly. In terms of recovering deleted files from a thumb drive, I got inconsistent results. I created a simple text file with Windows Notepad, copied it to a 16GB thumb drive, deleted the file and tried to recover. The app displayed a list of deleted files on the thumb drive, but when I selected the test file to recover, the recovered version was full of gibberish. The original text file had this one line: This program has bugs. #fail. The recovered file had this: åA c c e s Hs ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ÿ I then found an old 64MB thumb drive and first did a full format, then copied the same text file to it and deleted it. This time it succeeded. Verdict: inconsistent results depending on the condition of the thumb drive. Further testing needed with other thumb drives.

Tony O. Got the flash drive finally..may i add from my observations it does just what it says...flashdrive recovery...i gather this doesn't do usb drives and some customers may think it does...or am i wrong in thinking this? The program doesn't open up any drives unless u have a flashdrive so i'm guessing its not USB recovery either..(but then again, isn't a flashdrive plugged into a USB port??? Please explain. Thank you

Narful User Never got the registration email. I just uninstalled it from my computer. There are plenty of free ones out there that do the same thing.

JamesCGW Hi Constantin Florea, Both my son and I downloaded the Flash Drive Recovery software last night and both of us had trouble getting it installed. We finally did get it installed but since it was past the registration time it failed to register. Is there any way possible to get it registered? Btw, Received my mug from BitsDuJour yesterday in the mail. It is very nice and I just want to say thank you for the mug. It sits nicely on my desk holding my drink. Thank you once again, James
