Folders! How many of them are on your screen at any given time? And can you really distinguish between one folder and another? Not really, huh? They're just a sea of yellow rectangles, taunting you with their unending sameness! But now you can take control of your folder universe with Folder Marker Pro! And if you really want to be unique with Vista or Windows 7, you can unleash the power of Everyday Folder Icons!

Folder Marker Pro lets you distinguish between folders by assigning different colors, priorities, work status, or type of file, just in a single click of your mouse! Freed from the uniformity and blankness of yellow folders, you'll be able to tell, visually, what kind of files are in any folder that you've marked with Folder Marker Pro! On a basic level, you can assign folders to represent various types of files in your workflow. Then, you can mark folders by how high of a priority those files are, or by the level of completion of the work inside the folder! Never again will you accidentally delete a bunch of high priority files, not with Folder Marker Pro at your side!

If you've got some favorite icons in your arsenal, you can use them in conjunction with Folder Marker Pro! Just select an icon (like a whimsical URGENT sign) in ICO, ICL, EXE, DL, CPL, or BMP format, and use it to mark up your folders. There's even support for 32-bit icons! And you won't be needing to mark folders one at a time, either -- Folder Marker Pro lets you work with several folders at once, or mark up subfolders.

Everyday Folder Icons, much like Folder Marker Pro, can jazz up your Vista or Windows 7 installation to the max! With Everyday Folder Icons, you have access to a glorious 60+ professional folder icons that are suitable for a range of uses, all fitting the unique and authentic folder style of the original icons!

Gary User I've purchased one copy of folder marker pro in the past, and I was very satisfied with it. While contemplating the purchase of a second copy for a second computer, I discovered that Win 10 seems to allow me to do the same thing - i.e. change the icon of my folders, so my question is what does Folder Maker Pro add that I can't do with win 10?

Jeremy User You can just make custom ones in win10, I think this one is only if you want the included designs and the marker function. If you already have the older version I'm willing to bet you can just use the icons from that as win10 custom ones ;-o

Mustang Is there a link to version change logs?

Roman, ArcticLine Gary User, try to color-code your folder to red in 2 clicks with Windows10 build-in function. You will see how less efforts you need for this with the Folder Marker

Roman, ArcticLine @Mustang, yes, here is the list of changes in the last (4.5) version:

plus, you can find the full log of changes in Readme.rtf file inside the folder Marker's dirjavascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("r$b$c$cmdSubmit", "", true, "CXrbc", "", false, true))

Gary User Roman, I use icons not colors for distinguishing my folders - rather simple in win 10 - click properties, customize, change icon. I was hoping you had something more.

Does folder icon pro have a way of synching the icons between two computers? For example, if I create and assign icons on computer 1, then backup the folders to computer 2, can I use a second copy of folder icon pro to sync the changed folder icons for the second computer?

Roman, ArcticLine @Gary User, OK, then try to sort or filter folders by the image labels you've assigned to the folders by default way...

>> synching the icons between two computers
This can be done via backup feature but requires manual work. No ability to synchronize automatically

Gary User syncing would be of great benefit - without it I can't use the program because I need to work with two computers spread across three screens.

Maybe in the next versions...
