What are people saying about iDailyDiary Professional

Robert Chan I am trying out idailydiary and quite enjoy using it. I have a question: I have a folder that contains a few photos and I would like to insert the folder in one of the diary pages. Is this possible?

Splinterware You can drag and drop the photos onto the diary page from Windows explorer, or use the insert picture option. But you can't just insert the folder, it has to be the picture files.

Robert Chan Hi,

I am planning to purchase the Pro version and I have a question: Is the license a single user license? Can I use iDailyDiary on two or three computers with myself as the only user? Thanks.

Splinterware Hi Robert,

Yes, as long as it is strictly for your own personal use then you can use iDailyDiary on more than one computer. For example, you could install iDailyDiary on a USB memory stick and run it on whichever computers you use regularly with little risk the program will be used by anyone else. If you are installing iDailyDiary on shared computers so others will be able to use the program then you should purchase additional licenses.

Howard P. Hi,

I tried to purchase the software but even I have already applied the discount code, the price is still $30 (not $15). Is there something that I am missing? Please advise.

Howard P. Hi,

I tried it a second time and it worked! (price $15). Please disregard my earlier post.

Stefan Hauber Just downloaded the trial and played around with it...

What I was not so happy about was the posting-to-internet possibilities. Yes, I found the advanced-export function and I could save the complete diary to harddisk (for later publishing), but it 'just' seems to be the diary-entries itself, i.e. without connection. I probably expected some main-page index.html from where I can see for which dates there are entries and be able to jump to, similar to the behaviour in your program itself.

Have I overseen something, or is this intended this way?
Is this a feature being planed in the near future?

Splinterware Howard, glad you got it sorted. As long as the code is typed in, in capitals: IDD50, then it should work. If anyone else experiences a problem let us know.

Splinterware Stefan,

At the moment the export to HTML option is limited to exporting the diary pages to individual web pages (which can be subsequently uploaded to a website if you wish), it doesn't effectively 'publish' the diary to the web with all the assocated index.htm and web-based tree-view etc. - but this is a feature we expect to add in the future.

Brenda Adams Tried several times. Discount not reflected after applying code (however, it does show correctly on main page) but soon as it go to the actual payment page (I want to pay by Visa) it goes back to $30 and has no place to enter a code. I am growing frantic as deal ends soon. HELP please.

Michael R So hopefully this feature above will be free to the buyers today...

I am searching for a 'diary' I can edit offline, but be able to offer certain pages online too, that means a kind of offline/online diary. It should remember the pages I want to share online (and of course these, I want to keep offline).

Yours isn't exactly intended to do so (yet), but I think with it's extended import/export functions it's can be used to do this in a basic way, so I bought it...

Perhaps you are considering extending it into these directions...

brenda adams Update: after many attempts, the page finally reflected $15 and the purchase went thru. I suspect that many others are trying to order and perhaps that kept it from working the way it should. just a guess

Jeff Atlas I downloaded this program onto a USB port on a laptop while out of the country on the correct date. The USB port in question has been lost. You should have a record of the download. Please advise as to how I can reload the program for the $ 15.00 charge again. Thank you.

Michael K Both " iDaily Diary" and "The Journal 5" have both been offered on Bits Du Jour.

If anyone can provide a comparative review between the two programs, I would be most grateful.

Thanks

Michael

Roberto you can add Advanced Diary to your comparison. I only own The Journal. Its great, but now i love the "amish" software and TJ5 is a little bit bloated :)
thats why maybe i buy All My Journals when available.

Splinterware We of course recommend iDailyDiary as that is our product ;-). Sorry we don't do comparisons with competing products. However you can usually download evaluation version of most products to try out so you can decide for yourself.

iDailyDiary also has a Free version with you can use forever, it has less features that the Professional version. You can download a 30 day evaluation of the Professional version from our website:
