Who doesn't love special effects and filters for their images? But instead of being limited to just a few effects picked from a drop down box, why not go crazy with today's discount software promotion, IFX-Supreme?

IFX-Supreme lets you enhance images and combine image filters and tools in unlimited combinations to create stunning results. With IFX-Supreme, you'll enjoy Drag & Drop functionality, combined with a real-time preview function, resulting in the easiest, quickest way to experiment and come up with your own unique creations. There's an intuitive editor, which you'll use to apply filters and photo effects to your images. Then there's the filter factory, which lets you combine filters and effects to come up with your own transformations. Finally, there's a free library of user-generated filters that you can download and use at will.

All of the filters you've grown to expect are here, plus plenty of unexpected surprises. There's sepia, for turning new photos into old fashioned relics. Embossing is here, too. Plus sharpen, blur, contrast, exposure corrections, and more. Best of all, IFX-Supreme features a node-based system that means you can create things to your heart's content with absolutely no programming expertise! Your photos can then be saved to a variety of popular file formats and shared with the world via iPhoto, Photoshop, Facebook Flickr, and Pinterest!

DrTeeth The screenshots here and on your site (they are the same) do not show what sort of filters and effects can be applied and the gallery on your site is empty!!! Can you please supply some photos that shows what this can do?

Markus Moenig Hello Dr Teeth,

Below is a link to a recent review on IFX-Supreme with a couple of screenshots and a link to a video clip from the same reviewer. Hope this helps.

DrTeeth It does help a bit. I d/l the trial, and the colour scheme is terrible. Dark coloured type on a slightly darker background does not work - I cannot use the program because of this - it is too hard to see anything and the icons are similarly affected.

Some feedback during the template download and install phases would have been useful.

Also, thumbnails of my (JPG) files do not show at the bottom of the main screen.

Markus Moenig Hi Guy,
Your feedback is noted, enchancing the color scheme is something we will look to rectify for the next version release.

Michael R. After having created a (filter-)sequence (NodeGraph) within IFXSupreme, can I call IFXSupreme in a command-line with this sequence and one (or more) picture-files as input and one as output as args too to do the processing (or do I have to use the IFXSupreme-IDE to do this)?

Markus Moenig Hi Michael,

We do not have command-line support for IFX to do this.

Louis H Richie....

First off, thank you for being a vendor who interacts with folks. While I never discount a program based solely on this, it is always nice to know the vendor is actively involved with the customer.

Second, I have a question concerning the length of the license.

Could you explain what the following means?

"Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for current subscriptions."

Does "current subscription" mean a yearly fee to use the software? Or for the duration of the current major version? (i.e. All V1 releases are free, but V2 would require a new "subscription?") Or....????? What, if any, payment will be necessary when V1 becomes V2?

Thanks!

Markus Moenig Hi Louis,

All version 1 releases will be free and possibly version 2 also, I made a mistake adding the subscription edit.

Best regards

Richie

CodeDog Your PaintSupreme looks interesting too, it would be nice if there was a way to purchase both in a single transaction...

Ralph Bressler I went to your website to look at what the program can do. I wanted to see some examples. I clicked on Gallery and was surprised to see the statement "No gallery available". I don't know which is more unprofessional, not having the gallery or having a button that leads to a blank screen! You could have taken advantage of the BDJ promotion but instead dropped the ball in several. The area you are competing in is filled with programs. Some of the competing programs may not be as good as yours but they are more professionally promoted.

Antoosa This says "Per User" License, but then it says to be installed on only one computer. So, which one is it? Is this a Per User license (to be installed on all owned computers?) or is it a Per Computer license? Please clarify, as this will influence my decision.

Antoosa Developer's silence is frustrating to say the least. Would like clarification about what is meant by Per User license, as this normally means program may be installed on all owned computers.

Ralph Bressler It seems that too many developers, especially smaller ones, squander the opportunity given them on BDJ. I was going to order this figuring its only $7 but now it becomes the principle of the thing. If the developer is not prepared to be available to answer questions, I am not prepared to support their product.

Roger Thomasson @ Ralph, Antoosa

Richie has been very responsive thus far, it's all up there in plain sight.

Please allow our developers the chance to sleep, they're people too :)

Ralph Bressler @Roger I respect your right to defend your developers particularly those who have shown a willingness to respond in the past. The company has a host registered in the US but is located in Germany. I don't know where Richie is but it is about 7:00 PM in Germany. Some of these issues could have been addressed at some point today. My original comment was about the lack of a gallery so, no, it isn't all up there in plain sight. Yes, you are right, I can try the program and see what effects I can get. Then again I may want to skip the hassle and the developer loses a sale.

The other question was about the conflict between per user and per computer. The way the language is written the program can only be installed on ONE computer and used by ONE person. This is more restrictive than most licenses and might dissuade some people from making the purchase.

Antoosa Roger, your dismissive reply is not what I would expect of BDJ staff....and, no, the answer to my question is not in plain sight, contrary to what you say.

As I mentioned before, Per User license (per my experience with other developers) means the program may be installed on all owned computers, and previous BDJ developers have misstated their Per User license policy, so my question is valid....and.I expect to receive clarification from the developer, else I will not buy the program.

Most importantly, because of your dismissive reply, I will encourage my friends and family not to buy any programs from BDJ.

Ralph Bressler I just installed the trial and must say it is an interesting approach to adding filters which can be both flexible and frustrating at the same time. I echo a previous comment that the dark on dark scheme is VERY hard to read. Since the method of applying the filters is different it takes some getting used to. The filters create "nodes" which can be manipulated to create even more filters and effects than are originally supplied with the program. I wish the developer had not disabled the "save" function since I would like to see what the final effect would look like. In fact, the program asks you to save when you quit but then will not allow the save.

I do think the program shows promise and is worth the $7 price. I do hope the developer clarifies some issues and makes the improvements suggested here.

Lukasz Kowalczyk Is there any way to zoom in or out image one is working on (windows version)? I can't find such feature. Image is always fit to window size and if there's no option to zoom it then it's a huge disadvantage of this software.

Zoran Paljevic @ Roger, Ralph, Antoosa

I cannot see any mercy watching the clock up there :)

I think developers should be here any minute of their 24 or 48 hours. If that's not possible at least they should "check out" for several hours rest and let people know when they'll be available again so 1, 5 or 10 people will not waste their time waiting for answer and not become frustrated, in a first place.

BDJ is all about hours, minutes and seconds so each of those should be fully functional, that's my opinion.

Check out is bad for business but it's not worst then dead silence, sure.

Markus Moenig @Antoosa - Sorry for the delay on answering, regarding the license it is in fact per computer only.

@Ralph - You are correct with regards to the gallery, this is something we shall update asap.

@John Ivey - As far as I am aware IFX should work on 10.6.8, we shall test it and get back to you.

@Danny - IFX-Supreme is a stand alone application.

@Lukasz - There is no zoom feature for the images, something we shall take note of and add to the next version.

Louis H Every program has to start somewhere. I've been debating about picking this one up as it currently has elements which I do not like, such as the current color scheme, but it also has features that I like. I'm willing to spend a few bucks now to support the direction I believe it is going.

As to the concerns others seem to have over how active a vendor is her at BDJ, that is simply not a way I choose to make a judgement about anyone.

Worst scenario? I lose 6$. Best scenario? I gain an additional tool for my graphic toolbox.

So count me in on this one.

SoulCustody I like sampling new graphic programs to keep current. This is the first I've heard of this program. Trial version loaded on to my Mac (10.8.2) with no problems. The registration key also worked the first time I entered it. While using the program, my Mac did crash several times. A bug I hope will be fixed in future versions. I have high hopes for this program because there are parts I like and unfortunately, parts I don't like so much. The interface text doesn't work for me. It needs to be lighter, brighter, etc. The work area is well arranged and easy to access while working. I would like to see graphics saved in other formats such as psd. Rendering time is my biggest issue with this program. I'm sure you're well aware of this and will continue to work toward a quicker response. I hope that by the time I'm more proficient with node editing, this program will have most of the suggestions people have offered in these emails. Offering your program through BDJ is a huge plus for me as I'll readily risk $6 to try a new product. Really great job offering a different approach to user defined filters. Keep up the good work!

Markus Moenig Thanks SoulCustody,

Yes we will seriously look to make the interface brighter as it is obviously needed after the feedback from this promo, also adding other formats (both in future version).

Regarding the crash you are having - please mail me at richiebraindistrict.com with a description on where and when it crashes (so I can narrow the bug down)
