Don't you hate how US customers are given much better prices (and deals) by large companies such as Adobe?

In addition to the significantly higher base prices we have to pay in Europe, the national taxes slapped on top makes some products (Adobe Photoshop CS, for example) unaffordable for non-business use.

Bertie Brummel @ Tore: If Amazon runs a site in your country you've a good chance to find a similar offer for PS Elements 10 there today.

As for the prices in Europe compared to the US market, I'm 100% with you. It's not only the software industry though. Same with tools or machinery f.e.. Differences up to or even more than100% are no rarity.

Software houses usually argue with costs of localizing their products.
Look at prices they demand on the Asian market and you know they are wrong. Even worse is the fact, that US enterprises often sell their goods for drastically different prices in various EEC countries. Obviously not a question of localizing or import taxes then.

@ Nico:

Yesterday the PS Elements and Premiere Elements offers were
already online in BdJ's "Hot deals" section. I made comments re. the restrictions visible on Adobe's website. BdJ liked to drop
one of these comments immediately (w/o notification), the other comments were deleted when moving the offer to "Daily Deal" this morning.

Please draw your own conclusions.

Brenda Adams I am still confused. You say it's part of Black Friday deal, Bit's du Jour shows it ends in just 10 hours from now (Nov 22)....BUT BUT BUT...at your store, it saw ends Nov 29!
Also, not sure, but don't recall a time limit at Amazon. Please clarify true end date this deal can be had. Bit's du Jour today, but same price at store in another week?

Carl Lum I am puzzled by the lack of response from BitsduJour--is it because this deal is a no-moneymaker for them and it's not worth their effort to reply? This "deal" reamains on their site, even though Adobe told me their "50% off" deal ended Nov 29.
