Keep Your Applications In Safe, Secure Containers

$34.95
Sandboxie Personal ScreenshotHard Drive / USB Security Software ScreenshotSandboxie Personal, Hard Drive / USB Security Software ScreenshotSandboxie Personal, Security Software Screenshot

Applications are careless creatures. Just like hyperactive little children they run amok wherever they can and often leave behind a mess (of auxiliary files) that you have to clean up.

The sandbox is a safe, secure place for kids to play, so why not confine your new and unproven applications to a similar residence?

Sandboxie sets up a safe, secure space on your hard drive for unruly and untrusted applications to operate rather than spreading it across a wasteland of fragmented drive sectors.

Sandboxie allows for the creation of numerous sandboxes for different levels of security. For example, you can easily designate a sandbox to test out new software before integrating it into your hard drive proper. And if something gets lost in the sandbox, Sandboxie has quick one-click file recovery. Finally, when you're absoluetly sure that an application or file is secure, you can lift it out of the sandbox, dust it off, and welcome it to its new home -- your hard drive.

But here's the knockout punch -- Sandboxie actually increases your internet security. Sandboxie can be set to limit your browser's access to the rest of your hard-drive while offering quick clean up and a "stop all activity" command -- including activity you didn't even know about!

Please note: the one year countdown begins after the product key is first activated. So, if you buy two licenses you can wait to activate the second until the first has expired.

This promotion includes the following:
Sandboxie - Home Use Lifetime License (1 Computer) ($34.95)
Sandboxie - Home Use Annual Subscription (1 Computer, 1 Year) ($20.95)
Sandboxie - Home Use Lifetime License (3 Computers) ($49.95)

J S ONCE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE 'Sandboxie', I DOUBT YOU'LL EVER REGRET PAYiNG FOR THE RiGHT TO USE iT. Especially when you can buy 'it' today at '40% Off' the normal prices. [Please excuse the Shouting in Capital Letters]

Sandboxie isn't perfect, but, it really should be - almost, everybody's very first piece of software installed onto a new PC or Notebook.

It's the Ultimate Windows Protection, i.m.h.o.. I just wish I had been told about it - or discovered it, many years ago, as it would have saved me many hours of time spent re-installing software after Virus infections, (as well as a few - less than perfect, Microoft security patches).

A User can run ViRTUALLY ANY PROGRAM including web browsers (Quoted from Sandboxie.com's Full Text Search Results "Chrome 52 is now supported."), in a protected Sandbox of its very own and if you're happy with everything, then Transfer that Program or the bits run in the Sandbox to the normal (un-sandboxed) regions of the computers hard drive.

It is possible to protect you from the very worst Anti-Virus or Malware or Spyware infections, because You can - in effect, simply throw the old sand [read: data] out, and can then start anew.

It's such a simple solution I'm surprised that Microsoft didn't buy the rights and make it an integral part of Windows.

The following is a direct Quote (without formatting) from the Sandboxie home page:

"Sandboxie Supports

Windows 7 through 10
Legacy Operating Systems such as Windows XP and Windows Vista
Available in both 32 and 64 bit versions
All major web browsers; Chrome; FireFox; CyberFox; Opera; IE 6-11 & more
Microsoft office Suite, PDF and Multimedia files
Constantly stay updated with the latest version updates for free
Requires less than 6mb of hard drive space with simple installation"

franp User This is a great product, but I left using it several years ago when the developer decided to force us to a yearly subscription model.
I then switch to Comodo Firewall which includes a sandbox as well.
Now I see that Ssndboxie developer offers perpetual licences again, God move. I may give it a new try.
The comodo sansbox is very good for software testing which is may main use anyway.
But Sandboxie is better for continuous use, due to the fact it allows many sandboxies at the same time.

E. Douglas Jensen I bought the 1-pc lifetime license.

However I do not intend to install it immediately, I'm monitoring the forum regarding incompatibility and workarounds for Office 365, anti-malware, etc.

I assume that, unlike the 1-year license, it doesn't matter when I get around to installing it.

Please advise me if that is an incorrect assumption, because if it is, I will go back to Cleverbridge for a refund.

Sandboxie @Framp User Sandboxie was acquired in 2013. The yearly subscription model remains- as do the Lifetime models. However, with development costs, etc, we are unsure how long that may last. We don't charge for updates, etc. But as more features are added and dev costs mount, pricing can, and will, change. The yearly model is an industry standard. We need resources to continue dev with all the changes that occur daily.

Sandboxie E Douglas - Office 365/2016 and all click to run versions are only for use in the paid version. As for antivirus, antimalware. Well, Why would you need it if you're running a Sandbox? We have many 3rd party programs we work with, but again, we will not compromise SBIE for 3rd party security than cannot match Sandboxie in isolation and containment. For known conflicts, go here http://www.sandboxie.com/...nConflicts You need to make a decision, proven isolation and security with an industry leader, or antiquated AV, security products you must constantly update? It's pretty simple.

E. Douglas Jensen I just bought the license--doesn't that mean I have a paid version?
Aug 23 2016 at 5:46am Copy Link

Sandboxie Yes, that's the paid version. We have over 4.5 million users. As for Office 365/2016/2013, C2R versions will run only in the paid version. Usually, anything after mid 2013 is C2R, you'll need to work with Microsoft to determine what you may have. If you're using the shareware version of SBIE, and standard version of 2013, 2010, 2007 will work. Most issues with Sandboxie is related to 3rd party security products that will not work. Kaspersky is one. They have failed Sandbox code in their product that blocks SBIE. We've been in touch with them for over a year, but they have done nothing to address it. Other 3rd party security products work, but a few may need to be setup correctly. Sandboxie recommends Windows Defender if you choose to use an AV product with SBIE.

Lito Quick question regarding the licensing, I bought this last time 3 computer lifetime. I have a dual boot system (win 7 & win 10) if I install this on both OSes do I use 2 of the licenses up or just one since it's on the same hardware?

Tortuga @Sandboxie Hello :)
I am confused !!
In the 'Fine Print' the Policy states Lifetime free upgrades.
But near the prices there is this note:
--the one year countdown begins after the product key is first activated. So, if you buy two licenses you can wait to activate the second until the first has expired--
Sorry, I don't understand. If it's Lifetime, what's up w the "1 year countdown"?
Appreciate a clarification on this. Thanks in advance

Peace

Sandboxie Steve Smith. That's not part of this promo. BD requests what products to offer. What is here is part of their promotion.

@lito depends on how often that happens. The activation server monitors all activations, etc. every 180 days it renews. it does risk being flagged. You'd then have to email support. We generally follow licensing terms of Microsoft and others. Usually it's not a problem.

Sandboxie Key is active once you activate it. Upgrades are free to paid and shareware users. Features cost money (forced programs, folders, nag screen, multiple active sandboxes, and office 365 c2r support) as well as any add on features we add. However, pricing major product updates may change. As of right night every update is free. Minor and major. But the future is unknown. Your license key is active one you use it. It then reactivates every 180 days. To validate the key and the associated hardware. Other questions, email supportsandboxie.com

Sandboxie Technically, all licenses. Yearly or lifetime "renew" every 180 days. This is required. That clock does not start until your first use that license. You are given ONE license. Even in the 3 pack. It's the same license. We do not give out individuals licenses Per machine. This was a decision by Invincea and the payment processor to streamline activations.

van zan Great, installed ran IE in sandboxie didn't even get a chance to download anything to test, proceeds to blue screen, bad pool exception. I think I will stick to VMware workstation to sandbox, sure it's overkill, but beats marginal kernel mode software interoperability's.. $20 for a stable sandbox did sound too good to be true

Sandboxie Sandboxie isn't meant for you to INSTALL programs in. Some can be for testing. Not all can be, especially IE. Drivers and servers cannot be installed in a Sb. That's how it protects you from
Most ransomware. We've never said we are a VM. You run the program "as sandboxed."" Changes then are isolated. Chrome, FF and others can be. Not IE. Sandboxie is a isolation container, not a VM. If your want IE installed, and that requires Windows, you cannot do that In Sb. Sb will block access to Windows parts IE may need. IE is installed as part of Windows. Run if as sandboxed. Not a separate install. If IE becomes infected, etc you simply delete the contents of that Sb. IE on your host in perfectly fine. Malware, infections are gone. As they are deleted as well. Please understand the product. For browsers we've tested installed in lot the SB, go here http://forums.sandboxie.c...11&t=21974

Sandboxie VMware workstation and SBIE are 2 completely different products. SBIE is not a VM. SBIE is an isolation container. A sandbox.
You're confusing product intentions.
If you want a full VM, then VMware, etc is what you want. SBIE works inside of a VM. That's how we test OS with SBIE.

Wade Townsend Hi, what about Ransomware, which as you know is a big problem today?? Will SB prevent my computer from getting infected or will it work with an Anti-Ransomware product such as WinAntiRansom that I do have installed on both of my computers...
In addition will this product work with Zemana Anti-Logger?
Thanks.

E. Douglas Jensen @Sandboxie: So from your post above, do I expect that when I install SB, if I want it to work with my Office365/16 I will be asked by SB to pay for an add-on for that? I don't mind, I just want to know.

These price changes that may come wont affect the lifetime licenses in anyways in future.. am i right? These are literally lifetime for all future updates and upgrades? Major and minor?

Arlene Manduca Thanks for your reply.

I discovered that a while ago when I purchased a lifetime license for three computers and it said that on the site. Very smart and streamlined way to do it. Most other programs have separate versions. I'd heard about your software for a few years now.

Looking forward to using it and avoiding problems! Thank you. :)

DiggerP @ Wade Townsend,

Just jumping in here - Why not do a quick check with
the trial version from the Sandboxie website ?

My own experience is that a malware - or AV program will alert you
what arrives in the Sandbox and will delete it or ask to be deleted,

I've been attacked more than a dozen times and "not a scratch"
I'm just laughing at the attacks - Close the browser and empty Sandbox.
Or just empty SB - if you can't close the browser.

Don't know about compatibility with Zemana, but that's what your trial is for.

Good luck

Flavius CRISTE Can a license be transferred to another computer if it's going to be sold? Do I need to reactivate if I change or add some hardware? I'm really interested in buying a new lifetime license.

Sandboxie You simply
Activate the license on the new machine. As long as you are abiding by the license terms. If you run into issues, you can email Sandboxie support and we can quickly fix it.

Could you please tell me if
I am allowed to use the same license on both OS of a dual boot machine?
The same question goes for an OS with a VM.
Thanks for taking your time to elaborate the matter.
