Working with email should be more than just a necessary evil of today's modern lifestyle. If you've got used to the standard email client that came preinstalled on your computer, it's time to move to a platform that makes email more enjoyable, productive, and efficient. Today's discount software promotion for Windows does just that - it's called The Bat! Professional Edition.

The Bat! Professional Edition is an email client that transforms your email experience, with useful features that make email simple and convenient. First of all, The Bat! Professional Edition supports a wide array of authentication protocols and encryption methods, ensuring that your company's secrets remain secret and that your competitive advantage is secure. Additionally, The Bat! Professional Edition also features robust anti-virus defense, leveraging the power of its own integrated HTML viewer to stop executing malicious code that can be served via web page content. And by opting to purchase the Professional Edition, you get even better features that include spell checker dictionaries, multilingual interfaces, hardware authentication for mail servers, message base encryption, and even biometric authentication!

Do you want to be more efficient? Well, think about how much time you spend sorting email - now think about reclaiming all of that time by just setting up a few rules in The Bat! Professional Edition. Just set sorting rules, and your incoming, outgoing, and read email will automatically be directed to the appropriate folder. You also get the benefits of custom templates, auto-response, confirmations, and the ability to run external programs. Take it to the next level with custom message templates that are triggered in response to unique events. Quick templates cut down on the amount of typing you need to do, by automatically filling in frequently used text snippets. The Bat! Professional Edition even features integrated backup and restore for each mailbox that you manage.

If you have a license for The Bat! Pro, you can also take advantage of The Bat! Voyager, the portable version of The Bat! You can download The Bat! Voyager at the Ritlabs website.

Thanks to its ability to import messages from a huge roster of email clients, including Outlook, Outlook Express, Pegasus Mail, Eudora, and Netscape, there's no reason not to switch to The Bat! Professional Edition as your primary email client today!

DH007 If I buy today, will I be granted a free upgrade to a new version? Last time when offered here a new version was released right after a grace/free upgrade period which made Bdj users buying actually a "dead horse".

Ritlabs, SRL @riad af, The Bat! is able to send reading and receipt confirmations. See the "Options\...\" menu in the message editor window. If you need to send such requests to certain or all recipients, then you can customize that by the means of the respective macros in the message templates.
Currently The Bat! does not support right-to-left script writing.

DH007 Are you able to import eM client data without any inter steps?

Ritlabs, SRL @DH007, in The Bat! there is no direct option to import data from eM Client, however it is still possible to import emails from eM Client's database manually via the menu "Tools\Import Messages\From UNIX-mailboxes". Select the respective database file and the emails will get imported.

Jonathan Prusky I am having trouble SENDING mail via the Yahoo SMTP servers. If i can't get this working, can I get a refund?

Password authentication seems to work for RECEIVING messages (it shows a message count and Yahoo-based folders), but I don't see the actual messages.

Fletch Currently importing 18 gb of PST history. PITA that I have to keep "allowing" access to Outlook in 10 minute intervals.

1. Any chance other parts of the UI will allow adjustable font sizes like the Folder and Message view currently allow anytime soon? On a 4k screen even at 150 DPI the menu and other dialogs like search have impossibly small text.

2. How does search work? Brute force - or is some index maintained?

I have a 20+ year investment in PST files and efficient ways to quickly search through them. But these days Outlook itself has so much overhead embedded in the UI that it's just terribly slow to navigate and use on a daily basis. So a lightweight but powerful client is tempting.

I'm also concerned about yet another proprietary file format with presumably even fewer tools that can parse it.

3. Synchronizing. I see there is some kind of synchronization supported but don't understand how it works. How would you keep a desktop/laptop setup synchronized? Especially in a scenario where you delete or move an email on the laptop (while away) and want the same thing to happen when you return and initiate a sync. Assume I only use POP. Just making sure items missing on one side get synced to the other is only a partial sync.

kydara Website says if you purchased before June 2021 you can upgrade for 70% off but when you go to the purchase page it only offers a $10 discount which is not even 20% off.

Ritlabs, SRL @Jonathan Prusky, try using an app specific password for your Yahoo account in The Bat! If you still encounter issues, please contact us directly via the Customer Support Center https://www.ritlabs.com/en/support/ and provide us with the connection log from the menu "Account\View Log".

Ritlabs, SRL @Fletch, on a 4K monitor we believe one should use at least 200% scaling. There used to be an option in Windows to allow increasing the font of the menus, but its gone.
The Message Finder does not have any indices and carries out the search process using different methods depending on the search criteria.
The Bat! stores emails in MESSAGES.TBB files which can be viewed even with Notepad. Then you can copy/paste a message including the headers into a .txt file, change the extension to .eml and import it into any email client. Moreover, there are third-party utilities which can extract emails from .tbb files.
Synchronization works rather as adding missing data, it does not delete data in the target database if the source database had that deleted as there is no way to know what had been deleted in the source and therefore needs to be deleted in the target database too.
In the latest The Bat! v9.4.4 there is no need to click into the body of an HTML-message to be able to scroll its contents using a mouse. Just select a message in the message list and scroll its contents right away.

Fletch @Ritlabs - thanks for the info. Though 200% is a bit large and starts to take away from the real-estate that 4k provides. Someone has found a hack to access the old menu font settings - I need to experiment with that. I can REALLY appreciate though ALL the other places you have added the option to change the font. I touched EVERY one of those :-)

BTW, I'm running 9.4.4 and I still have to click in the body of HTML messages to scroll them. Wait, that's on Win7. Win10 works. I had a full Outlook test harness setup on a WIn7 VM so that's where I started with testing the LARGE imports. Problem solved.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the TBB file usage you suggested does not apply if I chose to encrypt, right? But if my disk is encrypted to begin with, I guess I really don't need to use that option.

Ritlabs, SRL @Fletch, in case you use the on-the-fly message base encryption in The Bat! the first letter of the files' extension is replaced with an "e", so .tbb turns into .ebb. Since the data file is encrypted there is no way to view its contents other than in The Bat!'s interface after entering the master password on the program's startup. If your disk is encrypted, then, obviously, you can keep The Bat!'s database non-encrypted.

Fletch updates to my prior post for clarity

Win10 has native text size setting that DOES help with menus in The Bat!. My experience is that many apps use (probably custom/non-standard) menus that this setting will work with. You DO, excellent!

Dialog fonts are still small. But, they're not used daily so not as much of a pain. Maybe Win 11 might offer more tricks.

Testing now with a newer Outlook, not 2013, so Import of 18Gb of PST data is smooth and seamless - no more prompts from Outlook to allow The Bat! permissions.
