I have to say you make some great products and thank you for this one, but with all due respect, and do consider this as constructive criticism; your GUI's really seem like they are designed by very young people. . .appearance is very important in these days. Again though the products are very well done.

Hi,
I ran into a small glitch at checkout.
While I have downloaded the software, I did not get the confirmation email
The reason is the glitch in my email address at checkout.
it went through incorrectly.

Repurchasing didn't work, because the system picks up the name,
but not the correct email address - hence resending didn't work either

Please advise

Back again - sorry ,
The problem has been resolved.
Tried a different browser and made sure all info was correct.

Already received confirmation email.- (Within 10 seconds) All is well :)

@ Heidi -Ann - if you can - Try the same approach if resend
didn't work. Also check your spamfolder.

I had cleared browser cache in the 1st browser but didn't work.Using a browser that hadn't seen BDJ today worked like a charm.

Make sure all info is correct.

a. Can you help, please, choose between SHAREDDRIVE and (your) CRYPTDRIVE? (Any discount for Cryptdrive? - just in case).
b. Do both of them work with Win 10? I see that you list only up to 8.1 and guess your programs will not work for me with Win 10.

Both programs can be used under Windows 10! Please note the restriction described below for abylon CRYPTDRIVE.

Today we only offer the software abylon SHAREDDRIVE. The software abylon CRYPTDRIVE will be available on BDJ sooner or later.

However, the two encryption programs are completely different. The abylon CRYPTDRIVE software is a so-called container solution and requires a driver to access the encrypted data. As only officially signed drivers may be used under 64bit Windows operating systems, our software switches Windows 8 and 10 (64bit) to the so-called test mode. This is the only way to use our driver.
With abylon SHAREDDRIVE this is not necessary. This is an extension for the File Explorer. Since each file is encrypted individually, multi-user access is also possible. Only open files are decrypted, all others remain encrypted.

I hope this explains the differences as much as possible. Apart from that, we offer a comparative overview of all our encryption products on our German homepage. Here the automatic translation:

with the software abylon BASIC, all files of a folder can be encrypted in one step using right mouse button of the File Explorer. If the password (or hardware key) is identical, this also works with decryption. All files are encrypted individually and can be processed individually.
We do not offer full disk encryption.

First, I just want to say thank you for checking in here and replying to questions. It is always great when someone representing the software developer does that. It is a very good reflection on the company!

One question. I regularly back up my files to an external drive. If my PC crashes, can I gain access to those encrypted file on that drive? Additionally, in the same context, I am hoping to get a new laptop in the next few months. What happens with my encrypted files when moved to the new PC if the software is not installed on that PC?

Aside from that, one suggestion if I may. I find the name "Shareddrive" odd and almost passed on this when I saw it in the daily e-mail as I do not use a shared drive. I believe the name should be more indicative of what it actually does, encrypt files. Not a criticism, just sharing a thought.

Hardy Smifff Hi Thomas. My query about SharedDrive is how does your application work with the BitLocker Drive Encryption in Windows 10, or would using your SharedDrive mean that BitLocker Encryption needs to be turned off?

The official version of our software abylon SHREDDRIVE can be fully tested for 30 days. It is also possible to decrypt encrypted files again. The decryption continues to work after the test phase.
The software must only be installed on the computer, where the access to the encrypted files is planned, for example on the client. From the client on the server, access to the encrypted files (on the server) is via the network.
