When I clicked it, I downloaded an exe file to install. After installing, click the "Try" icon on the registration page at start up. Looks like a keeper for me. Great calendar printing options.

Jester The Amazon's reviews talk about the activation code working only once, but I don't see anything about that in The Fine Print. The section of the review is below.

" I used my code once during the initial installation and and it worked fine. Then I replaced my hard drive in the same computer, copied all the data from the old drive to the new one, and when I tried to run this software, a window popped up that said the activation code had been used too many times and I would need another activation code. I stress - I used the activation code once and I did not give it to anyone.
There is nothing on their website about this - nothing in the help files. There is also no deactivate option on the old copy to allow activation on the new hard drive..."

Please tell us about the activation process. I also noted that the price is the same at Amazon.

Why don't you contact their support? They will usually reactivate your serial if you tell them why you need it done.

Celso Flores I bought this this morning. It sounds really good and it could be but it isn't. It's main feature is Sync - it doesn't work. It brings back 1 contact 12 times and other not at all. Calendars looked OK at first but it has randomly chosen about 2/3 of my calendars to import and left the rest even though they are from the same calendar. The interface is very childish and looks like something from the early 90s. It's formatted to USA not UK so you use States and Zips, you can't change this. The print envelope prints Jones, Mr A or if you put all your data in backwards it prints Mr, A Jones. It has also twice closed itself for no apparent reason and often brings up a box asking me to select a contact. The box is empty and when I click the cancel button it asks me to choose a calendar to sync? This is really poor software!

Gonzo Some regular details are not listed in The Fine Print tab:
-What's the Updates/Upgrades policy?
-Is it licensed per user/per computer/other?
-Does it require activation? Hardware footprint?
-How many computers can I install this on? Can I move it from one computer to another?

Additionally question if the following features are already implemented or may
be on the roadmap for future updates:

1.possibility to have appointments/events as todos with checklist for "done"
(perhaps to choose if one also wants to have them listed under todos)

2.or to have the possibility to have todos like events being scheduled (from date/hour/minutes to date/hour/minutes)

3.allowing not only groups but also subgroups

4.longterm suggestion: allowing statistic for events / todos being done or not

Christopher J. Spilker Hi, this product is mediocre. I have used nearly every edition since version 1 in the 1990's.

Text input & control is non-Windows standard and does not conform {ex., Ctrl+A, Ctrl+S and many others not supported}. Scrolling {as in the Notes section}, not supported. After all these years, one would think these idiosyncrasies would have been addressed.
.
The worst is that you could be creating a new scheduled event and it deletes itself during event creation, may actually delete another event on the same day, or completely deletes the Notes you were making once you invoked Save after clicking O.K. on the event. I make long, copious notes and have learned to copy the entire Notes section to Clipboard BEFORE I click O.K. & CTRL+S.

The company, Individual Software, seems disinterested in addressing these issues {I have brought a few to their attention}.
.
I still use this as I have a LOT of information in it, years {18+} invested and have not found an alternate product that carries all my Notes over appropriately.
.
It can be a useful utility for light users and has it good points. Once you aware of it frailties, you can work around them.

L. D. User Two brief questions,

1) Does this also work on Windows Vista? Along with Windows XP, 7, 8 + 10... as Vista is not included in the list above of supported Windows platforms.

And aside from several Windows 7 and 10 PCs, I'd also like to put a copy of this on an old Windows Vista computer that's still running and which I still use on a reasonably regularly basis.

2) Is this a per 'user' License, or a per 'computer' License? In other words... how many computers will each purchased License permit me to install this on?

Waiting on an answer (hopefully)...

I tried to find the answer to the same questions you have. The older comments have more information than the developer's website does. Another previous comment mentioned the Amazon storefront for the individualsoftware.com products, including AnyTime Organizer Deluxe (AOD). Their store on Amazon has a lot more information, including lots of reviews by users (some users love it, and some users hate it). If the license is the same as in the past, it can be installed on three different operating systems, whether that takes place on three separate computers, or on the same computer with the operating system replaced three separate times.

AnyTime Organizer Deluxe has the same features that the Standard edition does, except the Deluxe edition can sync with other event calendars (Google, etc.). AOD seems to have most of the features that others offer, such as C-Organizer Pro, which sells for the same retail price as a portable application, but not on sale here at BitsDuJour.

I have been trying to see how to set recurring events in AOD but I have not found that information.

I need to see the "History of changes" before I can make a purchase. If I could locate that, I would gamble on the AnyTime Organizer Deluxe software. If not, then it is a miss.

Individual Software Support @Gary Smith - If you have an event or To Do item that occurs regularly, such as a weekly meeting or changing the oil in your car, enter it once as a repeating event.
To repeat an event or To Do item:
1. From the Day Planner, double-click the event or To Do item to display the Details dialog box, or right-click either one and select Details.
2. Click the Repeat button to display the Repeat Item dialog box. Select a time period, such as Month by Date, and click the OK button.
Repeat daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. If you set an event to repeat over consecutive days, such as Monday through Friday, this event will print in a repeating event bar if you select the Month Planner layout.

The problem with the recurring event feature in AnyTime Organizer is that it is a limited simple approach. For example, the Kentucky Derby is the first Saturday in May. For 2021, the Kentucky Derby is May 1st. Suppose I want to have an event that takes place on the Wednesday before the Kentucky Derby. For 2021, that would be April 28th. In some years, it would be in May. For example, for 2022, the Kentucky Derby will be on May 7th. The Wednesday before will be May 4th. To calculate the Wednesday date, I need to first know what the 1st Saturday of May is, then subtract 3 days. AnyTime Organizer does not have a way to subtract a number of days before a calculated date. Do you agree?

Ideally, I should be able to add or subtract a number of days from any calculated date. This need occurs for many events. When is the Saturday before Mother's Day? Because the calendar shifts, that Saturday cannot be calculated any other way. It has to be based on the date of Mother's Day first.

Many christian holidays are based on a number of days before or after Easter. Can AnyTime Organizer even calculate when Easter is?

One final thing, where is the list of changes?

HOWEVER:
1) The documentation provided to prospective buyers is woefully inadequate.
The number of devices on which one license permits install is not mentioned.
Upgrade policy is missing.
The EULA is not provided (on the BitsDuJour page and on the home site).
2) I had to purchase to obtain the EULA in order to discover that each llicense allows allows install on 2 computers.
3) Even after purchase no information on upgrade policy is provided.
