Justine Jordan The policy confuses me. It says it is licensed per user but then it says "each license allows installation on 1 computer..." I am guessing that the single installation is an error but I would appreciate clarification.

Phil Tobin 'S all right, I guess, sticking a front end on Open Source software and raking in a commercial profit, but it certainly isn't all right to dump into my tray icons for ffdshow audio decoder, and ffdshow video decoder, and Haali media splitter without an exit point for any of 'em just because the coding of Bigasoft YouTube Downloader is so utterly inept.

Thanks for the offer, but uninstalled.

Rick Truell Phil Tobin: I think it's also telling that the ffdshow decoders and the media splitter are being run at all. The program is supposed to be *downloading* the videos; ffdshow decoders are only used to *play* videos, not download them.

Personally, I use the free Firefox extension "Video DownloadHelper" to download videos from YouTube and other places. It works good and I've had no problems with it. Of course, it's only useful if one uses Firefox to browse the web...but then, shouldn't everybody? :-)
