Because they want to know the kinds of professionals that are receiving their free e-books. And you don't have to "always" give your data...just fill out the form once and they remember you from one e-book to another; at least, they do for me. And I would **never** **ever** suggest doing something like filing out the form with fake data, particularly for the parts that don't apply (ie. information about the company you work for when you're an individual and don't work for a company). Just make sure you give a valid e-mail address, as once you've submitted the request for the e-book, they send you an e-mail with the link you use to actually get the e-book.
