R W Hi there,

Does this have the ability to add your own tube sites to search? If not, I have no interest. If yes, I will be buying it. So, if you don't have that feature it might be time to add it. :)

Jim Buchanan [I do not post things like this very often because I don't want to get banned but I also know that this will get back to the company]
Okay, I bought it in order to see if it is any good. And then I start to install it. Everything goes according to plan until I do something I don't normally do. i clicked on a button which said "Advanced". Lo and behold in order to install the program I have to:
"Make easylifeapp my homepage and new tab"
AND
"Make easylifeapp my default search engine"
I tried to uncheck them but it would not install unless I "OBEYED".
The same thing was done by ZoneAlarm when I updated my wife's computer. But they were not sneaky about it. They did not hide it behind an "advanced" button.
Even though I know how to reverse the effects of those two items I'm not sure I can trust a company who is devious at the very start. I'm not sure I will install it now. I've decided to stop the install. There goes 2 years of support I also paid for. It means I've lost $20.00 CDS but that is the price I have to pay for keeping my machine clean. If they are that sneaky what else will they do? Of course I may be wrong but I don't want to take chances.

So for Bits members, be careful.

R W Thank you for the response. It seems to me, as a programmer, that it would be quite simple to allow people to input the search URL for a given tube site and allow them to search whatever they wanted.

If you even get around to this, please let me know. In the mean time, I knocked together something in PHP that allows me to do the searching across whatever sites I input the parameters for. I don't need the conversion portion, so I guess all is well, but it would still be nice to be able to use it from the desktop as opposed to having to install XAMPP on any machine you wish to search from.

Love the program. Love it. Please, in the next version, make it possible for people to search what they want to search instead of what you tell them they have to be limited to.

Jim Buchanan Dear Mr. Engelmann
I have done as you said and scanned my computer for adware using AdAware. It did find some infected files but as of yet I do not know what files were infected because AdAware did not tell me what the files were or what they were called. It just quarantined them and I'm left guessing. They mention a log but I can't find it.
Anyway, I think I just might owe you and your company a big apology for my rant.
My apology.
I have now downloaded 2 files from your website:
mytubebigpack5.exe 40482 KB and
mytube5.exe also 40482 KB
And I did this using the same button about 5 minutes apart which confuses me and makes me suspicious that I've messed up again.
AdAware say both are not infected. Would you please tell me which one is the one I paid for?
