SoftCollector Looks impressive feature-wise, although the interface has been designed with the absolute computer novice in mind.

1. I ran into an installation problem – a web*.dll failed to register and a message came up advising me to turn to support personnel. Which support personnel by the way?
2. The trial version takes quite some time to register with multiple actions needed to: ask for, receive, apply, confirm, etc. the trial serial sent. This should be simplified or else you will be driving away potential customers.
3. The trial version does not allow one to test the software in full. Vital functions are disabled, so then it is difficult to decide whether the software works as advertised or not, therefore it is difficult to make a resolution to buy. Please, consider allowing potential customers to test BIG PACK's full functionality for a limited period of time instead.

4. The exact name and location of the file refusing to register is: InstallFiles: File: webmsplit.dll, Directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\, Size: 292352 The problem happens under Windows XP Pro SP3
5. I tried to re-install the software to fix the non-register issue, having closed my Agnitum IS beforehand. Alas, it happened again. So most probably, this is an issue at your end, not mine.
6. Also: the note (and automatic opening of IE) to update Adobe Flash player appeared at the second installation as well. Please, add a check, so that customers are not required to perform time consuming and ultimately – not needed – actions, which have been performed 20 minutes earlier.
7. Also: immediately after the installation, it turns out that there is an update available. Why is this update not part of the installation file offered to customers after the purchase (which is my current state)?
8. Even after this additional installation is performed there is a line at the top of the interface with a greyed out button 'update now' and old and new versions showing identical values. It would be better not to show this line if no update is actually pending.
9. Once installed as a trial version, it seems there is no way to register your software with a serial.
10. Your software is called Big Pack and your company is called Engelmann Media GmbH, so why is the software installed and listed under a folder named S.A.D ? This obviously makes it more difficult to locate. Please, choose either your software's or your company's name for the name of said installation folder.

Regarding the Adobe Flash Player: This is a problem with Adobe. It works most of the year, but sometimes they have problems. On my personal system I had the same problem around two weeks ago each time I tried to open youtube. After a few days this problem was gone.

And the update: We are updating this software regulary, sometimes even 3 or 4 times per week. Because of support reasons it is still possible to update the software manually - even if the latest version is already installed. E.g. if a firewall blocks our software.

S.A.D. is a partner from us and they help us with selling this software.

Still the most important question remains unanswered: I have input my serial number and the software still asks me to register and the premium options are still locked.

Kenneth Bates Why does the installer program insist on installing Adobe Reader v.11?
Adobe.com reports that my version 10.1.4.38 is up to date. I have had a virus check done on My Tube BigPack and Kaspersky reports that it is clean, so what kind of funny business is going on?

Brenda Gann As SoftCollector says, too many steps to register the software. You can't test most of the functions before buying.

I pasted a YouTube URL.. it displayed a wrong file and the right file. I would think that YouTube would not be using the same link for multiple files. On the next one, it again brought up the same wrong file, and the second file was also not the one I had pasted. I would think if I pasted a link, it would only show the file the link was for.

There are several items that say "this portal cannot be searched at the moment".

The info says "Find, play, download, manage, and convert videos to offline formats" Where do I manage what I have downloaded, or does manage only refer to being able to download multiple files?

I am looking for software that will allow me to have a list of what I have downloaded so I won't download more than once. Also, be able to download a video and convert it to other formats without having to redownload it for each format.

George Cohen This offer is confusing. The website indicates two versions; free and (premium). I made this purchase believing I was purchasing the premium version. Not the case as the software states I need to purchase the premium. So what I actually purchased is a bit of a mystery to me.

Brenda Gann When I select to add the video I have downloaded to a play list, it does not appear to do anything. I had to manually load it into the player to play it. Even then, it had no sound. Its not my system because all the other video converters I have tested I have not had any problems with.

SoftCollector It seems that George above has the same problem as me. Either we are not buying the Premium version here (in which case I would like to ask for my money back), or BigPack is very flawed and cannot recognize its own serial, in which case it is a no-go as well.

To Ulrich: please, confirm what version is being sold as part of this promotion.

LN108 I just purchased, it installed fine, it accepted the serial number with no problem, the premium version was activated, I was not asked to install any Adobe product.

My only question: In the "Serial Number Management" window, it says, "Valid 12/15/2012-12/15/2013." Does my license expire in one year? Why the "Activate new serial number" box?

The software includes one year free updates. But you can use the software forever.

@Brenda Gann: You only need to enter your full serial and there are no more steps needed. Regarding YouTube, please contact our support team at office@engelmann.com and tell them how we can reproduce this. We update our software very often and we are always interested in videos that make problems. We are testing our technology automatically three times per day, but can't test e.g. the whole YouTube page. Thank you in advance!

Brenda Gann I don't want to invest any more time in it unless I know it can do what I want. I cannot find any info on what is meant by "management". It seems to only refer to the fact that you can download multiple files at the same time. I already have plenty of software for free that allows me to download and convert files. I had no problems with these other programs.

I did not have a problem with the serial number for the trial.

I am looking for software that can download youtube files, and convert to multiple formats without me having to download it each time so it can be converted. Also to keep some kind of list of what I have downloaded so I know what I already have. It does not appear that MyTube BigPack can do this.

Search for a video, right click on the result and add it directly to the download list or play list.

If you go to the download list, you can add it automatically to the video or audio conversion list, please take a look a the options directly under the video URL.

Once a file is in the conversion list, you can convert the file as often you want. You don't need to reload it again.

Jon User Ulrich, I downloaded the demo and after 30 mins of testing decided to go for it.

This is a very nicely done product. It will be a useful addition to my video toolbox. The interface is simple and clear, searches were extremely fast, video and audio conversions all worked well. The built-in trim function will also be helpful in my workflow.

This is a bargain at today's discount and the licensing was quick & easy.

The few questions I had were answered in the excellent help utility except one. Are your codecs internal to your packaging or will they be affected by updates to codecs with K-Lite or others?

Great that you like our software. Our codecs are internal. In rare cases codec packs affect our software, but only for files we don't support directly. For the most common files we deliver own codecs.

Amit 1) Can we download videos with no automatic conversion - i really think conversion should be an option only and not compulsary.

2) Also can we specify the video quality and format for each video - eg. if I want to download only a 480 FLV - of some videos that are in higher 720p quality too - then is that possible ?

3) Search for a particular keyword - when done - then results are limited to 10 only - or we can get more results too - like say 60 ?

1) Sure! Simply add the links to the download list and not to the conversion lists!

2) Since we offer a batch download, this is not easy to realize. But if you want the highest available resolution, simply add this option.

3) Yes, you can set the maximum number of results in the main dialog.

However is there really no way to specify less or desired quality (like 480P FLV) - if I say only download not in batch - but one by one - if not there - would like to add a request for the same in future version (An option for desired quality to be downloaded for some userchosen videos - as it is really present in all other downloaders)

Kenneth Bates Installed the trial, following all the instructions. When I double-click on the icon all I get is a message saying that the program has stopped working. From the other posts it seems that some of you have managed to get the program to do something - even if you still have complaints. For me, I shall not go ahead with a purchase.

Brenda Gann Thanks for the response.

I did not purchase the program because I wanted to test it first. All that I see under downloading videos is "Download Best Quality, Add to playlist, add to audio list, add to video list" When I downloaded the first time I did not notice these choices. I could not find a way to do anything with what I downloaded except play it. I checked all the options and downloaded again. I can get a conversion to start but I do not know how to change it off of Windows Media. Maybe because I have the trial version.

I asked what was offered for managing videos and that part of my question was not answered. As I said I have plenty of software that downloads for free. If there is no management in this software there is no reason for me to purchase it.

From what Amit says, the user is forced to convert the download. I want to be able to save the highest resolution possible with NO conversion. Then to be able to convert it into various formats without having to redownload.

I sent an email to support as requested and I have not gotten a response yet.

It is not necessary to convert videos with our software. You can only download them, simply don’t add the files to one of the integrated conversion lists.In case you wish to convert the downloaded files later, simply load the files from your harddisc to one of the conversion lists.

WMV is the only output format in the trial version. The full version has many more output formats, up to h.264. It's also possible to convert the files to "audio only" files like mp3 or m4a.

Brenda Gann Well I can't try those ideas since I am not going to buy software without being able to try the functions I need first. Also, there are plenty of free programs that do what this software does, and I don't see any advantage that this software has over them. Maybe there is something I am not noticing. I typed management in the help file and got no results.

I understand about the time difference problem.. only problem is the deal is only good for 1 day.

Faisal Humayun I was interested to find an application which could grab entire videos/mp3's from youtube playlists. Unfortunately, this program doesn't appear to do so. Switching over to the freestudio 5.
