Hopefully the Vendor will respond to give clarity, but I clicked on the "purchase professional button" under the HELP menu, after registering the standard version and it did not offer any type of discount to purchase the Professional version.

I do not need the Professional version as I can take the final file from the standard version and run it through one of my video editors to add animated objects or music, but it would be nice to have access to those features in the initial steps.

Nonetheless, it is a very nice FREEBIE from Nusoft and BDJ.

Con Fused Kind of confusing because it *does* allow the pro version feature of adding music but (I'm guessing) it's some sort of trial.

Robert Reese Fair Warning: Notice that this software is locked to a machine, and can never be transferred. Once you have a new machine, or your make a significant change to yours, this software cannot be installed on it, and you'll have to buy it again.

This is more an indefinite free trial rather than a proper license.

@ Amit: Any "Non-Linear Editor" (NLE) will suffice. There are plenty of freebie NLEs out there that will work fine.

After downloading and installing I find this is NOT the case! Yes you can add snow and/or rain, can't add any other objects. You can add sounds. Not good enough. False advertising!

Hi...can you clarify the licencing?.Does the software allow you to deactivate ,and transfer to another machine where you can reactivate or is it totally one machine dependent ,which is what you seem to be saying?

Robert Reese @ Ellison: It is totally one-machine dependent. You can, according to the policy tab on the above right, simultaneously use it on one desktop and one laptop concurrently, but that's it. Dead machine equals dead license.

Ive downloaded and trying the standard as we speak.I dont think I would purchase or upgrade,with that type of licensing.Deactivate and reactivate I could perhaps put up with ,but one machine dependent is too restrictive ..imo.

Regarding the licensing, if you use a new computer or the code failed to work. Just let us know and we would be happy to issue a new code for you =)
By the way, it's very few occasion the code will locked up unless it use extensively.
Hope this clarify the registration key issue.

As we receive many requests for upgrade to Professional edition, we would send you another email regarding the upgrade after today promotion ends.

Slyxie I have used this software before and it does a great job in bringing your pictures to life. Has the ability to add different effects like moving water, fire, etc to a picture also built in objects like butterflies, birds etc, and you can add your own graphics and sounds. Its an all around great program for those who like to express themselves artistically or just have some plain fun with your own nature pictures or any graphics for that matter.

Pauleduc Can't install the product.. getting an error when trying to install file \NuSoft\WaveSetting.ini. Tried downloading the program again in case it was corrupted, also tried installing the program as administrator.. still fails to install.

Any suggestions?

Pam Ireland I just tried this program; todays download does not let you add the objects, deer or other animals, you do get the weather effects but to use the others they want you to upgrade to the professional app.
My opinion is it is a half truth.

carol herman I downloaded this and played with it. Although I registered it, and gotr a message showing it was registered, I have a message at bottom that this is a trial version.

I tried using objects (birds) but was given a message that I had to upgrade to use that version. The example on this page shows objects as available. Given the limitations I find that this program does very little.

I installed the Standard version, then tried to "throw in some butterflies, birds...." Ie, objects, but received a message that I have to upgrade to a pro version. Please explain why the program review above advertises inclusion of objects in the Standard version, but the installed and registered Standard version does not allow the use of objects.

Is there a problem with my installation or is the version offered Standard cripple-ware? I will reinstall and re-register if the issue appears to be my installation.

Stuart Clarke Derek Lee obviously has a hard job, figuring out something fresh and new to say about every piece of software BDJ offers. In this instance though, a bit of research would have saved Derek some of the creative effort he's expended:

because all that talk of "throwing in" butterflies and birds, and adding sound, is . . . Wrong.

This version of Nature Illusion Studio isn't so much 'standard' as downright basic: no animations, no sound -- a fact BDJers pointed out the last time this was offered, and yet here we are again with the same inaccurate description.

Mind you, I'm glad I'm spared the Attack of Butterflies from Outer Space: as a promo video, that's about one of the worst I've yet seen from any developer.
Thanks, BDJ, but there are better animated wallpaper makers than this.

Robert Snith Does NOT let you copy and paste reregistration number in. Makes you have to do it manually. Have NEVER come across a program that makes you do it this way. What a pain and for that I will NOT USE IT!!!!

Barry Monohon I downloaded this and tried to save a pic as an .avi which is an option in the program.It loaded about 10ffdShow icons in my toolbar with a suspicious Nero Search feature. After that every time I started up my system all of the icons,cursor and pages had ripples in them.I did a full uninstall and it left my entire desktop shaky and unreadable even after restoring my graphics card and monitor display.I contacted the company but no reply to the problem.my recommendations beware this program.

TonyS Registering after install asks for Name as well as Reg. Key. Pasted key from email but there's no indication of required user's name. Email lists first/last name and email address on one line. Entered names, e-address, bitsdujour, and even xyz.

"Registration successful" appears seemingly indicating Name is not significant. However, "Trial Version - Unregistered" is noted in lower left corner of program.

Is it registered or not and do I need another name to make it so?
