Nebulous User I am sorry, but this seems silly. But I may well be misunderstanding something. Please explain.

Outlook provides the ability to export Contacts to CSV without much trouble. Here are instructions:

Atalay Tan I agree with @Nebulous User. It seems unnecessary and inadequate. There is no screenshots, there is no explanation about which operation system 32 or 64 bit it supports. It doesn't support Outlook 2010 or 2013 either.

Bruno Verschraegen I can see a use for it because the programme also extracts email addresses from email folders, not only from the contacts folder (for which, indeed, no programme is required).

But does it really not support 2010 version of Outlook? I can understand 2013, because it is new - but 2010 has been on the market for years now.

Ernest Kennedy To my knowledge windows vista and windows se7en do not have outlook or outlook express but has windows mail as native email client with an option to install windows live which has windows live mail client incorporated within it. So my main question here is "does this program actually work with either windows mail or windows live mail email clients.? Can someone please clarify this.?"

we are working for Outlook Express version include in this software.

Phil Tobin Not wishing to fall out with Derek Lee, who does a sterling writing job every day in conveying the purpose and facilities of discounted software, but, but. . . A great many of us have most certainly *not* lived with Outlook for a very long time. We found it too big, too clunky, too much.

Nor have we lived with Outlook Express for a long time, either: it was revised and revamped as Windows Mail from Vista onwards (and that *is* a long time ago: January, 2007 -- which is why I'm just a little baffled at the developer's comment here that they're still working on an Outlook Express version, six whole *years* after Outlook Express ceased to be part of the Windows OS.)

So -- to echo Ernest's earlier question here -- does this software work with Windows Mail and, if so, how does it differ from the export / backup facility built into Windows Mail? Thanks.

gringoviejo49 I am one of those D"Dinosaurs" that uses Outlook Expres.

Unfortunately, the person representing the Softward company stated that they were readying the Program to work with Outlook Ewxpress, before it's release.

Well, it does not recognioze it and to top it off, upon Install Igot this message:

The program Loads, after the error message is ignored, but it is useless.

To top it all off, I went to the website, and found out that there is a yearly charge to keep using this software. I never saw that on this BitsDuKour's site.

This is the very first time I have ever had any problem dealing with ANY software that I have obtained through "BitsDuJour".

Ben Stock Thank you. I just tried it out. I get error message [Outlook object cannot be initiated. Contact customer service emall address given.- Outlook 2010 32 bit here] So I clicked on Help and was taken online to a Thunderbird extractor page. Back to using trusty freeware Outlook Email Adddress Extractor by Peter van Eeckhoutte. It scrapes email, selectable by sender, recipient, body text, and also scrapes calendars. Simply finds @ sign anywhere you tell it to look and makes a text file of every @ and the characters on either side to the space. I use it once a month then move inbox contents to another folder.

Phil Tobin Gringoviejo49: Many thanks for flagging up the one-year license policy. That policy should have been stated by the developer on here. Not buried away in a website FAQ. Let's get this clear:

There is not the slightest justification, in any way shape or form, for 12-month time-limited crippleware to be peddled as software.

There is not the slightest justification for this developer to seek an annual licence fee.

There is not the slightest justification for anyone to be daft enough to fall for this.

No matter its extraordinarily clumy title, this software is a product, a product on commercial sale, and when it's sold, that's it. It belongs to the purchaser. Not the developer on a 12-month buy-renew-pay again and pay again basis.

This software can't even mount a defence of, say, a major anti-virus or malware suite which needs constant developer maintenance and thus a cost overhead in addition to that of ongoing R&D. Chinese developer iObit has been daft enough / arrogant enough to try this tactic with some of its software and has succeeded only in driving business away to its rivals.

Ben S says above, this software company isn't ready for 'prine time' . I take the view that on the basis of its blatantly obnoxious business model, KG Softwares never will be. Grrrrrrrrr.

german user is this a joke? what can this programm do, what i can not do with outlook?

with outlook i can export in csv - no problem. oultook does support even more export possibilities.
and why would i change from outlook to a different mailclient? no other pim satisfies my needs better than outlook.
and printing addresses? come on.

you have to offer additional features like crawling all mails in every folder and extracting the addresses that are not in your address book. that would be a nice addon to your software.
then you can check if the address is still working and mark it as good or bad so i can decide myself to export or not.
...

for me, a software has to improve something, reduce working time, ... - i can not see it here. so even for free i see no need for this software.

Eberhard I tested this program with Outlook2013 and Windows7. Was not quite happy with it, for 2 reasons:
1. When searching in bigger Outlook PST files (bigger than 1GB) the program stops working, a Windows error message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program".
2. I'm working in a company, let's call it ABC. So my and my colleagues' email addresses all end with @ABC.COM. I had expected to see thousands of colleagues' email addresses, from which I get or to who I send emails. Actually this program found only very few of them, and the vast majority of addresses it found were "non @ABC.COM" ones. I have no clue why the thousands of @ABC.COM addresses do not appear.
