Unfortunately Photopus does not support creation of rounded corners. You may check the mirror-rounded filter in Photopus, this will allow to create a round picture like this http://www.photopus.net/m...ounded.png

Stephen Stewart This software appears to have a major flaw in its re-sizing routine.

It does not appear that you can re-size to specified maximum dimensions without deselecting the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" option. If this is done, the image is distorted to fit the chosen maximum dimensions.

One should be able to maintain the aspect ratio of an image while re-sizing it to not exceed either the horizontal or vertical dimensions.

Robert Bull Rob User is right. You need a better name. I read it as "Photo Pus." Pus? Ugh. Send for the doctor. You can't call it PhotoPlus because Serif use that name. I presume you elided "photo" and "opus," and it would have been better to leave the name as the two-word original, assuming that does not infringe something else. Otherwise, please find something completely new. You really don't want a name that's actively offputting.

Rob User s user, thank you for your comment, I am really only referring to what I think is an amusing element in the name. Maybe it's a difference in language and how we interpret words and names differently.
As it happens I have already downloaded and installed the program and yes, it's good, and thank you for offering it for free via this site.

Brent Carey Nothing wrong with it's name. There are a couple of creatures that I think of when I see the name: a hippopotamus; an octopus; a platypus. So people lighten up...it's definitely a play on words!! :)

Can you change the opacity?

Also, when it saves, does it overwrite the original file or create a new image file?

I can see making a copy of the original files and working with THAT folder and NOT the originals. This is a good idea for many reasons.

Also, I just saw it, will it end tonight or will it still be offered on Monday for Labor Day ;)

Frank User Very weak program. Ok Windows 10 x64 Pro. Lot like XnView but slower & less features. Navigating folders awful. Result file size larger even applying no correction, and selected 3 with their default zero values.. Default slider as to quality is set at 75% but for test I used 100% and still got result larger.
Seriously, money for this?! Thanks for offer & a real name giggle.

I solved the problem by switching the browser from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge (even IE11 can do).

John User I was able to download and install the program and it looks pretty good. I liked that I was given the option of installing it to somewhere other than the C drive which is a small SSD on my PC and nearly full. However, I was surprised when I selected a folder of about 500 photos to process that the program had automatically created a folder (Photopus) in my C drive and that's where the processed photos ended up.

I guess there is a workaround for this, but I'm wondering why the processed photos cannot be sent to the same drive (and even directory) already set up by Photopus?

Otherwise, a useful program. Thank you for the chance to try it.

Stephen Stewart Successfully installed the Photopus program today.

It was very buggy in its operation.

Selecting files by directory browsing did NOT work (This is "File Management 101" stuff)

Some of the Colour options did NOT work (The sample image just went black!)

Many of the 'filters' are just gimmicks.

This program did nothing useful, actually.

I uninstalled it (it had more than 2500 Registry entries) Seriously????

Garbage program, I'm afraid..

Don't waste your time with this!!

Constantin Florea @Doug Lietz, When using our server to download a file the connection is using http:// (not secured) instead of https:// (secure connection). However that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with the file you download, it's just that that file will be downloaded over an http:// (not secure) connection instead of an https:// (secure) connection.
