PortablesFan Hi, I just installed your giveaway on a test system and have enjoyed using prior versions before. It was particularly a lifesaver back on Windows 8!
On your page https://www.startmenux.co...works.html (the very last line), I see mention of a portable version. How does one go about setting that up? I couldn’t find more info on your site. Is it an option hidden in the installer after you paste in a Pro key? Or does one, for example, create the portable version from an installed version?
If portable use is an option, I’ll buy at least 2 copies of this...

OrdinarySoft Hi Allan, since 6.0 version the start menu X and 10 is the same. You can switch a style in the options.

Nigel User I noticed that OrdinarySoft answered a few customer questions but either missed or avoided answering "RichU" when he asked "Where is the version number for this download?"
No use downloading and going to the trouble of installing if we already have this version.
It is very neglectful for this information to have been missed.

PortablesFan It’s 6.32, which I believe is the current version. It seems to have a native 64-bit option, as it did not install into the (x86) folder on 64-bit Windows.

^ I installed the giveaway on a test PC and posted this info for RichU earlier, but it got hidden as it was my second post in a row...

I downloaded the free version and purchased several licenses. The Options\Options\About shows the version as:

Start Menu X 6.32 bitsdujour (64 bit).

The installer automatically installed the 64 bit version.

The Start Menu X can change to 3 "styles", one of which is the Start Menu 10 style. both versions are the same functionally.

I find the Virtual Groups and the entire list of all the many programs installed to be why I purchased several licenses.

I might suggest one install the software while it's free AND if you like it to take advantage of the very low price to purchase licenses for future needs (when you have to reinstall the OS or a new computer purchase. Those were my reasons.

Wolfgang Hertzog My paid version lost its license due to a software error. No new hardware was installed. So I am not very happy about the buggy hardware check.

X User Trying to update from 5.x license to a Giveaway 6.x license. Gets deactivated and destroys my Virtual Groups And I cant even EXPORT the Virtual Groups on 5.x

How do I get around and fix this?
