Mathias User @Praveen Yes, the app and the browser extension will still work even if you do not upgrade after 1 year. We never turn anything off (which we could not do anyway, since everything runs on your machine). As @Doug mentioned, this is not a subscription, but a one-time purchase.

Chris User I'm trying to load browser pages containing tables with words/ numbers, scrape this data from the page and dump data into excel sheet.

Would Kuntu work for this purpose?

Mathias User Yes - web scraping is one of its key features. It can also save the data to a CSV file, which you can then load into Excel.

Gil Chichester Please explain this statement,

Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for 12 months. For versions after that, upgrades will require additional payment, which will not be discounted.

If I buy Pro2 now and want to upgrade to Enterprise in a few months how much would the upgrade cost?

Mathias User Hi Gil, you can upgrade to the Enterprise license anytime by just paying the difference in price, plus a $5 processing fee. But note that the BitsDuJour 41% discount is only available today.

Mathias User Kantu is the new SeeShell. Since Kantu Version 4, Kantu has all key features of SeeShell plus many more. Therefore we discontinued SeeShell. All SeeShell users received a free upgrade to the Kantu PRO and Enterprise Editions.

MojoMan Hi,

i guess I'm a little confused. I have been looking at a lot of macro / automation / RAP programs lately trying to find one that has the right blend of easy of use and capability. I found SeaShell which I learned is now a part of Kantu and it is open source as is Kantu. So, I'm not really sure what is open source and what is being sold here as I don't see the difference.

I'd love to try it and see what (and if) I can do with it for different tasks. The AI part is intriguing as I could think of a lot of things that may be able to be automated and see potential for application development. But at the same time I don't wish to spend money only to find it won't work for me for whatever reason.

If the Open Source version can do everything and is not limited in function I'd love to spend some time with it... And then, if there are other "paid" capabilities or other cost I would be happy to pay for it.

Maybe you can help clarify... and I hope your sale goes on another day or two until you can reply.

The key difference between the open-source and paid versions is that the later support computer vision (image recognition and text recognition (OCR)), direct hard drive access and technical support.

MojoMan Hi Mathias, I appreciate your reply as I could not find any such info on the website... no store, no "buy" buttons, no comparisons. At least I could not find them.

It seems to me that the free edition would let someone do a lot of experimentation. The page shows OCR support for the free edition but doesn't stipulate how that is different across editions other than the quantity of macro steps or OCR pages. Not sure about the image recognition part as it doesn't really stipulate.

But the free version would surely let someone get a good trial to see how it could be used and how easy/difficult it is to use and whether or not it is the right tool for the job. So, for me, I'll probably try it first and recognize that it may cost more late if it is the right tool for the applications I have in mind. Seems there are a lot of tools in this space an sorting through it all is quite daunting. A person could spend a LOT of time and money trying and testing.

Ronald Jurman Price/Package mismatch.

Advertising the Pro version, but the price shown only gets the buyer the Personal version. The actual Pro version costs more than twice as much.
