Gary User How do I get a refund? It is horribly slow to load, and can't be registered because of some problem at your server (it gives an "unstable" message). Also, I don't need an interface with a zillion other program tabs when all I want and bought was one. poorly designed, and I'm guessing based on the Commodore 64 loading speed very poorly coded.

Aug 30 2020 at 4:57am Copy Link

Norman Wong @Gary User

Our software starts, registration process all have tutorial video. Fast and stable. If you want to complain publicly about us here, you must provide evidence or you're trying to discredit us.

Our software design is very good, especially the interface design, and we are confident that we will not lose out when compared to any of today's most advanced Microsoft, Adobe, and Apple software.

You can refund in many ways, but you didn't choose any one, but yelled directly on our sales page - refund. According to your comment, I can see you have some understanding of software technology. So Can I imitate you "I'm guessing...", to guess you're employed by our competitors, you are the people who make money by pitting others.

Sanwhole - Aug 30 2020 at 5:46am Copy Link

Gary User I'm confident that most people who try your software will agree with me. What country are you in that you think you can shutdown people's opinions?

Aug 30 2020 at 6:10am Copy Link

0

Norman Wong @Gary User

What is your confidence based on? Do you have any basis? Or is it still based on your "I'm guessing"? Guess yourself are not enough, but you're going to have to take someone else's guess?

Isn't your comment still there? What country are you in that let you think your opinions are shut downed?

If you can't provide new evidence to support your point of view. Please stop pestering. It's a waste of everyone's time.

Cary Adams O WOW... a developer that attacks their customers. How wonderful is that? With that attitude, it's no wonder free world users don't come near Norman.

And yes, there are a zillion unwanted tabs on a WinXP-like interface, with the developer hoping to push many more apps upon the unwilling buyer by foisting unnecessary tabs on the user.

Calling "Gary User" a competitor is laughable, I'm confident that Microsoft, Adobe, and Apple have lost zero sales to Norman.

And finally... a caution to folks that use Google Meet with people they don't know. Only do so with a virtual connection on a VPN.

Aug 30 2020 at 7:39am Copy Link

0

Norman Wong @Cary Adams

“attacks their customers”, “WinXP-like interface”, “free world users don't come near”, “unwanted tabs”, “a caution to folks”... Why does a person have so many negative thoughts in just a few words? Even guesses are terrible! Does he really live in a free world? I only know that those who have no freedom are more eager to be free.

In my opinion: it's actually "talking to users," “the most fashion ribbon interface”, "never thought software would be linked to free world”, " "they are all necessary tabs," "no caution, I believe in Google"…

1

Free Ride @Norman Wong well, i'm a software collector (these people really do exist), so what i wrote makes perfect sense, i don't have to use a software in order to activate it without hassle and save it for later use. What i mean by this, i usually activate programs and just forget about them but the activation is still active. I'm not using hundreds of different programs at the same time installed on the same computer, that would be insane. You had a good approach for activating a license easily but you choosed to get the installation of your studio packet in the way, which i dislike (the merging of all products into one).

Norman Wong Hello Everyone!

Recently, there are illegal people, using a lot of other people's emails in our website for malicious registration. Because every time user register, we have to send a confirmation email. As a result, our system sent many emails for being cheated and suffered a lot of people complaints.

To protect our servers from spam attacks and avoid attacking you for being cheated, we recently launched EasilyControl Register service which is also one of our products. As long as you send us one simple registration application email, our system will automatically register for you. No confirmation email will be sent during the registration process.

We have a detailed description on the registration page and provide a screenshot and a short tutorial video.

Our website has been attacked recently, such as a few hours ago we just updated our server program to deal with the ongoing attack (you will feel that the Sanwhole website has been interrupted for a few minutes). We've been under attack for more than two weeks. But, I think we have to thank these guys for helping us find loopholes, so that we can continue to consolidate our system.

Sanwhole - May 5 2021 at 7:42pm Copy Link

0

Norman Wong We are often harassed by people who want money to write good reviews. We absolutely refuse their request, the result is that they will be crazy to discredit us. Some guys are amateur and easy to see, but some are professional. They first say something nice and then attack step by step. However, what they have in common is anonymity, conjecture, hypothesis and discrediting without providing any evidence to support their views. If you pay attention to my comments, you can see how I expose their ugly faces step by step.

Thank you for thinking “Sanwhole software may look promising”. I checked your email. We found that you have neither registered nor used our software. How do you know “its many required hoops to install and register their products.” How do you identify which steps are not necessary?

You said "Again, buyer beware." Please tell us here exactly what you warn us to be beware?

Sanwhole - May 5 2021 at 7:57pm Copy Link

Chuck @Norman I have followed your software here and downloaded a trial before from your website, which was not as straightforward as other sites. The wesite is, in my opinion, in need of modernization and streamlining.

Once done, I took a look at the registration process. The process proved convoluted and frustrating to me, especially compared with other software, so I moved on.

In addition, I pay very close attention to how developers respond to current and potential customers here. Every time a product is offered, regardless of whether I'm intrested or not, I follow the conversation. In your case, you appear needlessly combative at times. This may be due to a language barrier or cultural difference; I don't know. Nonetheless, you sometimes rub customers the wrong way in your responses. Other users here continue to voice similar concerns; even in this current conversation.

A little customer service goes a long way. And if customers continue to raise concerns with your registration approach, maybe a change in approach is worth consideration. No doubt you have lost more than a few customers, myself included, because of your approach.

As a long time bitsdujour user and supporter who has purchased literally dozens of programs here, I want to support developers with useful products, including you. Yet I will not support a product with a convoluted registration process or an abrasive developer. And I will continue to voice that same concern here in support of other users.

I hope you take this into consideration and make adjustments that attract and retain more customers. Until then, I will continue to monitor.

Good luck.

Norman Wong @Chuck You wrote a long reply. In order to make it easier for others to read, I will simplify it. If there is any omission, you can add it.

1. You didn't download the current vole briefcase software. Of course, you didn't install it, right?

2. You just looked at our registration process and didn't register in person, right?

3. Where do you think my personal "combative" view comes from? Is it here https://www.bitsdujour.co...tId=153297, or is it here https://www.bitsdujour.co...tId=153325

4,I checked all your 12 comments on our products, all negative comments. Your BDJ account shows "chuck has 103 comments on 47 products" https://www.bitsdujour.co...f/comments, obviously you're a professional commentator.

5, Professional writers should make money by writing, not spend money by writing. I don't know if your said "As a long time bitsdujour user and supporter who has purchased literally dozens of programs here,..." is true (since you said it, you'd better give evidence, otherwise it will make people feel that you are a liar), but I can confirm that you haven't bought our products.

6, How do you know about "No doubt you have lost more than a few customers,"? Do you have our user data or are you still guessing?

Obviously you missed what @Chuck tried to tell you. I kept monitoring this thread to see if it was just me having a problem with the way you treat potential customers, but I can see you take a rude approach to many others as well.

As @Chuck said, it could be a language barrier, but it does not excuse defending your argument at the expense of the customer. Hopefully you will learn something from this and have more respect for your customers going forward

If you don't post negative comments again, I forget that you are also a professional writer. Your BDJ account shows “Craig Haywood has 53 Comments on 25 Products” https://www.bitsdujour.co...o/comments

I'm waiting for @Chuck reply. Even @Chuck didn't say I rude him. Maybe he thought it was just a discussion. What do you say I rude him on. Do you think his character is inferior to yours?

What you do is as I said: "However, what they have in common is anonymity, conjecture, hypothesis and discrediting without providing any evidence to support their views. here https://www.bitsdujour.co...tId=156338"

you keep missing the point.

Good luck to you. Maybe one day you will realize your customers are more important than your ego.

As you will no doubt not understand what I just said, don't expect any more replies from me as this is going in circles.

Thank you for insinuating a prospective customer is a liar. That speaks volumes.

1. Correct, I have not downloaded the latest version because of the concerns outlined previously.

2. I attempted to register previously, got lost, and gave up on your software.

3. Your abrasive style is evident right here in this conversation, as other prospective customers can see and have acknowledged.

4. I am not a professional writer, but thanks for the comment. My profession has zero to do with software or professional writing. Of the 12 comments I have made on your products, three were suggestions, with one indicating I would PURCHASE YOUR PRODUCT if the changes were made. In another, I asked a clarifying question about licensing. How is that negative?

Perhaps you should compare the 91 other comments I have made on other product conversations to my purchase history (see #5). You might notice a pattern of (a) asking clarifying questions about the product, and/or (b) providing my perspective as a product owner.

5. I became a BitsDuJour member June 3, 2011 and have made 84 purchases here over the last decade. No doubt @Constantin Floria, the site administrator, can validate my customer credentials. Here's a screenshot of my purchase history:

https://www.dropbox.com/s...e.PNG?dl=0

6. You're right, I do not have your data history. Let me state it this way: based on comments from other posters on BitsDuJour in conversations during your sales of your various products, I have noticed some who have made a decision NOT to purchase your software because of challenges with the registration process and/or the way you engage your customers, to include in this very conversation.

I trust prospective customers will find this conversation enlightening.

Your acceptance of "1." and "2." is enough to show that your comments are too hasty. Whether you are a professional commentator or not, you should at least install, run, even register and activate it yourself when you make comments. This is the most basic respect for your readers.

3. Look at your comments today. If you say "abrasive style" it's you first, I'm just defending myself. Don't you allow it?

4, As you say "three were suggestions, one asked a clarifying question", don't you have 8 left? Can 8 / 12 negative comments change the nature of your negative comments?

5, Now that you have shown the purchase record, I and others will agree that you are telling the truth about the purchase.

6, So you admit that you guessed. If you are guessing, why don't you look at other people's comments, just look at the one above you. He seems to be saying “Awesome! Thanks for the quick support.”.

Both users and potential users are the most important to us. If you want to become our potential user, I hope you will post real, pro-test comments in the future. Whether it is criticism or praise, we always welcome it very much.

Thanks for your continued engagement. Unfortunately, this is not a law class. We can debate point by point, but in the end the conversation speaks for itself.

To be clear, this is a sales venue in which developers like you engage prospective customers like me. Based on your continued responses and whataboutism that ignores the crux of the conversation, it's clear that I am not your target audience.

As a consumer, I appreciate engaged businesses that listen to learn and improve both their products and customer engagement. I would highly recommend you and your team consider what role your communications and customer engagement strategy will play in your business plan going forward. You might consider engaging with a PR consultant to improve your business, because conversations like these do not help your cause.

Good luck.

Loyal Customer Very confusing. Where is the download link???

The Briefcase case page (a lonnnnnnng page with videos and extensive PR) doesn't seem to have a simple link to download the software.
The only download link I could see is for the Sanwhole Studio.

For crying out loud, simplify the download process.
All we need is simple download links (64 and 32, in case anyone on earth is still using 32 edition anyway).
Thank you.

RichU Loyal, I feel your pain... lol If it is like their other products, you need to install Sanwhole Studio, which includes briefcase, and then activate with the code you are given. If you already have Studio installed, and it is up-to-date, I think you just enter the code.

Loyal Customer Thanks Rich.
If that is the case, I do not intend to install their Studio, and I think that would be misleading and false advertising.
I hope BD steps forward and straightens them up, and does not allow such BS to go on under their watch.

RichU I don't think they are intentionally misleading, but I do think there is some language difficulty. IMHO, their instructions could definitely be clearer, to include 1. procedure for first-time users (including an explanation of the model. ie: Sanwhole Studio is required before any sub-programs can be activated.)
2. a separate procedure for users who have already installed Sanwhole Studio, including instructions to update the Studio if it is out-of-date. On my PC, I had to uninstall Studio before updating to the latest version.

Norman Wong @Julia, Hello.

Activation does not require registration or password. Follow the instructions, visit https://sanwhole.com/Prod...eBriefcase and see "How to activate using giveaway redeem code?".

jckinswo Julia & others;,take a look at the detailed but workable instructions below. In your case Julia, you got to the right "Redeem" page on Studio but saw the email and password parts which are only for paid versions. You need to copy the code from your Bits receipt email and paste it into the top box. The email and password part then gray out and you click on Redeem and go from there as described below.

As Norman Wong from Sanwhole states you don't need to register, etc. There are a number of assumptions that he and the instructions make starting with the instructions are all the way at the bottom of that page. The page has some useful ideas for using Briefcase but many/most wouldn't expect to have to go all the (long) way down to the bottom to find them. They're also too brief so...
Here's added detail that might be helpful for some:

1. Download and install Studio (if you haven't already). There are download links (green buttons) for 64 or 32 bit near the top of Norman's linked page to Briefcase (here's the same link: https://sanwhole.com/Prod...eBriefcase . Depending on your browser security settings, you may get some warnings. Bypass them and follow the installation instructions.

2. Open Studio and click on the first icon in the upper left corner which the instructions describe as the (large) round "Application" button (which has the infinity symbol inside it) and then select Redeem Purchase Code. Ignore the email and password and just paste the code (copy from the receipt email from Bits) in the top box (the rest will then gray out) and click on Redeem.

3. Click on the confirmation which follows and then click on "Briefcase" in the row of product links.

4. Shazam! Briefcase starts up.

5. Be patient and tolerant with translation oddities. English sucks for most non-native speakers and instructions are the pits in many cases in any language.

6. Bits runs a fair number of deeply discounted or giveaway options on other modules plus there's a few freewares at the site that could be worth checking out. I've yet to have the time to check them out. Your mileage may vary...

Oh and no, Loyal, there’s nothing nefarious in needing to download Studio. It’s just a shell for their modules that gives each person the flexibility to add what you want when you want and have them in one place rather than a bunch of separate packages. BTW I have no connection to Sanwhole, I’ve just spent a fair amount of time finding my around and thought I’d share

I imagine some link and work with others as well which you'd lose if they're not together. Lazar Voin Can you just post the link to the application you have for the Giveaway, and how do you do a search on 200 pages of advertising and buying options?

Can you make it simple so everybody can do this in 10 seconds instead of 1/2 hour?

Aproposs, I'm going to lose all my licenses acquired before you bought the company from the Germans, or this is the true purpose of this cumbersome way of activating a simple software, not different from other freeware out there?

Norman Wong @Lazar Voin, Hello.

"Can you just post the link to the application you have for the Giveaway,"

The relevant content of the software includes introduction, purchase, help, download, forum, promotion, activation, agreement, and so on. They cannot be merged into one page unless there is only one software. This is also the reason why activating instructions content is necessary.

“how do you do a search on 200 pages of advertising and buying options?”

Entering the search word in the search box will immediately result in results. Do not manually flip pages and search with your eyes.
To be precise, not 200 pages is 288 pages. It is our English version e-book product. We will soon add a large number of Chinese version e-books. But there are no advertisements inside. For example, the first book on the first page: https://sanwhole.com/Book...tland.html or last page: https://sanwhole.com/Book...lanes.html

“Can you make it simple so everybody can do this in 10 seconds instead of 1/2 hour?”

Ten seconds is definitely not enough. It takes 10 seconds to download a 400M file even on a gigabit network. It still needs to be installed and activated. If starting from the BDJ website purchase and using 1/2 hour to activate successfully is still quite fast, I think new users may not be able to do so.

“ I'm going to lose all my licenses acquired before you bought the company from the Germans, ”

I have checked your account at Sanwhole and everything is fine. If you have any questions about logging in or using, please contact us. Also, you should take a look at my reply to your previous post.

“a simple software, not different from other freeware out there”

Sanwhole was founded in 2008. Sanwhole focuses on software development, is active in areas that need to be addressed but still unresolved, and offers easy and enjoyable solutions. – see Sanwhole about. If you or anyone else finds a feature similar to the Vole Briefcase, it doesn't have to be exactly the same. As long as there are 50% similarities, we can give you the highest feature permanent license for free.

Robert User The web site appears chaotic to me. Lots of info, but no structure to the presentation of it.
I am hesitant to download/ install this, if the process of doing that is not simple.
Could someone that has purchased/installed this offer, describe what that process was like in detail
Thanks,
Rob
PS A quick google implies that we have to install the studio, then choose this giveaway out of list of all of their products.
I am not keen on that.
Just give me a simple download of this giveaway, and hopefully it is as simple/clean as possible.

Y Haha, the phrase “I’m not too keen on that.” Us Aussies tend to use negatives, “not bad,” “not too far,” “not happy with it,” “can’t fault it,” “could’ve been worse”, “hardly.”

Us Aussies tend to use a lot of negatives because we’re a cynical bunch, e.g “not bad,” “not too far,” “not happy with it,” “can’t fault it,” “could’ve been worse”, “hardly.” Haha
